really excellent ram for an older machine. the desktop that needed them is operating a lot much better Only problem becoming that the ram was extremely little making it a tiny harder to place in. other than that, absolutely nothing at all. Good overall performance upgrade. I had a 5 year old Dell Pentium 4 computer system that was bogged down. I had lost track on how significantly RAM it had. Soon after reviewing the laptop, I realized I was only operating 512 MB. The two GB upgrade was easy and worth every penny. None. New Egg shipped very quickly and I would propose acquiring from them. Good more memory for an older DELL computer system. When a single of the original RAMs died, I went for 2GB upgrade at that time. Dell machine didn't want to POST right after installing the ram. Removed it and reseated it and all was fine. Not a con against Kingston.. Dell just requirements to make superior items. Can't beat Kingston for quality solutions for affordable prices. |

My Sister-in law's laptop is a five year old DELL 8400 with 3. GHz P4, 160 GB Seagate hd and 1 GB of RAM. The hd started to die with physical errors so a mini upgrade was in order. I replaced the hd with a Seagate 320 GB hd and this RAM kit. This RAM is operating completely with the Dell (Samsung) 1 GB RAM ƒ-512 sticks) NONE!!! Installed Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate. Everything performs Great!!! Speedy for what it does.Her method:Dell 8400Dell/Intel 925X chipet mbP4 3. GHz PrescottSeagate SATA 320 hd 16mb cache3 GB of RAM (This kit + the two Dell samsung 512's)ATI PCI-E X300 DVI video card 128 mb (Not for gaming, but she doesn't do that) More than sufficient for her Dell 17" Digital LCD.2 DVD IDE drives - 1 reader, 1 reader/writer Dell PSU - Still working. If it's not broke, don't repair it.Dell clam shell case - Yuk!!! but it functions.Hopefully it will final three+ a lot more years. |

I dropped this pair of Kingston DDR2 1 gig memory sticks into my GX280 SFF laptop or computer, and it worked really nicely. Just take a little additional care with these half-height sticks than your usually handled memory and make sure you get them seated nicely, and you're in business. None. Dinner's right here and I'm ready for some spaghetti! |
