Cons: - Volume goes from 0 to 80, i've read that it is to have a greater precision on the sound but honestly I don't like to have to hold the volume button to get the level I want- If used, component input will void one (or two) HDMI inputs. Huge disappointment for me (see summary for details)- OSD Menus available only through HDMI
Pros: - Clear nice sound- Subwoofer is very powerful- Cool green display on receiver- OSD Menus (HDMI only)- Nice design, speakers are beautiful- Reasonably priced, high value |

Cons: Bad Hum from the sub

I bought this unit from NCIX and after 2 days there was a loud hum/buzz coming form the Sub. I wanted to return it but I couldn't because I didn't have the original packaging (My Bad). So, NCIX replaced the sub and receiver for me. After 4 weeks the second unit did the same thing, but louder... I tried all the regular troubleshooting things like new speaker wire and different power source but it continued. My old yamaha was plugged into the same power source for the last 2 years... I Tried to open another ticket with NCIX and they told me to call the manufacturer... Funny that. Anyway, don't buy this bad boy and if you do, Keep the packaging!!! Generally, this system is AWESOME. Nice look, nice sound, the subwoofer is simply amazing, putting the volume only at 40 and the house was shaking!I especially enjoy the OSD Menus, but for some reason it is available only with HDMI devices.What made me put 4 stars instead of 5 is the way they have designed the inputs. I thought I could use 4 HDMI + 2 component devices. I was wrong. You actually get 4 inputs, no matter if they are component or HDMI.Inputs goes that way:- BD/DVD (HDMI **OR** component)- VCR/DVR (HDMI)- CBL/SAT (HDMI **OR** component)- GAME (HDMI)Be advised before buying!Otherwise, this kit deserve a 5/5.
