Sleek appear for a HTPC. This case goes properly with my receiver sitting proper subsequent to it. Every little thing in my develop fit ideal with room to spare. Excellent rubber feet on the bottom to prevent sliding on surface. Excellent create in my eyes. Fans genuinely aren't all that loud. My wife believed it looked good and she hates electronics ruining the appear of her decorations lol! Front "flap" appears quite fantastic, but seems like it is a little flimsy. Haven't had any difficulties, but appears like they could have created it on a stiffer hinge of some sort. Front LED is a tiny vibrant for my taste. Looks good underneath our television. Power button offers a nice clink. Front panel is simple to access. Fans hold a Core two Duo and an 8800 GT cool. Difficult to install certain points like the really hard drive and disk drive (if you are an idiot like me) Take a moment to look it over just before installing every little thing.

Nice strong construction. Fits completely in my media stand.. it truly appears like it belongs in a house theater set-up. Has adequate space for 8 harddrives (thought it was six till I saw the two under the five.25 bay) which is beautiful given that I have about 5 hundred dvds I'm loading onto this man machine! A lot of room to perform in even with complete atx board (asus m4a78td evo). Quiet... at times * The door opens with a good fluid motion and a nearly inaudible click when closed... appreciate it. * Two fans on back of case from time to time rattle. When the fans aren't rattling they're quite quiet. I double checked the tightness of all the screws etc. Also every single fan has it's own energy cord which takes up two slots on my mobo. The led is incredibly vibrant, mine isn't in the bedroom so it doesn't bother but a con for some. Front panel usb ports are off on the unit I received, plugging something into them is a huge pain. It's annoying sufficient that I would exchange it but I don't want to eat the shipping costs. Quite cool case that fits correct in with my set-up. The door has a concave form to it so I can't match any volume knob type drives in the bay. All round I'm content with this case and would obtain a different... hopefully if I do the usb ports won't suck as substantially as these do.

Good size. Lots of drive bays. Looks fancy. Has dual rear exhaust fans. Straightforward to install elements. Came with all needed components. Has power button outside of front lid...so doesn't support when you have a kid who likes to push buttons. A little tough to screw in the drive cages. The cons are also little a challenge to bring down rating of this case. It was well designed and if you have an entertainment center setup...this is an perfect computer case...

This is a good case if you want, as I did, an unfussy front panel in the media stack with no knobs or displays. It has sufficient room for a complete size ATX MB, except as other individuals have noted, you cannot use the center three.5" drive bays if you have a lengthy video card (ATI 5770). As I only wanted a single optical drive I mounted my single HD in the upper 5 3ǚ" bay working with an old set of 3.five" adaptor rails. Cooling seems to be adequate. I mounted the PSU upside down so that its fan would also exhaust. I remounted the two case fans supplied on rubber mounts for a beneficial reduction in noise level. The blanking plates that are attached to the bays rather than the panel are rather cheesy, and a nuisance if you want to mount one thing in the bay that does not want the front panel reduce out. Snap in plastic blanking plates would have been substantially nicer. The three.five" mounting bay on the left did not have the help tabs bent in, making installing a card reader much more dfficult than necessary. I am pleased with the final program. A built in IR receiver would have been a nice addition.

Looked just as nice in RL as it did in the images. I had no challenges installing the program and even swapped motherboards 5 instances when I first got it simply because I required to do some testing. This also permitted me to evaluate the instances capability to permit for swift and simple motherboard removal and installation. It is a incredibly sturdy case and also has excellent case feet. Regardless of it's little size in comparison to my complete towers it was straightforward to locate very good areas to route cables and achieve excellent air flow. *The fans that came with it are quiet and great enough to not need replacing. The power led could be dimmer, but it is not also large of a problem Good deal for the value, just what I needed. No challenges with shipping, Newegg got it sent suitable away!

