Just received from Newegg and plugged in my hdmi's from the ps3 and popcorn hour units into it. It functions flawlessly. It automatically switches to the device that is delivering the signal to it and sends it to my Yamaha receiver. Now rather of 2 hdmi inputs I have 7 none so far |

It functions any individual who has a massive problem with this either has ultra expectations (wants it to read their minds) for a fairly inexpensive piece of hardware, or didn't read the description.The only "problem" I've encountered is there is a slight delay in altering inputs. |

Low price HDMI switch. Automatically switches to the device you energy on final. No need to have to use energy adapter, unless employing the RF receiver. 5 HDMI in ports. I had an Apple Television (Gen 2), Verizon FiOS HD Cable Box, Slim XBOX 360 S and a Sony 3D Blu-Ray (BDP-S570) player connected to this switch and it would not operate at all with the Blu-Ray player nor would it function properly with Apple Tv.A single thing that came to mind is that the Apple Tv doesnt have a energy switch so I consider any device that has continuous power current might not operate correctly with this switch. Nevertheless, I attempted to switch it manually and it wouldnt pick up the signal. Only when I pulled out the power plug to the Apple Television and reinserted it would it switch and show up on my Tv... Unusual.As for the Sony Blu-Ray player... It could be the continual power flow, which I disabled, but nevertheless no luck -or- it could be the HDMI cable. Only purpose why I mention the HDMI cable is simply because the Blu-Ray player is 3D prepared and the newest firmware updates have enabled that feature. Possibly, just maybe, due to the fact it requires much more bandwidth, my present cable is not sending the signal effectively? I cant say this is a Bad item, but it didnt fully work for my setup. Hopefully, its just the HDMI cables I am employing, but I cant say for positive. For basic HDMI connections, this switch must do okay. It just didnt perform for me... In some scenarios, you get what you pay for. That may possibly be the case right here. |

Operates for 45 minutes-ish Flickers screen then dies... I tried RMAing for a second 1 and have the identical difficulty. Will be returning for refund and attempting a unique brand. |

Hasn't been burned it but for me to comment on longevity but out of the box it was really straightforward to setup and get a xbox, BR player, Comcast cable box, and Zune dock working without a difficulty. Can't turn off the auto-switching. Mild annoyance occasionally, sometimes a helpful thing.Seem to have some problem with IR more than 15'. Works, just not super effective (could program a Harmony remote to replace it). Worried that cost may well indicate a cheaply produced product but (without a lot time so far), it is carrying out exactly what we expected without challenge. |

I had no problems with this switch at all. I installed the I.R. sensor but it looks like I might not even want it considering that the auto-sensing technology seems to perform very well. Does specifically what I necessary. I must have rated this 5 eggs, I was even going to obtain one more 1, but then NewEgg raised the price tag sharply right after I just bought it. I am leaving the actual cost amounts out of this assessment in order to comply with the NewEgg "Product Assessment Guidelines". I will also refrain from criticizing NewEgg for this sharp rise in order to further comply with the NewEgg Item Assessment Guidelines. There are a few companies that I actual appreciate due to their outstanding consumer service. I spend extra dollars at these firms mainly because of the way I am treated. Operate like it suppose. Have PS3 and computer system hook up to.Autoswitch function perform. nope, have no sign of problem Remote would have to point straight at receiver for it to function and switch. Not that major of a deal for me. Commonly Autoswitch would kick in when i turn on the PS3 when I on my laptop or computer and that is generally fine for me. |

Good picture, little, auto-detects input source, makes it possible for switching source with device button or remote. Working with with XBox 360, Patriot Box Office and a WD Tv Live Plus HD. Makes use of energy adapter. Sensor for remote is not built in but a separate piece with a extended wire. When it worked it did what I got it for (auto sensing an HDMI signal and swapping to the last turned on device) Following a week of use it decided to 1st send random colors to the screen, then a scrambled signal, and finally nothing. Following individually testing each and every component I discovered this to be the culprit. I removed this device and directly connected the client devices to my surround sound (now requiring me to swap inputs) and I have no issues. All devices in the chain are HDMI 1.3c compatible. I attempted rebooting the unit, employing a unique HDMI cable, trying unique ports, and hooking it directly to the Tv. All resulted in no signal to the Television. The item is as very good as a paper weight. Normally I have no troubles getting a replacement from Newegg, but for some cause (after a small much more than a month of ownership and they still sell the similar item) they will not replace it with no the extended warranty. I guess I'm out of 40 bucks. |

This HDMI Switch is precisely what I was searching for! It has 5 inputs for all your residence theater requirements. The added remote is also nice when you have numerous things running and will need to switch in between them. It eve auto-switches to the most recently turned on issue. The auto-switching can not be turned off when you don't want to use it. But it only takes a handful of seconds to push the button and have it turn back so practically nothing big. I would advise this to any person searching for a way to easily hook up several HDMI devices to one House theater.
