I was one of the unfortunates who received a bad card with memory controller issues. Now, dont get me wrong, the card smokes - reasonable price to performance index. However, random crashes and a beta bios from XFX support that lowered ram clock speed, make this card a no go in my opinion. Wait for the next series and get this for sub $300.

This is my 3rd XFX video card. With this new model I am back on the ATI bandwagon. Previously using 2 XFX 8800 GTXs in SLI, this one card is faster for sure! Don't hesitate, great warranty and fast shipping from here.

This is a very powerful card. It runs Crysis very smoothly with Enthusiast settings, 4x AA, 1920 x 1080, the only 2 games besides Crysis that I've tried that pushes this card are Stalker: Clear Sky & GTA IV. Fan is like a jet engine if you turn it up using CCC, but it never has to go above barely audible levels to play a game, almost silent actually. Highly recommended!

I put this in my new build X58 3sli board with I920 Quad NOT OCed yet and 6 gigz of Dominator 16000 All running at stock speeds and this card is running just fine with the downloaded Drivers on Dual 22inch View sonic crts at hi res. Maxed everything I have and all is well. Not sure why I would need two but I built this machine so it can be OCed through time if needed. It IS Large But they all are at this level. You couldn't slip a Dollar Bill between this card and the HD enclosure in my Thermaltake Shark Case. Great piece of gear and I am happy with it. That is all

i have a pair of these in crossfire and couldn't be happier , my cards overclocked just fine , they both are at 945 core and 5740 on the mem and i have a q9550 clocked at 3.93 Ghz and together on my maximus II formula board this setup rocks . the cards themselves our very stable and i haven't had trouble out of the drivers either ( 10.2 ) maybe i'm just the luckiest man ever or maybe some of these other folks are just doing something wrong !?

Cons: Green dots appear on the screen. The dots get worse whenyou open a window and try dragging it. The linesloose their straightness and texture. 1

Pros: Looks good and that is all.

This is was a poor decision on my part to buy this card.I was really hoping it would work. I am not pleased withthe card. Save your money and do not but ATI products.I had the card installed by a professional and I had touninstall ATI and go back to my old BFG 8800 over-clockedvideo card. Hope to get my money back. Called XFX for tech support and they were no help at all.

Cons: crashes frequently and totally randomly even on older games

Pros: very powerful
Comment:
all in all it is a nice card, it looks good in your case and has good performance. thats is when it actually works properly. it crashes no matter how high or low the setting in the games are and no matter how new or old the game is. after reading up online it seams to be a known issue with this card with no real fix. i'm no expert but from what i read it seams to be a problem right from AMD. i hope it's only driver related and will be fixed soon.

Im running all my settings on Ultra for Company of Heroes and never lags. I've had it over 2 weeks and it runs great. Disregard the previous comments on the issues of the drivers. It works just fine. Just make sure you get the latest updated driver on the ATI Website... Jonathan

I am currently using 2 of these cards and they out perform my older 2x Gtx 260 core 216 SC editions by 200%. The cards are rather quiet with fan speed set at 30% , anything higher than that and they sound like a hair dryer. I would highly recommend these cards or even the standard XFX 5870 for the outstanding performance. Any issues that i have seen with the cards i beleive are Microsoft related and not Ati related.

I thought i was the only one with the grey screen of death, I was wrong. I called XFX and their solution didn't work. Then they said to wait a few weeks for the hotfix to come out. Forget this piece of junk, I want to try to get my money back and go back to Nvidia.

Awesome card, but no big difference with xfx 5870 normal edition.Max loading temp is a bit high, u'd better have good airflow for it.

Well the card itself is a tank. Runs smoother and cooler then my 4870 that I had. Down side... the drivers are poor. Had major lock ups and GSOD, (gray screen of death) due to the drivers. You cant OC this card which is fine because you don't need to. However in order to stop the freeze ups you need to UNDER clock the card from factory setting to 850mzh (core) and 1200mhz (mem). Not a lot but still. Hope the new drivers will fix these issues. Other then that great card but I would still wait a few months.

This is one heck of a nice card, it has the looks and it has the power! It has a back plate which I very much like. It cools very well, no real need to add an aftermarket cooler to this bad boy!

Cons: None unless your system cannot handle it, which wouldn't be a flaw from this Gcard...

Pros: Simply the best...
Comment:
ATTENTION: the advertised memory clock on NCIX is wrong. It's specified as 5200 MHz, actually it's 1300 MHz memory clock having a throughput of up to 5.2 Gbps (or around 5200 Mbps).

I got two of these (Crossfire) with my new computer. One of them, the primary, lasted about 3 weeks. Let's hope the other and the replacement fair better. In the meantime, the performance was great, and although I'm not sure Crossfire often buys much for double the price. Until the one began failing, the only issue I had was with what might have been a defective DVI to HDMI cable - or the card (and perhaps monitor) just didn't work in that configuration, not sure which. In any case, an HDMI to HDMI cable seemed to correct the problem. I think the price, or at least price for performance, and compared to the other available options is also quite good.

I write confusing cause I dont know which one to blame, the driver or the card. All I know is that this things are out of control. And to those that say come down people and search for the driver listen twat. the drivers are defective 9.12 and the hot fix did nothing. at least with nvidia you would play and not mind the small driver problem if any. But this thing is out of control. I have spent money $$$$$ for a nasty dragon II and cant even play cause the stupid card locks up with grayscreens and stripes LOL.

This game delivers like I would have never dreamed. Plays Empire: Total War with everything on and maxed!! Replaced a 9800 GT with this bad boy, difference is unbelievable. Drivers for this are excellent, don't listen to pple who don't take the time to search for updates online! Just download the ones from the ATI website along with Catalyst and you will be up and running in no time!! Only down side is price, but who cares if it lasts for 2-3 years. I used to be a green fan till this!
