Substantial Really feel, sturdy case. Not some thing I would carry in my pocket, since the memory card is left exposed when it is placed in the card reader. Fantastic general product

The lights came on. Advertised as an SDHC card reader, I was hoping for a low cost option to a full swap of my current card reader to accomplish the job. The AData 16Gb SDHC card could be observed but not read. Attempted on a pc with Windows XP and one particular with Windows Vista. No dilemma with the reader with other cards that are plain SD, but we already have that capability.

Reads regular cards (non-SDHC) fine. I attempted two unique 4 gig SDHC cards. They have been able to be read fine with a inexpensive reader that I had. Would not study at all with this reader.

Functions, reads SDHC. No protection for card slot when not in use. Bought this to replace comparable card reader that would not study SDHC (greater than 2GB) cards. Be cautious what you get - model RC320 which looks similar and is cheaper does not read SDHC cards. Employing Windows 7 64-bit.

The "packaging" didn't say that it's compatible with SDHC (above 2GB) memory card, but it functions fine with my PNY 16GB SDHC class 4 and also with the A-Data 8GB SDHC class six. Price tag might be on the higher side for a USB two. card reader, compared to the ones sold on "un-named vendor", but considering that it functions perfectly, I really shouldn't complain about that. Oh, the other thing is because of the shape, it gets "hit" if i eject the CDROM which is subsequent to my USB port on a Dell D610, but i can use the USB ports located in the back to avert it.

Does specifically what its created to do. All I'm utilizing it for is xD. none It transfers at 4MB/sec which is a small slow I guess but it's listed on the package saying that it will max out at four MB so at least they don't lie.One way to think of this is that its about three.five minutes to transfer 1GB at that speed (thats how extended it took me) and that isn't the finish of the world for a ű item.

It worked as promised ideal from the start off. Used it for an olympus camera with an olympus 1 gb xd card. Also have a Kingston 2gb card and it works flawlessly there also. Even though I don't use sony products, I was in a position to aid a friend who had pics on his sony ms card. Once more, worked, but see cons. With the memory stick, it's a bit tricky to get it to perform. The card has to be placed upside down, in other words the make contact with points are on the best side of the reader, instead of the bottom side for other cards. And the contact points are all the way deep inside the reader. The 1st time you use it you have to slide it in and out gently a handful of times to find the ideal gooves. The ms card has to be placed so far into the reader that you can only pull it out once more with the ideas of your fingernails. The other forms of cards stick out about a 1ǚ inch so they are easy to take away. Not so with ms cards, you have only a tiny sliver of card to grab onto to take away it. But if you push it in a small far more, it will go, as occurred to me the second time I utilized it. Then I could not get it out simply because the card was flush with the reader, nothing to grab onto. I had to discover some tweezers to reach inside and grab the card. If you plan to use any format other than ms, but nonetheless want the flexibility to occasionally us ms, this is your card reader! I have not tried sdhc however, and the packaging says nothing about it's compatibility, but the specs page on newegg says yes, as do some preceding reviewers who have tried it so I'm confident it would perform.

Works as designed. I bought this solely to read xD cards and most of my other card readers support every little thing but xD. Actually can't ask for a lot more.Effortless to open package. Awkward shape, ugly green color, and cap is straightforward to shed.

Tends to make things way additional handy for me. Rapid digital camera transfers and can double as a flash drive when I need to speedily transfer a 1-2gb file between two computer systems. Handles a number of media types. Sort of a weird shape and ugly...

I use this with a SD card for photography. It can upload my JPG photos at 9.6mp/s. I compared it to my point & shut, which uploads at .6mp/s. With about 100 photos, it's the difference between 1 minute and 15 minutes. It would have been good if it supported CF, but it works good for the media it can support It works on Windows 7, Mac 10.6, and Linux

Functions on windows and linux appropriate out of the box. Worked with 8GB micro-SDHC and 1GB standard SD with no issues. Low-cost (price). No cover for the card reader side, but the plastic casing should defend it ok, except from tiny things. (There is a cover for the USB side.) Inexpensive (craftsmanship), but not too inexpensive. A bit large, but actually not too. ::thumbsup::

XD memory and the digital picture frame are why i purchased this, but considering that i copy from XD to pc then to flash, it works out just fine.
