Cons: -TN Panel

Pros: -Good monitor for the price-High resolution for a 23 incher
Comment:
Bought this for a friend's build. This is a very good monitor for the price. My friend is using this for gaming. I'm not really against TN panels. I just prefer the picture quality of IPS or PVA panels.

Cons: -Buzzing Sound when brightness not at max of 100-stand is not adjustable (at all)-odd native resolution-touch controls are inconvenient in the dark

Pros: -Price-Image quality & sharpness
Comment:
The biggest problem in my opinion is a very annoying buzzing sound when turned on and found out it only buzzes when the brightness is < 99. When you adjust the brightness to 100 the buzzing sounds goes away but at 100 the screen is blindly bright. It gets very annoying when you are trying to read an article online with that bzzzzzzzz sound in the background!!

Cons: Limited adjustments

Pros: High ResolutionGood color qualityThin frame
Comment:
Bought this monitor for my wife a month after I bought myself the LG 2343T-PF and I much prefer hers. There is little to no backlight bleed and the thin bezel gives it a very clean look. The extra pixels is a bonus. I haven't noticed any dead pixels. Some people don't like the touch buttons, but I find them a lot easier to use than the clunky power button on my 2343T-PF.

Cons: The power blue light does not need to be so bright, and the touch control buttons on the lower right are difficult to use.

Pros: Good value for the price. Sharp and bright and reliable.
Comment:
Have been using it for almost 3 months at 2048x1152,and so far very happy with it. Notice that the (sale)price has slowly gone up about $10 every month. Bought it with Express Coverage "zero pixel guarantee". Exchanged 2 times. First one - 1 red pixel stuck on. Second one - 3 white pixels stuck on. Settled for the third one for 1 white pixel stuck on. Could not really notice these dead pixels on normal use. Found them only using a dead pixel testing program and search carefully.

Pros: huge, clear, very atractive

i love this monitor, it looks so nice, and everything displayed on it looks great. Samsung has the best LCDs in the industry, and I would bet they will rule the LED screens in the future since they were the first to come out with one.

Cons: Stand only tilts backwards, not an issue if you have a flat desk.On my year 2006 LG Express Dual when on max speed mode there is a flickering of the monitor when I scroll down web pages. Im assuming the video card is struggling. Still not an issue, i would build a new system around this monitor!!

Pros: Bright, clear. Very crisp text. Im using it for day to day studying for medicine and the text is super clear for reading for longer periods of time.
Comment:
Very well done monitor. Glad I made the purchase. Had one stuck pixel so RMA and new monitor is flawless.Good for student who would like to do their work on the PC for many hours a day.Well done.Wish there was an HDMI port.

Pros: amazing picture quality

Beautiful picture quality. At high resolution, text is small but incredibly clear. Nice auto-focus feature.Buttons are touch sensitive and do not work if you are wearing gloves. The stand offers no tilting capabilities but is VESA mountable.

Got this two weeks ago and I'm thinking of getting two more of these to set up a 3 monitor display. It is a insane monitor which is great on gaming and graphic design. Anything from autocad, photoshop.. to any game theres out there. It does more then expected!

generally this is worth the money, got it for 170 and free shipping, pixel is kinda small but this is expected since the dimension and resolution r given, cable is replaced by a longer one since my tower is a bit far from my screen...recommended for economic buyers

Cons: Standard TN panel weaknesses. Nothing unexpected to report. One of the 2 monitors was missing the VGA cable, but I couldn't care less.

Pros: High resolution, good colors, very cheap. DVI and VGA cable included.
Comment:
I bought 2 of these for dual monitor setup, replacing 2 LG 22 inches. The 2 LGs were same model number, yet it was impossible to match the colors of the displays; they were very, very different. These Samsungs gave me a nearly identical image right out of the box. Both came with no stuck pixels. The 2048x1152 resolution is awesome in FSX, and is supported in all my other games. Surprisingly enough, my FPS did not drop  by much going from 1680x1050 to 2048x1152 on my old 8800 ultra. Very satisfied.

Cons: some games dont support the resolution, no adjustable stand (i made my own for eyefinity).

Pros: crisp clean picture, small bezel for eyefinity, smooth picture, light weight for wall mounting. comes with dvi and vga cable. perfect 16x9 for bluray movies. great black levels, not a washed out grey.
Comment:
amazing monitor for the price. i have 3 in eyefinity and they work great. picked them up onsale for $170, $180, $190. just buy one dont ask any questions.