--Lots of area--Strong building--Appears great --Heavy--Even heavier when stuff is inside it I'm really glad I got this. It looks like a receiver in my entertainment center. The construct was uncomplicated and I fit 4 hard drives, an optical + all the usual stuff with out a hassle. Cooling seems a small on the warm side but nothing to complain about. I would recommend this for these wanting to cram a lot of challenging-drives into (currently 4TB).

This case is very lovely on the outside. I was capable to match 8 three.5 drives inside and my optical while carrying out the raid construct and transferring my files over. It is incredibly sturdy with a prime help beam, and I don't be concerned about scratching or bending the case. I love it. It's pretty significantly the exact same size as a common case on it's side. The inside is the similar as any common case I have worked with, just has the cages sideways. There is no real cable management. The two rear fans demand 2 separate motherboard connections. The left side intake is blocked by the power supply. The drive cages have some awkwardly placed screws. Front black panels are connected by tooled screws (square not phillips). The side intakes collect dust, which is a very good thing, just recall to clean them frequently.I bought this case before getting my television stand. If I could go back I would plan it out greater: You really will need to understand where your vents are so the air is in a position to flow freely in your stand, exactly where the center of gravity is (left side for this one particular), what components of the case you need constant access also, and to bear in mind that the power/hdmi cables stick a excellent three-4 inches out the back if you plan to place it flush against a wall.

A strong case.- 2x External 5.25 ( Not many other instances have that )- 2x External 3.50 ( Almost no other situations have it )- 4x Internal 3.50- Has a front cover plate which actually reduces the sound of the drives a bit- Comes with a boat load of screws, stand offs, and so on - As other people have described, the front LEDs are a bit bright - but a couple of resisters and some heat wrap later you're excellent to go.- The video card can't be as well extended. In truth, it can't even be the complete length of the motherboard, devoid of going into the internal three.5 inch bays. I had to move my hardrives more than to the external three.5 inch bays to accommodate a slightly massive card.- Possibly my LG Blu-Ray player was a bit long, but it covered up the 24-pin connector on the motherboard. It was a bit of a discomfort to get it connected.- Incorporated case fans are a bit loud for a HTPC- These darn screws that safe the internal removable bays are a Discomfort to get in and out. You'd much better have a magnetic screwdriver or you'll be cussing the case out.- Manual was a bit unclear about going about setting up a raid configA lot of the components in the case overlap, and I ended up possessing to put them in in a specific order. Right here's how I would advise to put this issue collectively: 1) Take out the internal removable bays ( the ones you'll be working with, of course Ɯ) Place your drives in the bays. Place them aside.3) Pull out your motherboard, and stick to the incorporated directions to set up the CPU and Cooling.four) Replace the IO Shieldfive) Install the standoffs in the case.six) Install the motherboard onto the standoffs7) Put the removable drive bays back ineight) Connect the front panel headers9) Connect the SATA cables ( or IDE ) to your drivesten) Set up memory and other cards11) Set up energy supply12) Hook up the powerThis is a wonderful case! I employed it in the following HTPC develop:Silverstone LC13-BOCZ StealthXStream 600WGigabyte GA-EP45-UD3RIntel Core two Quad 9400 ( Q6600 was out of stock Ƣgb ( 4x2gb ) G.Skill PI Black DDR2 800 four-4-4-12 MemorySapphire HD Radeon 3870Hauppage 1800 MCE Tuner Card2x Western Digital Caviar 1TBLG Blu-Ray w/ Lightscribe

Aesthetically pleasing. Good (outer) design for a residence theater component. I've had a couple of Shuttles and I believed those were tight. With a huge video card in this 񤀀GT right here) you can pretty substantially overlook about making use of the middle three.five" bay. Coming from a Shuttle, I was expecting an less difficult create but it was really fairly a bit more challenging. I'd be significantly less vital of the obtainable space if I didn't have to sacrifice three hdd slots to use my video card. Afterall, I know it's a HTPC case so I really should expect items to be a small cramped.

