Cons: -ram sinks takes take some pushing to be comfortably in place-takes 3 slots with a fan on....

Pros: -great silent cooling-fits a 92mm (using an 80mm with mine)
Comment:
got this on a 8800GT and the temps are great..i get the same temps on stock fan Overclocked with just using this alone minus any fan and noise with 5c cooler, the ram sinks can be a pain but once they've fell on you a couple times they stick with ease and are no longer a problem This review was modfied by poster @ 05-30-09 03:34 PM

i got this to replace the stock hsf on my hd 4870 oalit sonic dual edition. stock was loud (but cooled better thanstandard 4870) and i wanted a quieter solution. it oddnt drop  my temps dramatically (now idles at 40) but thats not what i got it for. i put a noctua nf-p12 on this and cooling went from loud to zero. yes, no sound at all (with ulna though). a good buy.

Cons: Takes up quite a bit of room in the case.

Pros: -Brought the temps down big time. Quiter than the stock cooler.

I picked this one up the other day and installed it in my machine. All I really want to say that this has been a great purchase and I can recommend this cooler to any HD2900xt owner.

Cons: Huge

Pros: Really cool the power hungry HD2900Xt, well built.
Comment:
I had similar result as DrJazz using a 92X25mm fan on it,don't know exactly why but idle temp. went down and burnin temp went very high. When i order the HR-03 i was very concern with the space to fit it in place having a P5K Premium it's not the best PCI slot layout so i order 2 little 80X15mm Zalman ZM-OP1 join them with 2 tiny tie-wrap and i strap them in place with a big one plus i seal the surround of those fan/cooler with aluminium tape after that i install a ZALMAN Fan Mate2 using a splitter and reduced the fan RPM +/- 1700RPM and the result was noise less and impressive. From stock cooler 83deg.C GPU and 67C for the PCB running at 850Mhz i went down to GPU 62C and PCB 58C. Maybe where both fan are tie together it concentrate more air in the middle compare to one big fan who move air mostly in is outer not the inner part of the fan blade. And i install the cooler face down and i can still fit my Auzentech Prelude sound card.I'm use to Thermalright cooler so far i used several different model and they always work great, this time i just had to scratch my head a little.I forgot to tell that my 2 Zalman cooling fan are plug in to and controled by the motherboard if the motherboard pcb temp go over 37 deg.C the fan goes full spin from 1700rpm to 2600 +/-200rpm depending of my Zalman FanMate2 adjustement. Cons: Price

Pros: Quiet, Better cooling
Comment:
My idle temps went from 52c to 46c Before with stock cooling I needed a big fan blowing under my card into my case for overclocking, Some games just need it like the crysis demo mabe its just my rig but I was getting some lag with med settings now I can overclock my 2900xt as much as I like as this thing keeps the temps down nicely with a high overclock

Cons: In the "wrap-around" installation option, the voltage regulator temps are not ideal

Pros: Quiet with a 92mm Nexus fan installed on it; cools as well or slightly better than the stock cooler
Comment:
Unit was not the easiest I have installed, but it was not particularly difficult either, other than tightening the screws after installation (difficult to reach under the heat sink fins). I installed mine in the wrap-around configuration where the heat sink wraps-around to the back of the card. While this fits better in my case (an Antec P180 with a Nexus 120mm intake fan), in means that the heat sink fan (a Nexus 92mm in my case) does nothing to cool the voltage regulators on the front of the card. While my core temps remained pretty much the same as with the stock cooler (I used Arctic Silver 5 with the HR-03, BTW), my voltage regulator went from 52 degrees at idle with the stock cooler to 64 degrees with the HR-03, and under load from 71 degrees with the stock cooler to over 95 degrees with the HR-03.I ended up wedging another 120mm fan inside the case to increase airflow over the video card, bringing the voltage regs temperature down to a more comfortable 57 degrees at idle.Of course the big advantage is that the HR-03 is MUCH more quiet than the stock fan, and that's the main reason I bought it.
