good so far, switched from 2x1gb to 2x2gb and my Windows index went from five.five to 7.1 GTA4 plays a lot smoother and it loaded super quickly. Impressive!!! dropped 5$ right following I purchased it.

Heatsinks operate! I was possessing heat troubles running 4 sticks of RAM with the non-T1 version of this memory (see other thoughts section). The heatsinks on this memory keeps the RAM cool enough that it won't throw errors after 24 hours of MemTest86+. Works properly with 4 sticks at 1066ʅ-five-5-15 with 2.two volts. Doesn't overclock more than 1066 incredibly nicely. I guess 1066 DDR2 is currently overclocked (the spec goes up to 800) so this is kinda anticipated. The two.two volt requirement tends to make this memory run hotter than typical RAM so the heatsinks are needed. I have 4 2GB sticks installed (total of 8GB) and was obtaining MemTest86+ errors with the non-T1 version of this RAM (KHX8500D2K2ǚG) and ultimately narrowed it down to a heat problem (modules have been hot to the touch following a couple passes). To validate this, I place a fan on the memory and the MemTest86+ errors went away (modules slightly warm to the touch). When I installed this T1 version (with the enormous heatsinks) with no fan, nonetheless pass the MemTest86+ tests right after 24 hours! The modules are warm to the touch. As with any overclocked memory, you have to go into the BIOS to set the frequency to 1066 and the voltage to 2.two.

Decent! Runs effortlessly at 1066 and overclocks to 1280. --2.2Volts is certainly a con --Substantially darker that anticipated, it almost looks purple (Does not match other blue components)--Hottest operating ram I have ever had, have to be the two.2v Not as great as i expected:(

It functions They shorted me on the rebate. I purchased two sets and sent in all the stuff that was essential and they only paid 1ǘ the rebate(ษ). I wont be obtaining any longer Kingston memory. With all the other memory possibilities readily available it seems a bit counterproductive to be messing with peoples rebates. Oh properly- I'm carried out with Kingston.

i replaced the memory, which was the final element from my shelf purchased computer that was nevertheless acer (had acer stickers on them). the old ram was ddr2 5-5-5-15 at 667 3gb. now i dont know why but upon switching out the ram i went from utilizing about two.5 gigs to about three.15 gigs on windows 7 home premium 64 bit. either way in about two and a half weeks ill Probably be ordering one more kit to make 8 gigs total in my machine.im in really like with this memory. i purchased it in conjunction with a 1tb wd caviar blue, and the mixture of these two issues (using new hdd as game/storage drive) has Genuinely sped up my game load occasions. could have been more affordable imo with the ever decreasing costs of ddr3 but eh. im not confident if its cpu or gpu or what but wow nonetheless only runs on average 25-35 frames. i had a xfx 5850 725񲿘 and a phenom ii x4 955 black edition, this ram, and a new hdd which i solely put my games on. given i have wow on ultra, it need to nevertheless be a bit more rapidly thinking about the hardware and that wows final expansion is a couple years old. ahh well heres to hoping cata will alter it to make wow better optimized with todays hardware

Good enhance over 1333 mhz ram. runs steady following altering settings in bios- Essential has nice directions on how to do thatNew EGG rocks had it to me incredibly rapidly and is always valuable with any concerns I may have none

nice blue appear very good purchased four piece 1 stick doa. I cant get these to perform in advertised spec, manually set it in bios method boot but goes into safe mode tells me to adjust setting back. Have to settle at 800 mhz my first kingston product what an encounter

I've had this memory for a little over a year now and it functions excellent, set to 1066 MHz with no changing the timings and with out any issues. Runs cool. I want I had bought 8GB initially rather of getting the first 4GB at ์ and the second at ๥ (on sale from ๯). Man how higher DDR2 prices have come considering that that sweet spot. To the guy who wrote that it bench-marked at 400 MHz, your not giving this memory a fair review and your post need to be removed. It comes default at 800 MHz, which would appear in your benchmark as 400 MHz since it's dual channel 鷐 x 2 = 800). To set it to the advertised 1066 MHz vs the default 800 MHz needs quite small tweaking in the BIOS.

Looks quite 1 stick was DOA. Kingstons RMA method ships out a new pair when they obtain the old ones. I may well just RMA back to Newegg and get some thing else. I have only had this memory for a couple of hours at this point.Not a good begin. You gotta wonder about a company that lets such a straightforward item that is supposed to be higher end get shipped DOA.

Good blue head-sinks, with weight on em, and tough. I have been gaming for about a month with my new create and this ram and it do what it does greatest. Will most def purchase one more 4 gig kit to match my 1st one particular. This is not a con, but for these of you who have these huge cpu coolers... it's not for you. Yet another issue that I'm tired of reading review about this ram only clocks at 400 mhz or 800 mhz. Individuals, if your mobo supports 1066 it will do it. Just because it it doesn't say it proper in front of you, doesn't imply that it doesn't do it. If you want to, just transform the tras timing to 15 from 18 and you will be good to go. Study up on DDR and you'll see what I'm speaking about.

Slight overclock to 1092Mhz with five-5-five-15Ǚ-22-5-eight timings and two.25 volts. Running on an EVGA 680i board with an e8400 overclocked to 3.83Ghz. These are taller than Corsair Dominators. These replaced two X 1GB Corsair Dominator PC2-8500s operating at 1133Mhz with 5-five-five-15ǚ-24-5-9 timings. They took my Windows Expertise memory score (Windows 7 - 64-bit) from five.9 to 7.two. Everest memory scores enhanced as effectively. CPU Photoworxx went from 12K to 15K.

It looked excellent, thats it. Purchaser beware!The specs on this ram are not as advertised (per Kingston tech help). I Could not get this ram to work @ 1066 - even with manually getting into 5-five-five-15. Immediately after seeing some other reviewers that could get them to operate @ 800, I was only capable to get it to boot once. Kingston tech support mentioned that this ram was "created for 800mhz systems that want to overclock to 1066" (not native 1066). When I informed him that the package says PC2-8500 񡺪), he stated that IS NOT Correct - they are only 800.I send back for RMA.Needless to say, I won't be buying from Kingston once more. If they can't package it correct or personal up to it - I'll purchase from a person else!

1 pair worked flawlessly. 1 pair wouldn't POST. Replacement pair won't run at advertised speed of 1066MHz. I fully grasp that they are really just 800MHz chip "certified" to run at 1066MHz & Kingston can't test all motherboards. Was genuinely hoping that Kingston high quality would insure that these would run as advertised and not on the ragged edge were they may or could not function. Got memory running steady at 1000MHz which aint half terrible. Expected a lot more from Kingston. The four Gb of Corsair memory these replaced were flawless.

Extremely solid memory, does not really feel affordable at all.Stable and functions as advertised. Fairly tall simply because of the heat sinks.Stock is set to 400Mhz, so OC it in BIOS.-1 egg for the lack of guidelines on kingstons part, if you are selling it as 1066 then at least inform us how to make it since it isn't. I have read a lot of testimonials for this memory and it is fairly split. You either OC it in BIOS and have no concerns, or you attempt to OC it and it's unstable.For me, my ASUS M3N72-D mobo accepted 4GB of it just fine.I was able to set it to five-5-5-18 and 2.155V for 1066Mhz and confirmed its stability with Prime95 stress test. Not certain how hot it gets though.
