Price tag is great for 4gbs of RAM. Works excellent with Vista 64bit and ran fine for awhile. Gave it 4 out of five since of heating difficulties I had with it. Like I mentioned above. My case ran a bit warmer due to the fact it's been in the higher 90s here. One particular of the modules ran hotter than other and failed on me. I've been making use of Kingston HyperX for awhile and appreciate the RAM. I identified the 1GB sticks held up to the heat a small greater. Great get, make confident you have excellent cooling.

None so far! "Kingston HyperX 4GB ƒ x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory" "KHX6400D2K2ǚG" The issue with that statement is, The memory is seriously 667MHz not 800MHz. But you don't locate that out in till you plug it in and see it go by in the post!! If the freaking memory is 667MHz it really should say so on the package and in the NewEgg discerption. But even on the Kingston web-page it states it's 800MHz.. You get in touch with Kingston and they ask you what the problem is in broken english. You inform the guy you have a set of KHX6400D2K2ǚG's and it's only running at 667MHz he ask's you what motherboard you have, I say Ausu P5N-E SLI he say properly you motherboard need to see all 4Gig's what OS are you running!! So you have to begin all more than again or ask for some 1 that understands American!! Right after the 3rd guy, I was told properly it's displaying 667MHz since that's what it is!! I say Kingston shows it as, and listeds it as 800MHz, it says 800MHz appropriate on the sticker on the box. Every add says 800MHz.. Other Thoughts? If it's actually 667 and you say it's 800, I believe your braking federal law.. Oh and yes I am going to make a major deal out of it!!

Kingston, nice looking heat spreader, overclocks effectively. Didn't come with a cost-free toaster. This memory is worth the extra couple of dollars over the less costly brands offered on newegg.

I have had this ram for about three weeks know. Keeps good and cool. For some cause i have vista 32bit but i nevertheless get the complete 4 gigs of ram with these but not my old ones. ( vista 32bit commonly can only have 3.5gs) Really runs at 667mhz but i oc'ed them to 800mhz. I don't know why i get the 4 gigs of ram when i have vista 32bit.

I purchased 8GB to run on Vista x64 utilizing an ASUS P5K Deluxe motherboard. All the memory was successfuly recognized by the method and the method was operating at a blazing quickly speed till the motherboard burned. My guess is the MOBO was defective. The memory themselves are good. None. System config: Intel Q6700 two.66 GHz Quad, 8GB Kingston RAM, Vista x64, Hitachi Tough Drives: x2 360GB, x2 250GB, Maxtor Really hard Drives: x2 160GB all six operating on a RAID .MOBO: P5K DeluxeVideo: 512MB PCI Express powered by ATI.

Good memory. Beleive it or not, my computer system seems twice as fast and tests much greater than it did with the identical quantity of DDR2 Patriot brand memory. Double the expense of the low cost stuff... But double the quality also. Its worth it if you can lay down the cash.

Excellent overclocker! pushed it to 951mhz no difficulties and no voltage modification. no errors none.....so far Will run at 667 out of the box. This is a safety feature so make certain you adjust it in bios. These knocking this memory result in of that will need to make positive they know what they are talking about before taking eggs off.

- Arrived totally operational.- Low maintenance install. Motherboard (P5N-E SLI) picked them up and dindt complain.- operating at the advertized 800 MHz without having getting to tweak any settings. None Originally had four 1 GB HyperX sticks in the machine and it ran fine. Upgraded to G.Talent Ɣ x 2GB Sticks) and the board didnt like them no matter how I attempted. Turned out they had been Single channel. RMA's these (great help by the way, quick and polite). Put four Kingstons in the Mobo and have been humming away fine, with out having to tweak anything.

Good dual channel memory. Operates fine with my XP and Vista.I'm content with it. Nowadays even though I'm writing the price is twice as more affordable than when I purchased it. XP sees only 3,25 GB, Vista sees all four GB. acceptable

Worked out of the box. Steady. Tested with default settings for 12 hours with Memtest - Passed without the need of any errors. Default timings are higher. Unlike other reviewers, my motherboard (Asus P5K) picked this up as 800 Mhz correct out of the box. The RAM defaulted to 6-6-6-18 @ 1.8V. Haven't tired overclocking it, but it's stable and running at defaults. four Stars because of slow default timings. Will be attempting to set it to five-five-five-15 @ 2V

Yet another homerun from Kingston. I've been employing their kits for the previous 5 years and no complications but. I overclock an E6320 1.86ghz conroe to 2.66ghz stable. I have my RAM speed set to automanage in my P5K Deluxe's BIOS and it has moved with the FSB devoid of fail. Ideal now, its running at DDR-721. Underclocked but accurate. I guess i can manually override it but am fine with the auto management. My 64bit apps in 64bit Vista ROAR. Value went up ์ smackers considering that I purchased the kit early this month. Be sure to place these into your mobo so that they run dual channel. I mistakenly put these in single channel and could barely overclock until I figured out the RAM single channel was the issue.

It works! Quite blue heatsinks. I've been buying Kingston RAM for a handful of years now, and regardless of pals attempting to get me to switch to Mushkin and Corsair, I'm the kinda person who sticks with what *I* know performs. These sticks *do* perform. What much more can I ask? No great combo deals for this memory! But so be it. At this value, 1 can not complain as well considerably. I typically like Kingston HyperX memory. My pc is nonetheless down simply because of the bios on the motherboard. Beware the nitpickey nature of the mail in rebate. I sent the invoice that Newegg emailed to me and my rebate was rejected. When I referred to as the representative, he explained obtaining any e-mail info on the invoice invalidated it. I had to log into Newegg and print the same invoice from there. I could acquire from Kingston again, but it will be really some time.

Worked out of the box. Did not check its speed when it arrived. Now, a year later, I come across it is truly 667 (PC2 5300) RAM, not 800. Kinda miffed. When you get RAM, be certain to check it with a system like CPU-Z.

operates great in my asus p5b-deluxe,stable,quick,though I'm not an overclocker so I can't say something about that.kingston makes excellent ram,I generally use kingston or corsair in my systems. about the only con is parting with 300 dollars to get it. I wanted to replace the 2 gig in my method with this so think about the disappointment when it still only reads two gigs soon after I upgrade.Don't waste your dollars on this unless you have a 64-bit version of windows, simply because the 32 bit version,[which 98% of us have],can only read like two or 3 gigs max.But right after upgrading to vista ultimate I use this plus the two gigs I currently had,[exact similar ram,but only the 2 gig set],for a total of six gigs.It all runs good no troubles whatsoever and games run smooth.Be certain to read up on and download the microsoft hotfix KB929777 for vista prior to you stuff a bunch of ram in your program.

Quick and trusted so far. No issues. Scored a 5.9 on Vista's overall performance score for RAM. I have 4GB of the stuff, but will need to buy the 64-bit version of Vista so I can use much more than 3GB. Nothing so far. Not truly a con because the memory is nevertheless quickly, but it's misidentified in the BIOS, as has already been pointed out. I was in a position to adjust a handful of items, but some of the info is misidentified and labelled wrong in the BIOS.
