It has a lot of features for such a small item. And thats part of the problem. It is so small its hard to keep it standing upright with the supplied stand. very minor flaw. A lil more than I wanted to pay for it. It performs beautifully, in pc mode. Performs like it doesnt exist picture quality is retained. In TV mode well for analog it does very well but I recommend the RCA Y pb PBr connections for your best picture quality through this product. While it wont work in PIP mode while in PC mode. minor flaw. It does provide a hd hookup and it is noticeable. I sometimes hear some crackling while in pc mode from this item thru the tiny speaker. Not sure why. but only noticeable when its really quiet in the room. minor flaw Design could have been a bit better and true hd would have been nice. It wouldnt hurt to build this item a bit bigger for all the connections to fit nicely and be reached without fuss.minor flaw

I realize it has been more than a couple years since I bought a KWorld product. But the equipment didn't work right and I made more than a dozen attempts to get some support from this company with no response at all.

I wanted a second device for a new LCD Monitor and when I purchased the same brand and model, I recieved less equipment with it. It came missing a S-Video Cable adapter as well as a VGA Adapter. Doesn't state that it is an optional or additional item so WTF. Over all the device works for what I need it to do, so no complaints there. Just wished I had all the cables to do future connections.

great product! easy way to convert an extra lcd monitor into a tv. easy to use, great picture quality. only negative is the sound is weak and tinny but what do you expect from such a small box (which is another plus)? you probably want to use external speakers with this unless you are in a small room.

For the average consumer (like myself), I thought the product was decent for its worth. The product looks great - sleek, small, simple. For the most part, the features are standard and basic. However, I haven't tried all the features - just anything that's non-HD. I don't know how it'll turn out in HD, but if the non-HD setting is any clue, it probably won't turn out great. I'm not good at fine tuning settings to make pictures look their best, so unless you are one or know someone who's good at that kind of stuff, you're gonna be stuck with some low-quality display. If you're not too concern with that, then the product does well what it's suppose to do.

This product is just ok. If you can spend a bit more money you can get a much better product. This product is advertized by Kworld as HD capable but after you buy the TV Tuner and read the instruction manual, you're told it is not capable of HD. The product is ok if you have a top of the line monitor and want to watch TV but if you have anything less than a top of the line monitor the picture quality is pretty bad. The sound is pretty bad also. You'll need a quality set of speakers to get ok sound. This product is too expensive for what you are getting. This is definitely a last resort product.

after trying to get 2 signals from a pc, and from a bnc security camera sytem to combine into a picture in picture display to 2 seperate tv's on different floors so far this device was the only one that put out enough signal to display the split feed to both at the same time 200 feet away without needing to amplify the signal and with text still able to be read by anyone looking at either display. the main drawback with the remote is you will hit the buttons, and it will have a 5 second delayed reaction before it will do what you pressed. and the unit will run a little hot. otherwise a great buy if you know what you are doing with it.

Works excellent.. I have only used the Composite video input (RCA). Exactly what I was looking for. I am now able to use my old monitor as a TV. You must use a good speaker. This things sound quality is not as good.

Cons: - The remote control has a unconventional layout- The stand is a bit shaky

Pros: - You can use your computer screen as TV- You can hook up your gaming console or a DVD player- You can control the volume of your PC apps with the remote control- External
Comment:
I'm quite impressed with this little TV tuner. It's external so it doesn't take up any of your computer's slots and I thought the hook-up was quite intuitive, although I agree that there are a lot of cables. I tried the antenna TV reception and it works but the problem is that my local area has a crappy signal. The cable signal is crystal clear though. Even though I don't subscribe to cable TV, I have an cable internet and they apparently provide some several free TV channels, which I didn't know. Cool... :)The stand is kind of crappy and cheap, although if you don't touch it, it should be OK. The biggest problem is the remote. It has a 4x2+2 number layout, instead of the usual 3x3+1, so it's hard to punch the correct numbers without looking. The signal it sends is kind of weak too. You have to aim it precisely at the unit and no more than 12 feet to get a response. But these are kind of minor annoyances. One cool thing is that you can control the volume of your PC with the remote, which is very useful. It also contains a "wall of channels" feature and a picture-in-picture, which is also fun. The included resolutions are OK for me, because I use regular computer screens, but if you use non-standard resolution, you might have a problem. There's even a simple game included in the system's ROM. This review was modfied by poster @ 11-07-08 06:06 PM

The TV BOX does the job - image quality looks fine to me. The sound is tinny and low-fidelity (what do you expect from a tiny box like this?). The box isn't built to industrial-strength standards (one of the little buttons broke while my wife was using it a day or two after it arrived). However, it isn't difficult to use and seems to work quite well.

