Cons: Power hog, fan can be loud depending on usage, expensive. Currently there are no non-reference coolers just 3rd party from Accelero. Incompatible with AMD HD3D mode which is the best 3D mode available.

Pros: Extremely powerful, excellent crossfire scaling, XFX Lifetime Warranty and Overclocking BIOS warranty AND Transferable warranty. Drivers are stability are really good.
Comment:
I've had this XFX 6990 for a week and pushed it through every torture test I know of as overclocked it quite a bit and I'm very pleased even coming from a 5970 it was a big upgrade in speed and stability. I score just shy of 10,000 in 3DMark2011 and all the big games like Crysis 2 and Witcher 2 run beautifully at high frame rates completely maxed out. This card is necessary if you want to keep high frame rates with a 120hz monitor. The heat output on this card is actually quite good and much lower than my 5970 and it doesn't sound anywhere near as loud. Higher overclocking levels will cause the fan on auto to ramp up into audibly noisy levels BUT you can avoid this by either not overclocking as much or setting the fan to a lower max RPM; it won't be as stable in some situations but your temps will still be safe. Overall I am pleased that the fan isn't as loud as reported but I am considering putting a 3rd party cooler on it if it does a better job and is silent.

Cons: Pretty loud when you ramp the fan up. But being a high-end card, I wouldn't expect anything less.

Pros: Amazingly fast card, Overclocks very well(Currently running at 930GPU 1415Mem), can't beat the double life time warranty.

Would buy another one of these, wish I had bought them when they were first released. As they had a nice little rebate/price reduction.Drivers have been solid, and continue to keep getting better.Recommend this card if you've got the money to spend.
