Cons: None, except cost

Pros: Great colour and contrast
Comment:
I now own four of these, one for home and three for the office. Very happy with all of them. No problems with patchiness

Cons: Screen is can't display homogenous colour evenly, particularly on white. Display does not appear to have any anti-reflective coating. Background reflections are a big distraction. Poor manufacturing practices produce inconsistencies in the product. (I’m on my third replacement)

Pros: Very sharp & bright screen. Lots of connectivity options. Colours are fairly accurate after calibration.
Comment:
I work in both IT and Web Design with a heavy background in digital imaging. I use the monitor mainly for the design work and the occasional remote desktop and short scripts among other everyday needs. The IPS panel is very punchy and bright. The whites are clean (not muddy looking) but very patchy (even after burn in). No other problems with the rest of the RGB or CYMK spectrum (a little light bleed on black but not major). My first display had a burnt pixel so I didn’t go any further with calibration and sent it back. The second display had a pronounced colour shift from a cool white to warm white moving left to 3/4 right. The shift was noticeable before and much more after calibration. The third replacement had the same colour shift problem but it gradually appeared over a 60 day period and starts almost at 1/2 left to right point. Very disappointing… I can only speculate that this is an inherent problem. For the average consumer, thought a little on the high side for price, its still a step up from what’s found in most stores. For professional use, “you get what you pay for”. There is no such thing as a “good value” without strings anymore. Take a look at LaCie, NEC or Ezio for serious work.

Cons: USB ports are almost unusable because of their placement, poor calibration out of the box.

Pros: Colour accuracy after calibration, response time for gaming, no noticeable ghosting, lots of ports, good build quality and great stand.
Comment:
I bought this monitor for photo editing and gaming. Colour accuracy and contrast is great after a bit of calibration. I recommend lowering the brightness of the screen as well. There is no noticeable ghosting in movies or gaming. I also don't notice any response time lag and I play MW2 and Battlefield. I don't know if this monitor justifies the price though. TN panels are getting better and better each year and some of the differences are really minimal. I would still recommend this monitor for people who look for great colour accuracy.

Cons: Needs a Calibration.

Pros: Rich ColorMinimal Input LagIPS
Comment:
Coming from the old Samsung 215TW which was great for me a few years back. This monitor has a much broader contrast, the colors "pop" and there is definatly alot less input lag.Great for the Photo Editing i do as a hobby, and i have had 0 issues thus far with Gaming.I had an issue with a 2-3 dead pixels side by side on the first monitor i recieved, but ExpressRMA had that covered, and i have 0 issues with the new one.If you have the money, and want to invest in a great monitor, i highly suggest this model. Afterall, if you have a great computer system why would you cheap out on the monitor?

Cons: kinda expansive but you get what you paid for.

Pros: very very vibrant colors and no color shift...very very easy on the eye. easy to configure and very very well built. easy menu. and all the cables you need in the package.
Comment:
i have a acer243w beside it and i can clearly see the difference between the two. a tn panel feels washed out compare to this ips panel. this is probably the best panel ive used in my life. it is easy on the eye like a big screen ips television.

Cons: Wide gamutslight RTC overshootSpotty quality control (somewhat redeemed by the world-class customer support of the HP business warranty)

Pros: Absolute best color accuracy.Low input lag.large viewing angles.Wide color gamut.excellent warranty and on-site support. excellent build quality.
Comment:
As a diehard CRT believer, I was never satisfied with TN LCD technology and waited for a monitor that could make an upgrade worthwhile for this gamer and multimedia junkie. That is, until I acknowledged the lp2475w as the long-awaited multimedia paradise. The HP lp2475w is not only head and shoulders above CRT and TN in terms of picture quality and color accuracy, it boasts low input lag comparable with many "gaming" monitors. At this price point, this constitutes an unprecedented achievement. While this monitor would fit the professional digital artist's needs like a glove, for the average user, it comes with train-sized caveats. The wide gamut means that this monitor will project wildly inaccurate colors in normal situations. Reds and greens will be so saturated and bright as to burn your retina. This monitor will therefore require some calibration to bring the colors back under control and into sRGB specification. If you know what you are getting into (there is some lengthy discussion over at the [H]ard forums within the two-hundred page thread on this very monitor) and willing to take some time and money to harness this wild beast, you will experience a level of picture quality that few humans have so far witnessed.