Cons: -Tricky to set up (lots of cables).

Pros: -Operates flawlessly.-You get a TV remote.-Allows you to easily switch from your PC to whatever you were doing with the box (watching TV, playing games) and vice versa.-Small, doesn't take too much space.
Comment:
Note: I didn't test the TV channels, since I lack the connection. I bought this to plug my video game consoles to my monitor.Seems to work well for the moment. It was tricky to set up because of the amount of cables. I can pause my game and switch to my computer if I need to, no problems. For testing purposes I hooked up my GameCube and started playing a few games. Didn't notice anything unusual. To make it simple, it works, it's all that matters.

If you keep your regular monitor routed through the tuner box as your normal setup, you will notice a decided drop in quality while using your PC. I run my monitor at 1680x1050 and text is noticeable fuzzy, colors are washed, and I have issues with ghosting. Watching TV/running game consoles through it is worse so while it does what it's advertised to do, and with lots of features, it doesn't provide the greatest quality in the world.

Heres the problem with a device like this. It's misleading. It says it supports 1080i, thats totally not correct. There is no component or HDMI input, you plug in component into an adapter, which then converts to S-Video which plugs into this box. Well do some research, you will be saddened to learn S-video ONLY goes up to 480i. So your 1080i signal goes into adapter which then downgrades into 480i S-video signal, which then goes to your monitor at a resized resolution. All this box does is resize the lowered resolution signal to fit your much larger LCD or CRT. Yes it does have alot of features and remote, but..... Do some research on S-video/component BEFORE you buy this, wiki pages help. I ended up buying another box WITH component input from another source, but Luckily tiger is the best with refunds, the staff is very good and helpful.

Pros: - does as advertised

I bought this as a way to get Picture-In-Picture on my 67" Samsung TV. I'm not using it like most people would. I've never had it hooked to an LCD. It is doing what I intended. My main problem with it is the weird resolutions it supports. Quality on composite input from my HD cable box is horrible. It's really only good with cable/antenna. So it's basically a cable box outputing non-standard resolutions. I would have loved it to support 1920x1080. If you change the computer to a resolution it doesn't support, it basically just turns off and passes the signal to the TV.I pretty well just use it when there are two football or hockey games I want to watch. I use my internal TV tuner if I just want to browse the web or play online poker and watch tv at the same time. There are probably better products out there. It sort of feels like there are too many little quarks with it. Remote is annoying. Supported resolutions are aweful. It reacts a bit slowly. I probably would have tried something else knowing how it works now.

I ran this right out of the box to a 17'' Dell CRT monitor with a rooftop broadcast antenna input and it gave good results. I had an older Techmedia 14'' CRT monitor that I connected to it later. I had to set the resolution at 800x600, the most that this older monitor can handle, but it worked even with this monitor also giving me TV reception to replace an old 19'' TV. Next, connecting a Samsung DTB-H260F Digital over the air tuner utilizing the YPbPr inputs from the Samsung to the Kworld and feeding a 17'' Sony Trinitron CRT monitor really showed off the capabilities of the Kworld. The picture is astounding and between the Kworld and Samsung tuner there is a wealth of adjustments. An excellent combination for OTA HDTV system that utilizes a monitor for a true component system.

I purchase this little box to use it in conjunction with an LDC display I had laying around. Setup is easy I can receive about 90 channels, Video quality is fine. If you use the built in speaker you will be disappointed. I connected an old set of computer speakers I had and it sounds awesome. It all depends in what you need. If you are planing to buy this box to use as a main your TV you will be disappointed. But as an extra TV in my home office is just fine

With the exception of S-video, lacks proper A/V connections. If you're looking for a tuner alternative for your old TV, and it doesn't have S-video, skip this one. Otherwise an excellent product, but because of that one flaw, I gave it a 2 on Features. @ Eric concerning his NTSC TV issue: The broadcasting format you're referring to is not true widescreen, but letterbox. You'll have no stretching on true widescreen broadcasts, such as on most HD channels.
