Haven't utilized it yet I can not figure out this horrible plastic pin program. When I acquire a CPU fan I expect it to just use screws. No plastic bolts. This plastic bolt method cuts your fingers while the manual fails to clarify in detail how to install.I am most most likely going to have to modify it and get washers/screws from the hardware store just to use this piece of trash. Why not just screws!?

Does what it's supposed to,( cools actually well). I put this monster in my sister in-laws new create and the fan system monitor system had the fan rpm running under the low rpm default alarm setting which is 600 rpms.(Invidia application). cpu was staying at recommended temp. for the workload. Had to decrease the low fan speed warning needless to say. All divets on the cooling fins that are supposed to help hold the air dispersing luever in spot are punched up side down. So luever clickes right in to place at any level of fin you want but, it will be upside down. I didn't wont to rma so I just modified the fins at the level i wanted.

Nevertheless working with this on my amd x3 720BEI have removed this probally 3 instances to reseat and redo the thermal greaseStill cools like a champ for the low priceQuiet 120mm fan is great even at 100% speeds I noticed I had to slide this into position directly above the CPU as I could see part of the processor. This heatsink does not center extremely well and is hard to see exactly where the processor is below its HDT and finsCan not use the initial two slots of my RAM due to the fins but that is OK for 2x2gb Gladly suggest this heatsink to any person who wants to be "cool" cool, and quiet.

It does what it must. Installation was a breeze and it keeps my cpu quite cool. In reality, I have a 120mm exhaust fan proper behind it, so I didn't even bother with integrated fan. None. I installed this on an Athlon X2 6000+ which are known to run hot, but this kept my temps down under 40C devoid of even utilizing a fan directly on the heatsink. That's a fantastic cooler in my book!

Keeps my CPU (E8400) incredibly cool. Even with a modest O/C Ɠ. -> 3.6 GHz) it can hold the CPU temperatures to ㅮC at 75% speed! Vast improvement more than stock (ㅑC cooler). Overall size of the heatsink and fan ought to fit most circumstances with out a difficulty. At full speed, the fan is louder than other 92mm coolers I have had. Fantastic cooler, wonderful price tag!

Operates fine. Installed on 9850 in about ten minutes. Uncomplicated install for me...I read all the reviews 1st like anything I acquire from Newegg. Wonderful cost. I took an egg off mainly because I got this particularly to OC my 9850 a tiny. Stock cooler @ idle was about 42C (with CnQ enabled). About 45C 50% load. This cooler went to about 35C @ idle with no load and no OC. Then I put on a 12% OC to 2800Mhz and I'm back at 42C idle.I guess I was expecting a lot more. Employed Artic Silver 5 as constantly. Cleaned every thing with isoprophyl alcohol. In an Antec 300 with all the fans ƒ front, 1 side, 1 rear, 1 top). My two Zotac 8600GTs run at about 51C even with Riva bumping the fans to about 90% (because at 100% they are a jet plane). If a person can inform me what I'm carrying out wrong, I'm all ears.

got this for my spending budget rig. it is sitting on leading of my AMD Athlon 64 x2 6000 stock at 3.0Ghz and it idles at about or beneath 20c and so far under max load its under 60c playing crysis warhead, borderlands, fallout three and any other steam game.fan placement helps alot with my antec 300 case, the fan on the heatsink blows straight via the heatsink and into the prime 200mm fan, and also assist pull some of the ambient hot air off of my zotac 8800gt (amp!) not as spectacular looking as some other coolers to be sincere it doesnt appear a lot far better thent he stock amd cooler, but with it and Arctic Silver CMQ-22G it does a magnificent job.

Keeps my Phenom II relatively cool with some Arctic Silver. Rubber fan mounts a plus. -1 Egg because the fan's CFM seems a tiny too low and if your using this on an AMD setup your restricted to fan directions of up or down when mounting. Thermal paste application can be difficult with the direct heatpipe setup having gaps between the pipes and block but with a rapid pre-fill of said gaps on top rated of whatever approach you favor (rice grain, pea, line, spread, whatever) its not also huge of a deal. Like I mentioned ahead of, if your running this with an AMD, make positive you verify your case's airflow setup initial to see if up or down is acceptable due to the fact these are genuinely the only alternatives you have with this cooler.

