Samsung LCD Monitors B2440M 24W 1920X1080 Dual Mod LCD 70000:1

I bought three of these monitors to use on my main game rig for Eyefinity gaming.I always buy Samsung monitors so that was a given.I chose these 2440's because they have the height-adjustable stand and a relatively thin bezel edge, which is a must for running a triple-monitor system.All that I had to do for adjustments was turn down the brightness a bit. The imaging on all three is excellent. There are also no dead pixels on any of them.The stand can be a bit wobbly when fully extended, in that it sways a bit side-to-side when tapped. This can mean some monitor bumping if you are running them in a triple setup.The stand is great in that it has swivel, tilt, height, and rotate (portrait or landscape).The units come with a DVI cable, VGA cable, and an audio cable (and power cord of course).These are an excellent monitor for either business or personal use. The 5ms speed is just fine for gaming. I play a lot of games and there is no ghosting at all on any of them. Eyefinity works great with games like GTA4, CrysisWars, Left4Dead 1/2, Dirt2, etc., and three of these Samsung monitors work great with Eyefinity.

I got this after returning a Samsung 2494HW. The 2494 has HDMI, speakers, DVI and height adjustable stand, but contrast is a bit lower at 50000:1. But the MAIN reason I got this B2440M model was because of its looks. It's a LOT more professional looking, clean, and professional looking than the 2494 *from the back*. The back of my monitor faces the entrance of the room so I really appreciate a plain flat housing. The 2494HW's rear has too much stuff going on. Lots of bulges, etc. If you can't see the back of your monitor, then I have nothing against the 2494.I would rate the B2440 four stars, but given the price today of $215, the great value puts it over the top!(One of the lowest prices for a height adjustable 24" LCD currently).
