So far so good! We have been using this card in a windows 2000 Pro system for about 2 weeks now. We communicate with CNC machines in our shop via serial ports and this card has been working just fine. No problems with installation or drivers on the install CD. (However, I was unable to locate newer drivers on the net and you need to make sure you get the correct drivers off of the CD. The CD looks like it has drivers for allof their porducts on it)

I bought the 2 and 4 port versions of this card and they work great! I installed the 4 port on in my Ubuntu running computer and they work great. The 2 port work great in my 98SE machine too. Don't think i've not got new computers, these are just in my robots.

Having already bought the 2-port version and experiencing no problems whatsoever, I ignored the negative reviews for the 4-port version and bought it. I'm sorry I did. I've tried two seperate computers, both end up freezing with this card installed. Time to look elsewhere.

Just installed in my SuSE SLES 10 server, the first three ports work, 4th is bad. I swapped internal cables and it is not a ribbon cable it is the solder joint on the card. Not Cablesunlimited does not support their products unless distributed directly. I'm back to the store for a swap. :( Oh and SLES should handle (8) serial ports, note only my default and (3) of four on card are seen. ls -l ttyS* crw-rw---- 1 root uucp 4, 64 Feb 27 13:56 ttyS0 crw-rw---- 1 root uucp 4, 65 Feb 27 13:56 ttyS1 crw-rw---- 1 root uucp 4, 66 Feb 27 13:57 ttyS2 crw-rw---- 1 root uucp 4, 67 Feb 27 13:57 ttyS3 crw------- 1 root uucp 4, 68 Jun 16 2006 ttyS4 crw------- 1 root uucp 4, 69 Jun 16 2006 ttyS5 crw------- 1 root uucp 4, 70 Jun 16 2006 ttyS6 crw------- 1 root uucp 4, 71 Jun 16 2006 ttyS7

I have the 4 port serial card and it works just fine on Win XP Home. I had to remove my winmodem card(which I wasn't using) for the PC to recognize the card though.