Excellent price, fits snug on AM2, keeps my temps in 30's C, fits my case completely. Instructions weren't the greatest. I didn't comprehend the purpose of the fin that you have to insert. This is a great heatsink for my price range build and propose it.

great cooling capability, nice appear, inexpensive, not positive if the small air fin factor to push air on the mobo heatsink is carrying out something, but it is a nice touch the fan is the noisiest thing in my case when its idle (even over my 4850 with auto-fan manage maintaining it at 46C...)definitely going to require to replace it with a quieter one particularalso, the LGA 775 socket installation is a pain, but that isn't xigmateks fault purchase a quieter fan for it if you care at all about noise (even with obtaining an additional fan, it nevertheless comes out less expensive then any decent Zalman or Thermalright, and cools just as effectively if not superior)

The fan has been quiet and reliable. Poor mounting.insufficient cooling.Fins had been slid on, not soldered.direct heatpipe contact was horrible. The heatsink was worse than the stock cooler. I got 80c temps regularly with three.2ghz q6700Perhaps mine was faulty. It was poorly built and the direct heatpipe make contact with left tons of absolutely free space between the cpu and the plate.

Excellent solution in a tiny package. I have been fighting a overheat difficulty for two years on a HP M7248 Media center pc. HP assistance has been useless. I have previously replaced the fan and heat sink which helped some but didn't resolve dilemma with overheat lockup when rendering video with lockup occurring inside 35 minutes. The Xigmatek HDT-S963 solved the challenge with video over an hour long finishing correctly. Other well-known heatsink fans are too substantial for the available space in this mid tower case. Directions not clear on which direction to mount the fan and what to do with a 3pin connection and the 4 pin plug. 4 pin plug worked fine on my 3 pin connection This is a top quality solution that you need to function on your web-site a lot more prominently.

So far this heat sink is doing extremely very goodI have my quad at three.2ghz and the temps reach 50C on full loadIdle is only at 34C Does not appear as flashy as other ones, but that is not as important as preformance. Extremely excellent so far, and cheap as well

Cools like none other. My 9950 is OC'd to three.4ghz suitable now at a cool 21C. Under full load it hasn't reached 40c however. The amd retention bracket I really like. It beats the heck out of push pins. Challenging as hell match in my Ant3c Skeleton case. Set up almost everything else 1st, THEN slide the cooler in side and install. cold.

Takes a tiny considering to get put with each other but after your accomplished it makes ideal sense.

Finest bang for the buck. This is an overclocker's cooler via and by way of. Low-cost and efficient. With my Q6600 @ 3.2Ghz temps on my preceding cooler had been encroaching 80c (!) when running Prime95. This cooler hardly ever breaks 60c. Idle temps are in the mid 30's. To save cost they did not include things like a bolt-on kit for 775 processors. You *really* must acquire the kit for the maximum advantage from this cooler. I want they supplied an choice to get the kit bundled. I am actually satisfied with this cooler. It fits my MicroATX mid-tower completely and has a really solid building.

This fan is Wonderful! Had it for about a year and a half to two years now. Just before I changed fans my CPU was running at about 65C on the stock cpu fan. When I installed this beast the temp dropped beneath 35C and it under no circumstances goes above 37C. Quite major fan. Had to take out the fan on the side of my case to make it match. I don't care about what other people say. If you can't stand a small sound from a fan then you want to stop employing pcs. Seriously. It's not a con.

Definitely cooled my technique superior than e8400 stock coolerLots of shiny finsnot too complex to assembleChanged my cpu idle temps from 50-55 to 41-45(with arctic cooling thermal paste) A bit loud(as others described). It's not like a rocket or something, but my program's sound was practically non-existent just before but now that I put this in, it has gotten a bit loud. When I play games or listen to music, I don't hear it even though.Fans are a bit lightweight. They can bend a bit but aren't effortlessly manipulated.A bit tall(but most very good aftermarket coolers are big anyways) Match in my Raidmax Smilodon with Asus p5q se/r nicely. Surely a excellent deal. The only point I would like to have changed on it is the sound. The fan just tends to make a bit of noise.

Really tall heatsink, which is cool, cause females love tall heatsinks. Hotest I can get it is 44C immediately after about an hour heavy gaming, 30C at idle. Fantastic fan, extremely rather! ConAgra excellent deal if you can get it beneath MSRP.

It keeps it a lot cooler then the intel stock, and it's worth it for the price tag. It's a challenge to install, I spent about an hour undertaking it, but this was my very first develop.I truly hate the pushpins, if you buy the mounting bracket, then I would say this is just about excellent.

Quite quiet fan. No challenge with mounting (i did this just before putting in the motherboard although). Rubber mounts of fan to heatsink a tiny flimsy looking, but they work well, and after installation just sit there and incredibly little, i mean a wisper, of noise from the fan. Cools down my heatpig Pent D 830 to like 33 deg below challenging load, nevertheless fan is not loud (my energy provide fan is so much louder). I situated the fan to blow straight to the case outtake fan behind it. thermal grease that came with it is low good quality, but i used it anyway. need to have much better thermal grease shipped with it.
