Cons: Came loaded with a bunch of useless programs, needed to remove. The touchpad is going to take a bit to get used to.

Pros: Lighter than I expected for 15.6 screen size.Absolutely no keyboard mushy-ness

Im really happy so far (1 day in). I was going to "go mac" with my next laptop, but I have always used PC's and enjoy the windows platform better. This laptop has a nice aluminum lining around the keys which gives it a bit more durability. The outside is plastic, but seems to be good quality.

Comment:
I've had this laptop for a few days, so I figured I would leave some initial impressions. Firstly, the fit and finish is excellent, with not loose parts, no mushy keyboard, etc. The laptop performs very well for some moderate gaming. I was able to run Left 4 Dead 2 on medium high settings at a constant 60FPS with v-sync on (limits framerate to your screens refresh rate). I am sure with vsync off, it would be even higher. As stated previously, the parts are all top notch, and ASUS really nailed the cooling inside. The CPU gets to about 68C under 100% load on all cores, which is not bad at all (some Macbooks are known to get to about 90C)The only con I can think of is the screen. It's fine for movies and video games, but just looking at the desktop, you will notice there are some vertical lines that look sort of like scan lines on older TVs. I don't attribute this to poor LCD quality, I attribute it to the low pixel density. The screen is quite large (15.6"), so 1366x768 isn't going to look amazing. If this laptop game with a 1920x1080 screen, I would give it 5/5!Highly recommended.

Overall this Laptop was worth it, I spent month finding a right laptop for me and in my price range, this fitted all my criteria.I played SC2 on High and NFS:HP on Medium/High and both played very well.Things I felt that could have been improved are, the charger port is in the middle of the left side, should have been near the end so it does cover the air vent which gets pretty hot, they should have at least put a usb 3 port Also the drives are a bit messed up if you uninstall the crap games the fn keys stop working so you need to install them yourself, and for some reason hibernate and sleep function don't work properly, goes into hibernate but doesn't turn back on
