Affordable, plug and play Blu-Ray drive. As usual, Newegg shipping was prime notch. Can't burn Blu-Ray's. Knew that going in though XD

Rapid shipping, uncomplicated RMA Add me to the list of DOA with a non opening tray :( It was a gamble judging by the testimonials, so I tried... Glad I don't play the lotto

Player was inexpensive, but came with no cable. The computer software Cyberlink power eight software program had to be updated just before it would play at all, and then it didn't work effectively. When finally I got it to perform, the player skips!Just about every handful of seconds each sound drops out and image either skips or freezes for a second.

The price tag. Attempted for a couple of days to get it to study blu ray discs. Managed to get it to read one film one time and I even attempted installing it in extra computer systems. By no means had trouble with lite-on in the past. Will absolutely keep away from them.

It does certainly play blu ray Eject button doesn't operate. At all. I have to eject it by appropriate clicking on the drive. Blu ray is not worth it, but. Watched "Life" on a 23" 1920x1080 screen, frankly I'm not extremely impressed.

Worked fantastic out of the box, the PowerDVD eight software it came with does play BD's just fine, not positive what issue other folks were getting with it. There was no need to have to obtain other software. Doesn't come with any cables. Luckily, I've got a bunch of SATA cables lying around, but I didn't have a molex to SATA energy converter, so that meant I had to wait until I got 1 to use it.

Quiet, reads quickly enough to rip the "full movie" of "How to Train your Dragon" at 100% ྴgb) with the TrueHD audio in about 25 minutes, working with DVDFab. None Only issue i have now, is that i have run out of SATA porst and had to unplug my DVD-burner for this drive, but then i feel of when was the last time i ever wrote a CD or DVD... so i will almost certainly just get an external case for when i require to burn a DVD (but with obtaining so numerous slim external difficult drives, that wont be anytime soon!).

cheap but works. Order two. Initial drive with PowerDVD v8. Second drive has no software program, just the drive. Inconsistent shipment. Thus 4 eggs. To play 3D movie, I have to upgrade the Optiplex 745 ATI x1300 pro to 4350. It operates with Valentine 3D, Center of Earth 3D. Valentine 3D Blu-ray downloads more firmware from Lionsgate to enhance the movie.

Does what it's supposed to do. From out of the box I had my technique back up and running within, I kid you not, under 10 minutes. Tested fine and essentially installed itself. That was 5 months ago and it's been going strong. I'm running Win7 64bit and this worked from GO. I don't know why some persons are complaining about the drivers but I'm here to say that if your running Win7 64bit you'll have zero problems. No challenges with functionality and playback AT ALL.NOTE: I don't know if this is a extended time, but it takes 30-40 seconds from the time you put in a disc till you get the 1st image on screen making use of ArcSoft TotalMedia Theatre 5 embedded in WMC. Just so you know. None so far for playing Blu-Ray movies. Purchased in December 09, worked great for 5 months. Stopped recognizing blu ray discs immediately after five months, can't play them, can't rip them, can't see them in windows explorer. Nevertheless recognizes DVDs without having a challenge. It has a bright future as a doorstop.

Well I opened up my case and connected it right up to my mobo. Installed cyberlink powerdvd and it worked perfectly fine. Don't know why persons can't understand how to work with OEM parts, and give this blu-ray drive such undesirable testimonials.Looked beautiful watching inception and the social network. None

It's been over a year and keeps functioning fine, plays any DVD/Blu-Ray I've thrown at it, matches my case nicely, performs with Windows 7 as effectively as Mac OS X PowerDVD 8, which this comes with, is the biggest piece of junk I've ever had the displeasure of working with in all my days on this blue sphere we call Earth. It's as if it's sole objective in existence is to tick off as several persons as feasible in the shortest amount of time doable. I sincerely hope that Cyberlink burns in a fiery abyss full of toxic waste and garbage for making, and then deciding to quit supporting, this piece of computer software. I'm pretty sure PowerDVD eight, and PowerDVD 8 alone, will be responsible for all my nightmares in the months and years that will follow. The real cherry on the cake was when I bought Avatar Collector's Edition and it refused to play the disc, demanding I spend ๳ to update to a newer version of PowerDVD. I don't believe I've ever been physically angry at a piece of software program, but that'd do it. My suggestion of what to do with the bundled PowerDVD eight disc: use it as some sort of shiny frisbee, or maybe a coaster as you utilised to with the old AOL disc. PowerDVD 8 has ruined my life.

Affordable, performs fantastic. I suggest acquiring Energy DVD ten, it's a greater system than the a single supplied. Blu Rays appear wonderful. I don't know if persons are getting problems due to the fact of the rest of their system but mine works wonderful. - AMD 3.four quad core- four GB DDR3 1600- Radeon 6870 I can't complain... it was โ for a functioning blu ray player.

excellent drive, reads discs rapid, don't have to wait extended and came with cyberlink powerdvd 8. Downloaded ten and operates good with 10 as effectively. Forgot to read that you can only play discs. Not burn cds or dvds. Kinda a bummer but oh well. Wonderful drive if you only want to be watching points.

Price tag is difficult to beat, even if no software is included. Doesn't perform with BluRay movies, even after updating the drivers from Lite-On's download site (after running their new SmartPack utility). Don't fully grasp the proble. LiteOn gives no assistance for this model drive other than a generic driver. No manuals offered for download either.

This is to the N/A on leading there with the "high" tech know-how. ;O) No, this is just a player dude but I would lower your tech score next time. Just a thought... I've been building my personal water cooled rigs for about ten plus years now and I only think myself as typical as far as tech information so... Newegg.com is the finest spot to obtain something tech and more! I actually don't personal this a single but for the value it's a no brainer if you require a BD/DVD/CD ROM player. Who me? For me even though I believed that if I went so far as buying a Blue Ray drive, why not acquire the re-writable which I did from the Egg.
