Cons: Haven't found any yet

Pros: Colour, Price, Size
Comment:
Plain and simple, you will not get anything close to this quality for the price. I am using HDTV from Eastlink and HDMI from ATI 5450HD Video card and they both rock...

Cons: - Composite plug is not included, which means no Nintendo 64 without buying a 'composite to component' adaptor.- Gets micro-fractures easily if drop ped even slightly, BE GENTLE! A drop  from half an inch might damage the clear siding.

Pros: Cristal clear, excellent brightness settings, HDMI, built in speakers, nice colours.
Comment:
Excellent monitor, good for any workstation/gamestation. Option remote is very simply, along with the menu, and easy to navigate for anyone who is tech-illiterate.Good connectivity, but the lack of a place to plug in my Nintendo 64 was a disappointment. (Time to shell out for that adaptor)

Cons: - Pretty slow when you change the input signal on the screen and when you "touch the POWER button" (3-5 Secs). You don't have to press the "power on", just touch it... somebody don't like. Who cares ? - Make some heat. - Can't fix it to the wall.- Speakers are not for a "sound lover", but there's is a fair stuff.- Black are not ultra "black"(for a very advertise eyes).- Sharpness of the text (for a very advertise eyes).

Pros: - Design - Quality assembling and overall- A lots of inputs connections- HDTV... with a sensitive tuner for future (in 2010).- USB for updates or services - Reliable, etc.
Comment:
I'm very happy with my choice.Connectivity of this model is for me is really remarkable (, hdmix2, dvi-d, component, digital audio, .Many choices of pictures modes are available and a lot of settings, for all type of viewer (...i prefer the "chaud" mode ...may be warm in english). All menu is friendly user.Movies, gaming (ps3,Xbox,pc), web, HDTV tuner (TV), the work is really well done !Around 300$ or less it's a smart choice (i paid 340 $ +tx one year ago). I'm absolutely sastified with my choice and i love this "beast". I love the price to !Sorry for my poor writing, i'm not the "best" bilingual !Steve, Québec This review was modfied by poster @ 07-10-10 01:55 PM

Cons: Good but not great text sharpnessGood but not great contrast Blacks could be better

Pros: 24" Screen, provides large desktop space Good SD Video Quality Produces good colors Decent assortment of video/audio connections Ideal kitchen or bedroom TV Sensitive TV Tuner for OTA signals
Comment:
I purchased the T240HD to watch OTA HDTV in my kitchen, and to use as a backup computer monitor. While it did take some tweaking to get the colors the way I like them, once done both HD and SD TV channels looked excellent. Not sure why some people are stating that SD TV is unwatchable, perhaps they are sitting too close, as SD video requires a greater viewing distance than HD to look decent. The ATSC tuner is surprisingly very good, using a high gain UHF antenna on my roof in Burnaby BC, I am able to receive 20 channels (11 in HD),of which 8 channels come from Seattle Washington. Next year after the digital conversion is completed in Canada, the T240HD could pull in 15-17 OTA HD channels for a grand total of $0 per month.

This monitor is awesome for gaming, fast refresh, high contrast. Only downfall is its view angles, but that's the downfall with these TN panels.

Cons: no pip, some set-up parameters permanently greyed out

Pros: Bright screen, good resolution, clear tv picture
Comment:
Used as a tv this is great, the picutre is bright and clear, surprisingly low black level. Even looks good on regular cable (cf. digital or hd). as a monitor, again, very bright but requires some playing to get colour calibration correct, shipped it was extremely heavy on the blues. Also doesn't seem to be wall mountable, which is too bad. But all in all, for the price, this is a quality unit for anyone wanting a monitor with a built in tv tuner.

Cons: Non-standard VESA mount.

Pros: Great picture, lots of inputs, stylish.
Comment:
Overall great TV with lots of inputs. Picture is good with my Rogers HD box. Also great if you want to use as both a TV and a monitor. Very stylish finish, albeit a bit of a fingerprint magnet. Then again, pretty much all electronics are these days!My only issue is that this monitor does not have standard VESA mounting screw holes. You need to purchase a separate adapter that will allow you to attach to a VESA mount, which I find stupid. If it wasn't for this flaw I would give it 5 stars.

Cons: I wish it had PIP and a dual tuner. Collects a lot of dust! No tilt, so make sure it will be placed at eye level! Could use better speakers.

