Pretty average quality RAM from Kingston, you get reasonable bang for your buck when purchasing it. Two kits come in under a hundred bucks even with shipping, bit less if you wait for a sale, and sixteen gigs is plenty for a gaming rig.Normal sized heat spreaders are always welcome. My new system has an aftermarket heatsink and fan installed which would have prevented the installation of RAM with tall heat spreaders.This RAM does not overclock very well so if this is your thing then I'd recommend shopping around for some different RAM modules. I've had excellent results with the low voltage RAM from Kingston when overclocking but you can read that review seperately on the appropriate product.I ended up using different modules in my system, the aforementioned low voltage ones, but I had no problems with these modules and would buy them again if I wasn't overclocking.

Timings are really slightly tighter than talked about on Kingstons site. They say 9-ten-9-27, but when I went to set the timings myself, they were defaulted to ten-ten-10-24. I set it down to 9-9-9-24 and they've been operating smooth as silk given that then at individuals speeds. None hence far. It's rare that I get a component these days that you just pop in and it runs like a champ straight from the start, and this is precisely what I got with the Kingston hyper x grey series. The QVL for the Formula IV is notoriously incorrect when it comes to RAM, and several RAM makers have even come out and said "We don't set the QVL, the Mobo mfg's do so if it's incorrect it's not our fault." Well following various troubles with distinct Corsair RAMs, I seen that Kingston had the most compatible sticks for Asus bar none, so I ordered these and was not disappointed at all.They ran ideal straight from the commence, defaulted to 1333. I went into bios, tightened the timings and manually set the frequency and voltage, and all 8 gigs have run flawlessly, and very quickly, since then.Very best RAM for Crosshair IV Formula in my opinion.

The week I bought this ram, it was the only ram on sale that didn't have those ridiculous fins that stick up above the stick (Which keeps you from using some of the larger CPU coolers). Seriously, if your ram runs that hot, get a fan to blow air over it. Those fins, which are usually painted with a non heat conductive paint, do jack all.

Pretty stable ram at 9-9-9-24 with 1.65v at 1600mhz.... There genuinely isn't significantly to say, it does what it is suppose to and it is pretty fast.Specially if you overclock your nb at 3000 and ht at 2600 (not all mobos are stable with these settings) Most mobos will set it according to the factory spd... so most likely you will have to manually set it to 1600mhz and adjust the voltage accordingly...works nicely with my crosshair IV formula these and the Gskill are my current preferred