Clean look with soft open front panel that hides Drives and audio/usb ports. Seems to be relatively well constructed. Supplied with two case fans that are comparatively quiet. The power provide place is opposite that of a common case. This may possibly be prevalent in HTPC situations, but considering that this is my initial HTPC make I confess to be a noob. The issue is with the attain to the four pin ATX energy connector on the motherboard. I have an ASUS M3N78-EM(micro ATX) Mobo and the connector is on the side nearer where you would commonly locate a power provide. Even though it is not a significant issue you may not be able to get every little thing up an running without having an extension cable, possibly delaying your develop by a few days. Acquire a 4 Pin ATX extension cable as I've described above just in case your eager to watch the Terminator tonight on Blu-ray by way of your new HTPC. There is possibility you may possibly not need it but just to be secure I would advocate it.

Seems really sturdy.Very good styling, I like the front cover.Front USB/Firewire connections are handy.Cooling seems adequate. The case is not deep adequate:If you have a complete length video card, the middle "bank" of 3.5 inch drive bays is usesless - something you put in there will run into the video card. The left bank of 3.five inch drive bays is too close to the energy supply generating it really hard to function with. The correct bank of 5.25 drives comes incredibly close to the energy connectors on my mother board and once again makes it tough to operate with.It also scratches simply. I was quite disappointed to see a quantity of scratches on it right after I was completed with installation. I purchased this case because I *wanted* a huge case with a lot of space for expansion. I was quite disappointed in how crowded it was on the inside. Other than this concern, I like the case a lot. 1-2 inches deeper and it would've gained a 5 egg rating from me. As is, I would not acquire once again or advise to any person.

Plenty of areaKeeps coolThe front cover hides DVD drive and so on so it's just one smooth black box.The front cover opens if you eject the DVD. Practically nothing really. The LEDs could be significantly less bright but it's not off-putting. It could be smaller sized for my purposes (ATX board and a couple drives). Makes my livingroom look considerably nicer! Completely worth it!

Match and finish of this case is incredibly great. Uncomplicated design with clean lines, just like I like it. Accommodates most gear just fine, with one particular exception that I will mention in the "cons". Precisely what I was seeking for to match with current elements. Beware, blue LED's are like lasers. I attempted other people ideas to dampen the intensity (adding layers of paper in between the LEDs and the front lens) and practically nothing toned it down sufficient. I in fact retrofitted the ones from my computer system which worked out significantly greater. I was employing an HP machine for the inner workings and it came with a nice bi-colour LED for the power switch. Light blue when on, yellow when in sleep mode. Turned out fine. Massive concern is the interference amongst the middle hard drive bay and video card. I managed to squeeze it in, but it's as well tight. I would have place it in the other three.5" bay, but I wanted to use a 92mm fan for cooling the HD and the bay will not accommodate each the fan and the 3.5" slot covers for the front. Little 80mm fans in back are noisy. The door on the front is "light", so opening and closing provides you a "cheap" impression. At this point, I'm quite pleased with my present "progress". I intend to replace all fans with quiet variable speed units to knock down the noise level (which is not objectionable, just needs to be quieter). I intend to add a different challenging drive to complete the package, but general I'm quite pleased. There are undoubtedly a lot much more high-priced units out there, but this one particular suited my specifications for clean lines, functionality, and style. I do wish all these suppliers would leave their Enormous logos off the front of the cases. Maybe I'm just also picky....

I applied this case to construct my 1st HTPC. The case is spacious and seems to be nicely thought out, the fans are not noisy and it looks like a piece of audio gear and not a Computer case. Simply scratched, really thin paint and the front panel doesn't want to stay shut.

Really good case. It seriously appears like a Stereo or Residence Theater center, not like a personal computer. Don't have IR built-in for remote. Make sure you measure your furnishings simply because is kinda massive. I was expecting a a lot more slim and no so deep case. It didn't match on my Media Table, but was my fault since I did not measure it prior to buying it... Anyway, I'm considering to buy one more table and preserve this nice case.