Pros: Very nice colors, the digital tuner is good. Plenty of connections including 2 HDMI! No ghosting effect observed. Plenty of options for adjustments in the menu. There's a sleep timer, 30 mins increments all the way to 180 mins.
Comment:
1st this monitor is huge! I can't imagine what the 26 looks like. Like the web reviews there is a little buzzing sound when brightness is less than 90%, but to be honest you can get use to it, not a deal breaker for me, my computer makes more nose than that!!! :P. The monitor does produce a lot of heat, so make sure there's room behind and on top for it to breath. Lets hope that it won't break down after a year or so. There's plenty of options A friend of mine came over, saw it and asked me to order one for him. Got it on special at 289$, so keep watching those weekly specials. There was no cable box slot on the model I receive, I guess it's because it's the Canadian version and the remote is not the one that you see on the picture on the NCIX site, again I guess it's the Canadian version. The speakers are decent but not that great. Mine came with no dead pixel, I highly recommend taking the extra insurance (Add express coverage as they call it). Now my big debate, do I get an other one for my self to replace my 213T!!!The only reason why I'm not giving it 5 Stars is because I don't know if it will breakdown after a year or so, heat is the enemy. Time will tell if they built it rock solid!

Cons: - Display angles???

Pros: - Brightness, TV tuner, Colour, 16:10, Built in Speakers, Design, Inputs, Remote
Comment:
I picked this up after reading lots of reviews. Lots of reviews said that this monitor didn't have great viewing angles, the speakers were weak and the touch power button doesn't always work... but...the viewing angles aren't bad at all. I know they can be better, but it's definitely fine for the average user. Speakers - definitely not a great set, but it's a desktop tv... it outperforms the small 20inch tvs you can buy. It has lots of inputs and outputs so you can easily hook up a speaker set. The touch button has yet to trouble me. It works everytime. This screen is great. I am super happy with the purchase. The screen is great, the resolution is great, and overall I would highly recommend this monitor. So many options and features. A bit more expensive than a standard 24inch, but has the tv tuner, so if you need it (which I will use in a dorm room) it's the perfect fit.

Cons: -Bezel colour (some may not like the red colour on the bottom)

Pros: -Great price-Built in TV tuner-1920x1200 (not wide-screen)
Comment:
Bought this for a friend's build. I'm loving the built in TV tuner. I'm not a big fan of wide-screen resolutions so the extra vertical real estate is a bonus. I didn't realize that the bezel had a red colouring at the base. Some people maybe turned off by this. My friend seemed to like it though.P.S. Spell check is telling me "colour" is spelled wrong. NCIX might want to change the spell check to a Canadian setting:) Canada Rules!!!

Cons: terrible SD tv viewing, monitor is not adjustable.

Pros: aesthetically pleasing, good picture as a monitor, lots of inputs.
Comment:
I have yet to try the monitor with an HD box because my HD box is in the living room. However, the SD feed is awful, despite any configuration settings I try. Way too much blurriness and ghosting, It is virtually unwatchable.I thought the monitor would function as a monitor in the sense that the panel would be adjustable (at least vertically as the third picture above seems to indicate). The fact that it doesn't means it is more tv than monitor. I had to put mouse pads under the front of it to tilt it up to provide a more natural viewing position. The set itself looks great and the picture as a monitor is excellent. I am hoping that the picture will look great when I hook it up to an HD feed at some point.

Cons: Only 2 HDMI ports. For the price a USB hub could be appreciated. About the price is a bit higher than the same thing in other brand.

Pros: Good aspect ratio, good contrast, the tv tuner is easy to use (like plug and play!). HDMI ports are very useful.
Comment:
Its the best between HDTV and LCD Monitor, perfect for play with the 1920x1200!! Very beautiful look, very good setting, easy to use, come with a remote controle. All you need to plug everything you have like: cable/antenna, 2 HDMI, components wires, optical input. About the sound, it gots very good speaker. MANY features for every kind of use like: theater mode, intertainment mode, etc etc. A must have for a versatile gamer!

i think this monitor is awesome! i waited for it to go on sale ($285.99) and i bought it right away. i really dig this monitor because i dual monitor with another 19inch and i game on the t24. there is somewhat delay for the monitor to start but its not a problem for me. overall if the monitor gets cheaper than $285.99 you should definitly consider getting it. highly recommended for gaming!!

Cons: Slow to switch to PC input.

Pros: Great value, plenty of connections, looks great.
Comment:
I got this mostly for playing my 360 and as a secondary monitor, but also for the built-in TV tuner and so far I am not disappointed. Picture looks great on all inputs and sound is on par with what you would find in a comparable Samsung LCD TV making this monitor a great value over a same sized TV.

