Cons: doesnt like to overclock at the 1066 mhz level
Pros: easy to install and set up. be sure your bios is up to date before installing for guaranteed stability Comment:
as long as you dont overclock the front side bus the 1066 mhz makes system pretty fast and stable. if you leave the memory at the install default of 800 mhz you then have a lot of breathing room for processor overclock . all in all a gtrat memory combo for starter game systems |

I had purchase an Asus P5K-E Wifi-AP motherboard. This board will take PC2-8500. I tried cheap PC2-8500 from other companies. I was getting blue screen, wireless drop outs, the system was not stable, and I had to run the memory at 800 Mhz intead of the 1066 that the motherboard was capable of at. I decided to try Kingston Hyper X ram. The difference was noticable right away. I have been running my computer now for two full weeks, I haven't seen a single blue screen. Also I don't know why I'd want to overclock this extreamly fast system anymore it fully load Windows XP in 45 seconds. A little update, I'm finaly getting that weakness fix, just bought 2 more Gb. Cons: -lots of BSODs- causes games to crash-did not work in slot 3 or 4 in Motherboard-Duel channel did not work

I bought my new computer with this Ram thought buying a cheaper RAM then the other pc2-8500. I could get away with no problems but that was not the case since I got this RAM I have had nothing but problems games crashing freezing BSOD's you name it. I tested my computer with other RAm and my computer runs perfect.Never buying another Kingston product |

Great ram at a great price. Known to be a reliable name in memory products. Timing is reasonable and can be compared to products of higher price. Heat spreaders add a nice touch. Great if you just want plug-and-play ram.
