Inexpensive -- particularly when it goes on sale!Duplexing is a fantastic function.Print good quality is excellent. I could not duplex print a spreadsheet from Excel, but, like every little thing else in my life that goes wrong, I'm going to blame it on Microsoft.Like the other Brother printer we have, it likes to complain about not possessing toner when it seriously does. Fortunately, you can adjust the printer settings so that it will continue to print with out having to replace the toner cartridge. It still complains, though. If you let it, the installation CD will install its Print Monitor. This is what displays the 'out of toner' and other messages. I removed this from the list of programs Windows loads at startup so that it won't give me any (especially toner) notices. We use this printer as a wired network printer, so I can't speak to its wireless capabilities. The wired network setup was a breeze.

Rapidly, prints practically twice as quickly as my 踰 colour brother 4070Duplex!Wireless, only cord attached, is the power cord!inexpensive! Even the toner's cheap @ฮ-ish Not color! Not cost-free! Seriously, it's one particular of the best printers I've ever owned, especially for a inexpensive <贄 a single, I'd give it six-stars if I could. No issues with XP, 7, or even Linux. I've had a bit of a difficulty with the mac, it doesn't want to duplex, but that's a mac/driver challenge.

I own a HL- 2070 which I have had for 2 years with one jam in Ŗ YEARS". I also have a MF ink jet that just simply works. I have noticed bad critiques and wonder what they were doing to have such a poor practical experience with a Laser printer under 贘. They are a bettter purchase than Lexmark and HP. It does make light flicker when they initial begin up, but after it begins the print excellent is good and difficulty absolutely free. I also have both of my Brother printers on a wireless network by means of a router. After two years of owning 1 my only complaint is I have to buy paper for the point. Brother tends to make exceptional merchandise that are straightforward on the pocket and for Laser cartridges and Ink Jet Toner, you cannot beat Brother!!! Period

This review is round two with this Brother model and reflects combined usage of a single printer purchased at a regional box retailer and NewEgg acquisition. Combined ownership is about 5 months.------It prints, decent toner life, easy setup-Ƒ.ten firmware) Truly the only economical worth-value-packed network printer on the industry I would propose to any one particular needing a expense effective monochrome laser printer option. I dont appreciate setting up printers nor do i get jazzed up by print work orders, however the newest 2270DW by Brother is by far - tops! This printer, hands down when comparing to samsung, hp and cannon plus a few other people, is the easiest on Ethernet setup and wifi. On the other hand Note: WITH the most recent owners literature instruction book. Install as P2P(if you have a router/gateway), update your firmware by downloading from Brothers site and your golden. Duplex printing truly works! All this such as Ethernet and Wifi? Amazing. Brother has come of age. Wifi QOS, note also similar to other brands, nonetheless sucks. grab a wireless print server from NewEgg if you seriously want this function. A person point me in the correct direction on this facet?? I've searched higher and low for a decent wifi print server and have however to discover one particular. XP Pro 32 and 64 bit set up smooth as silk. Firmware update effortless, no need to have for TFTP client - download most up-to-date drivers and Brothers handy flash util although your at it. Brother's Assistance web page simple to navigate! What takes hours with other brands will be time saving with this model. Lastly a monochrome printer that hits the cost-point, function packed and operates.

We have not genuinely tested this but excellent is wonderful, it's quickly and double side printing for the expense of a single side unit. We have 3 other Brother printers and are incredibly delighted with all 3. prints in monchrome only, oh that's proper I didn't order the colour printer...

Quickly printing and the computer software created it straightforward to use. Duplex was a breeze. Prints quickly and has a moderate noise level which is everything I could have asked for! Wireless setup was a small bit confusing to use, but that may possibly have been my personal fault as this is my initially wireless printer. Despite the fact that the description doesn't specify, the printer does come with a toner cartridge.

Great excellent prints.Quick.Duplex Printing.Wireless.No problems installing. My toner just ran out, considerably sooner than expected. My toner just ran out, after about 300 pages. I just noticed the sticker on the front (which I by no means took off) says that the printer ships with a 700-page toner cartridge. I got far significantly less than that. I have employed about half a ream of paper. I didn't print something but text. I didn't do a lot duplex printing. Now I want to figure out where to get toner. Newegg has toner cartridges TN450 񢒨 pages) for ฺ. I have seen more affordable alternatives- about ฮ for a TN450 substitute. I haven't decided what I will attempt but. I guess I wont actually get 2600 pages from TN450.

This is a quite low cost, little, lightweight, duplex, monochrome, networking laser printer. It was simple to set up, and prints beautifully. The starter toner cartridge expires just about immediately, and the least pricey toner for this printer runs about ำ per cartridge. The starter cartridge can't be easily refilled as there is no gear / lever to set the page count back. The lever / gear is sold by some 3rd celebration web-sites, but it is less complicated to commit the ำ then refill. Add ำ to you estimated cost for this printer to incorporate the print cartridge you'll want just about from the immediate you print web page 1.The Brother handle center software program operates incredibly good with almost any Computer or Mac, and if you have many brother printers it is incredibly helpful / helpful.