Cons: slow start-up time, wish it had composite connectors, the built-in speakers are quite quiet.

Pros: Excellent Image quality, lots of connection options, attractive design, base is on a bearing and swivels smoothly
Comment:
Got the monitor on a sweet boxing day sale. I'm using it to extend my desktop, OTA HD broadcast  TV, xbox 360, and the wii. The monitor has a crazy amount of inputs, switches easily between them, and has good scaling for less than full resolution inputs. Really a decent monitor, great TV tuner, and a load of connectors. Take the time to set up the monitor correctly, and it'll work well for you.

Cons: Tilting and maneuvering the monitor is a bit of a nuisance.

Pros: Many outputs, nice design, user friendly menus
Comment:
Depending on what your wants and needs are will help you determine which monitor out there is for you. In terms of this monitor, it has many outputs which is great if you have a lot of things to plug into the monitor. As for value to price ratio, I believe there are other monitors out there which are newer and provide better quality, but I am very happy with the purchase as I can plug two consoles, a PC, and OTA antenna all in the same monitor.

Cons: VERY slow and annoying input selection

Pros: SizePriceOutstanding quality
Comment:
Overall a good 24" monitor. The only thing worth noting is how slowly it switches inputs. This can be quite annoying if you don't move the mouse as soon as the screen turns on because it will then spend about 45 seconds switching inputs before finally going back to the correct one.

In response to Manuel_E about his review: you are configuring things incorrectly.Love this monitor, got it for around $340 from NCIX last Christmas. Gave me 22" monitor to my sister and traded in for this one from my dad.Looks great for watching High-Def movies (especially if you have the best codecs, ie. coreavc), have had zero issues so for, works great as well for games of all types...you have to sit farther back than a 22 or 19 inch though because it's big enough that it actually allows your eyes to pan around....Light leakage is quite good... not much leakage at all. Zero bad pixels on mine. This review was modfied by poster @ 11-24-09 06:35 PM

Cons: Heavy back light bleeding, very weak depth of blacks, as a television it is difficult to watch with SD input.

Pros: Fairly inexpensive. Lots of desktop real estate as a monitor.Games look ok.
Comment:
I am quite disappointed with this purchase. I don't have an HD feed in my computer room where I put this TV/monitor and the regular cable signal looks terrible on this TV. Quite blurry and motion is even worse. I could not finish watching a hockey game as it made me nauseous. Picture looks much clearer on the little CRT I bought this to replace. As well, the automatic aspect ratio only works with HDMI input so with a coax input I have to manually select  the aspect ratio each time the feed changes from one show or channel to the next. DVD's and HD videos I have look quite good on screen, although fast motion scenes have a slightly noticeable blurring but not nearly as bad as the tv with SD input. Also divx videos look fine and are quite viewableAs a computer monitor it works fine but the depth of the balcks is very weak. I have three other older LCD panels , two Samsung and an LG and they all have better black than this one. Games look fine and I can't notice any ghosting. It's a nice idea to have it all in one package but unfortunately it looks like my idea of turfing the little CRT and replacing it with this 240HD for watching TV in my computer room won't work for me unless I spring for a Shaw HD box. I don't think I'll be using the tuner much at all. This review was modfied by poster @ 11-05-09 10:40 AM

Cons: Even though its very minimal, the backlight bleed is noticeable when you are in the dark and watching a completely black picture. But I haven't found an LCD monitor that doesn't have some sort of backlight bleed so I don't even know if that should be a con. Like I said, its very minimal.About the only other qualm I have with this monitor is its lack of pitch adjustment. It pretty much only rotates side to side and has no vertical adjustment or vertical angle adjustment. I have no idea why Samsung did that but, hey, its not that big a deal.

Pros: Does everything I want it to! HDTV tuner is very capable. Picture is very good. Very vibrant colors. Good response time in PC gaming. Intuitive menu controls for picture adjustment. Nice remote. Multiple HDMI connections and pretty much every connection you could ask for (DVI, VGA, Comp, etc).
Comment:
Let me say that I have had this monitor/TV for over a year now. It has been beyond great! I upgraded from a 226BW because I wanted a HDTV slash computer monitor for my bedroom. It has been a fantastic upgrade for everything from gaming to watching 1080p HD TV and Blu-Ray movies. You can't go wrong here....
