- Good cost.- 4gb kit- 1333mhz- ECC- Operates completely with X8SIL-F motherboard. I want there was lower voltage ECC DDR3 RAM, but what can you do. Kingston in no way disappoints. They're now pricing appropriately as effectively.

ECC but unbuffered, a excellent middle ground amongst reliability and latency efficiency. Being only 2G/stick it's a nice fit with an asus kgpe-d16 which has 16 sockets. Could usually be less costly. Back to get a lot more.

Functions wonderful with my Supermicro X8SIL-F-O motherboard and is significantly cheaper than the other alternatives. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813182211 None so far. Ran into an situation with the X8SIL-F-O motherboard touching the chassis (solder underneath) which was causing the bottom two dimm slots to not recognize the RAM. Resolved this and now all 8GB's of the Kingston RAM show up. Good stuff!

ECC, affordable, low profile (good for modest cases) Doesn't look "cool" (if you care about that) ECC eliminates one doable supply of computer system crashes and doesn't expense significantly. Of course, make sure your motherboard supports it.

Just what I was expecting. I got 8 sticks and there we no failures. Board booted very first time and memory test came out excellent. System running four virtual systems without a problem with KVM on CentOS. none. I even like the price drop in the last handful of weeks. Kingston is a organization that I have come to trust for making great memory that will not have complications.

ECC is all about stability and is basically purchasing insurance against memory corruption.Haven't had any memory concerns with these. far more high priced than standard ྐྵ% far more) My friend was unable to boot his new method employing two other brands of memory, but was able to use these sticks. All were DDR3 at 1333.Installed in ASUS M4A87TD EVO AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/sMost Asus motherboards assistance ECC, check their web site for details.

Great, reliable memory. ECC is a need to for reliable business machines. This works beautifully on my Asus M4A785TD-V EVO motherboard with AMD Athlon II X4 635 processor and Windows 7 Pro. No cons I use ECC memory in all my computers, and have taken to building my own simply because I just can't get what I want from the majors, i.e., high quality components, clean install without bloatware, and reliability. NewEgg is my 1-cease shop for my components.

Price. I know that some people today will see the price as a con but when dealing with ECC memory, you are GOING to pay additional. Presently the 2 GB ECC unbuffered modules are the greatest value. Kingston makes a great value memory module. three of my media servers run different speeds and varieties of Kingston value ram. This works in quad channel mode in my G34 Socket board (Supermicro MBD-H8SGL-F-O (newegg item #N82E16813182230)) None actually. I wish four GB modules had been less expensive but right now they are entirely too high priced. The major reason i went with the G34 socket was the quad channel ram, which indirectly led to having 8 memory modules on a single socket board. For OpenSolaris (and ZFS ) The a lot more memory, the better. At present, 4 GB unbuffered ECC memory costs 400+ per module....this is just entirely too expense restrictive.