Good high quality, rapid, prints on both sides. Printing on each sides is a true treat and I didn't count on it when I initial bought it!USB printing and network (wired or wireless), this is great! It appears that I can only print when per boot. The printer usually stays offline and does absolutely nothing when I send it a print job. I've attempted everything. I own a computer repair small business and was going to stock these for future consumers but following using it for a day or so, I have really unfavorable feelings about this unit. The troubleshooting utility says the unit is off when it is on and on when it is off! I can't print unless I entirely reboot and then it is iff'y on no matter if or no it will print. If it does print it will only do one document and then it will start out acting up once more. I am so dissappointed with this machine. I see all the other five star testimonials and I thought there was no way this printer could be undesirable but right here we are. I guess I have to locate Brother tech help and see if they have dealt with this ahead of. If this problem didn't come about I would price the printer at 5 stars but as it stands it is unusable.

Low cost (I paid ๠ at NewEgg). Rapid. Networkable. Prints both sides. Very easily installed when I upgraded to Win7. It doesn't wash the kitchen floor . . . This is a fantastic small printer. Getting applied other Brother printers in the previous and been extremely happy I snapped it up at ๠ with free shipping. Love the ethernet connection (have not attempted to use the wireless) and the duplex printing. It's been perfect so far.

Easy wireless set-up. First installed on my desktop Windows XP-SerPak3. Rapid set up using Wi-Fi WEP--no need to use either USB or ethernet cables. 2nd set up on my HP ProBook 4525s (Windows 7 Pro 32-bit)--rapid & easy no cable set up.Duplex printing--exact same amount of toner but half the paper expense! Newer model; not a lot of aftermarket toner assistance--yet. Option between a Canon AIO laser and the Brother HL-2270DW. Similar newegg price for either. The Brother had a a lot larger feedback rating, plus duplex printing.

Print excellent is quite excellent for it's price tag range. Rapid Printer. Modest footprint. Wireless/Wired/USB connectivity. Massive energy hog. You can essentially hear the APC UPS cycle when this issue turns on, and it's not even plugged into the UPS. Making use of an Avanti watt meter I measured 1000 watts at startup and cycling down to 200-300 watts in the course of printing, and about five watts in standby. Can't afford to leave this issue running. I don't believe my household A/C technique draws this considerably power ! What had been they pondering? I've by no means had a laser printer that pulled so significantly electrical load. Perhaps it should be a 240v printer? Maybe plug it into the dryer outlet?

Super simple setup, specifically if you have a router with 1 push setup. Just hit the button on the back of the printer then hit the button on the router, it does the setup itself. Really quickly printing specially for the price. Its a really nice seeking tiny printer and fits in just about anywhere. If you select you can still really hard wire it through USB/Ethernet straight to your modem/pc. Duplex printing is sweet, saves paper and functions much better than expected. The printer also has a manual paper tray hidden behind the "Brother" emblem if you want to print a post card/envelope/ect. The toner for this infant is dirt low cost here on Newegg. For less money than an inkjet refill I picked up a higher yield toner cartridge 񢒨 pgs). With the quantity I print that will last me five years. Its a bit louder than I expected and there is only one particular button on the printer and no lcd readout or something of the like so all settings have to be managed from the computer/mac you're printing from. I didn't notice the extreme power draw some folks are talking about. It may still be there, but it certainly doesn't make my light flicker. Haha.

Speed, assortment of connection techniques, and size. Installation went flawlessly on Windows 7 and XP, connected wirelessly. Pages curl more than with other similar laser printers I've owned. Also, the gripper on every edge of the paper seems to place an indentation along each and every side, but that could have something to do with the paper I'm at the moment making use of. Pros far outweigh the cons. I picked two of these up for ๩.99/e with absolutely free s&h from Newegg, could not have asked for a far better deal. Much better than anything from HP or other folks in exact same price variety.

For the price tag, the duplex printing and rock solid efficiency so far can't be beat. I use it in a residence setting as the default printer when a inexpensive printout is all that is needed and it fits the bill. Even on it's decrease quality settings, I uncover prints to appear quite good. It is definitely silent till you hit print, at which time it does make some noise, but the level is acceptable. So far, I've been impressed. Set up was pretty straightforward and the manual precise. The casing appears less costly than the small HP I have at work, with the plastic flexing a little when I choose it up, but due to the fact I don't plan on picking it up considerably, I guess this is minor. I located this printer to be easy to set up with my wireless network, despite the fact that I located the course of action of setting it up with my second and third computer systems on the network to be slightly unique than the initially pc and the printed guidelines, though it was intuitive. I'm hoping inexpensive third-celebration toner and drums come out ahead of it's time to replace.

Trouble-free for me to set up, but the setup may very well be hell for the significantly less skilled. I got every little thing up and operating in about 10 minutes, including installing it on a Windows, Ubuntu Server, and OS X machine. As nicely as finding AirPrint functioning with the aid of Ubuntu. The printer does not dim my lights as others have stated it does. This may very well be as a result of my lights in my office are on a several circuit than the printer. Printer is rather reasonably sized, taking up much less space then my earlier InkJet printer. Setup could be challenging for the less knowledgeable, and the guide is a bit lacking. Loving the printer so far, I hope to get a great deal of years of service out of this printer.