Cons: sits very low on desk so you have to look down. this is pain if you are used to a hight adjustable monitor. I find this too low to work with because my eyes center on the top black frame. low vertical pixel count so you will scroll more on pages. light colours washed out, or you have to squat and tilt the screen to see them. this is not the case on my dell2840 even if it is sitting low.

Pros: high res, nice touch buttons, cheap, great for gaming, best value dual screen gaming setup.
Comment:
it seems like these extra wide screen ratios are taking over. extra width is great but the loss of 48 vertical pixels actually affect real work. I will be selling these and going back to a 24" 1920x1200 even though it is dying screen ratio.

Cons: Nothing, apart from the extra bells and whistles you get with more expensive monitors (USB, swivel, HDMI etc).

Pros: Glossy black finishNon distracting blue lightAwesome buttonsCan get to very bright levels

Got this during the boxing week sale for about $170 with free shipping. Very good deal as this is 23", looks very nice and has cool buttons.Don't worry about bad support from games because of the odd resolution. Most of the new games (2008 and up) will support this resolution no problem. Also remember you can't use the auto adjust function if you're connecting this through the DVI connection.

Got this monitor on the boxing day sale for $169.99 and it was worth every penny. No where else could I find such a high res monitor for such a good price. When working on projects and things its really nice to be able to have two full pages right next to each other.Overall a very good value and I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Cons: Not height adjustable, no usb, no hdmi.

Pros: Beautiful picture, sharp resolution, no dead pixels.
Comment:
For $169.99 (or really any price sub-$200), this is a terrific monitor. Gaming at 2048x1152 is gorgeous and no ghosting is visible. Yes, it is missing HDMI but what do you expect for less that $200. For code development, this thing is very nice. The extra space is a godsend. I have dual monitors at work, but I'd prefer 1 of these so I don't have to move windows between the screens.

I bought this monitor during the boxing day sale for the amazing price of 169.99 with free shipping + PST. I have yet to see another monitor that exceeds 1080p resolution. The strengths I stated sum up this monitor. I don't have much experience with LCD monitors, my only prior one being a 19" 4:3 Dell Monitor (1280x1024), however I have no complaints. And should anything go wrong, this monitor has a 3 year warranty. This review was modfied by poster @ 01-19-10 01:53 AM

Cons: - "touch" buttons at the bottom bezel

Pros: -high resolution: 2048 x 1152-crisp text-good colours for TN panel
Comment:
Bought this during the boxing day sale and received it a few days after. Out of the box, the monitor brightness setting was set so high that looking at the screen hurt my eyes. However, after adjusting the various settings, I was surprised at how good the picture quality was (It was better than my 2 year old 22inch Samsung TN monitor). I never heard of this 2048x1152 resolution before purchasing this monitor and I was afraid my older video card (Radeon 9800) would not be able to support this resolution via DVI. Luckily, the Radeon 9800 does output at this resolution, and also, my t60p laptop (via VGA) was able to drive output to this monitor at this resolution as well.If the price of this monitor drops, I will most likely pick up a second unit for a dual display setup. I highly recommend this product.

I cant believe I got this great 23' monitor for $169. At 23' it's quite big as far as monitors go. I am astounded by the picture quality, although I have to expect that from samsung. I have it connected to my HD video card and as far as I can tell it's full 1080p HD w great colours and crispness.

Cons: Enjoys to be at the native resolution of 2048x1152. If resolution is scaled back to 1920x1080, the display is not as crisp. This is true of most LCD panels though. They prefer to be at their native resolution.

Pros: Don't think you can beat the monitor for the price.
Comment:
Bought 2 of these on special for a dual monitor setup to replace my dual 19" 4:3. These monitors are very sharp and crisp. No dead pixels but I would always suggest buying the dead pixel warranty.

Cons: Since the moulding around the screen is smooth and reflective, it can give the appearance of light bleed at the edges of the screen.

Pros: Very bright and crisp images. well designed exterior. Works well wall mounted or on the stand.
Comment:
Bought this monitor with a different SKU: 38254. Appears to be the same monitor though. I love this monitor for gaming, web surfing and watching videos / movies. Sitting here next to a 19" SONY 4:3 1280X1024 monitor that's about 5-6 years old, this monitor blows it away. It's brighter, sharper and oh so much more screen real estate! While it is a TN monitor, it's one of the best I've ever used and well worth the asking price.
