Cons: See summary

Pros: Texture, components, speed

I have been impressed with every aspect of the computer except for 1 thing:The Caps Lock, Num Lock, and Scroll Lock buttons don't have a visible "on" light or display. For example, if you hit Caps Lock, the only way of seeing if you have it on is by typing something. It would be nice to have some sort of visual cue. It's not a huge deal but just a tiny thing that will eventually get annoying. As for the build quality, performance and stuff like that, it's all fine. I honestly think people who complain about Acer's products have dropped the product (or their heads) on the stairs one too many times. Every aspect of the laptop is very sturdy and has a quality finish to it.

Cons: The monitor is more designed for office purposes rather than gaming and movies, as the contrast ratio is not the best on this unit. its it no way intrusive, but is noticeable when compared to other laptops

Pros: Powerful CPU and Graphics Combo for the price, was able to play Bulletstorm with settings on full with no noticable drop  in framerates while playing. 1080p movies play effortlessly
Comment:
For the price, i couldnt find another laptop with such processing power. System loads quickly and i never have to wait for programs to load up

Cons: The speaker, but then again, if you do care about sound you probably wouldn't be using built-in speakers at all.Glossy screen is more prone to glare.Slow hard drive.

Pros: Great price for what it's packing.Plays games!

For $600, you're going to have a lot of difficulty finding another laptop that has as good of a graphics card as the ATI Radeon 6650M. The Quad-Core CPU may not trump Intel's high-end chips, but from the benchmarks I've seen it should at least challenge something like an i5 480M.I've not encountered any problems with the machine's functionality as of yet - everything works as advertised, including all the games I've tested so far. In fact, I did some benchmarking of my own, which I guess I'll just show you now:2011-05-03 22:48:21 - Crysis2Frames: 14918 - Time: 334935ms - Avg: 44.540 - Min: 0 - Max: 61(Settings: High quality, no AA, no motion blur)2011-05-04 20:09:45 - BorderlandsFrames: 39506 - Time: 668870ms - Avg: 59.064 - Min: 24 - Max: 64(Settings: High textures/graphics quality, no AA)2011-05-04 21:32:44 - CivilizationV_DX11Frames: 13417 - Time: 275357ms - Avg: 48.726 - Min: 0 - Max: 82(Settings: High textures/graphics quality, medium shadows, low fog of war, no AA)All games tested on the native resolution of 1366x768 and benchmarked with FRAPS. Some sample screenshots I took are over here: http://dark2025.imgur.com/screenshots (please view full resolution for best results)Don't worry about the 0 minimums on Civ V and Crysis 2, that happened due to loading, which is impressive because the average still managed to be pretty high despite the 0 FPS during load times. The hardware did get warm on the left side after gaming sessions, but I wouldn't say it felt hot. Just make sure to clean the fan once in a while (as you should with any laptop, really).Basically, it's a very decent all-purpose laptop, especially for the price. Highly recommended if you're looking for a low-end gaming laptop.

Cons: Only 1 speaker, slow Hard Drive 5400rpm (need to be changed)

Pros: Fast, light, have a keypad, screen is cool, design cool, 6gb of ram, Hard drive of 500gb, HDMI plug and the price, Good video card 1gb independant.
Comment:
This is a good notebook powered by an AMD Phenom II X4. This is not the best processor compared with Intel I7, but it will do a great job for all your needs. You can play games and run Virtual Machines perfectly with this notebook. I have changed the 500gb hard drive for a 64gb SSD Kingston V+ and it's more faster! I score a 6,7 / 7,9 in the performance test of Windows 7. I think it's great!! :DI think the more weakness of this notebook it's the mono speaker. I don't understand why Acer havn't put a second speaker in this notebook. But, if music doesn'y matter and that you have earphone of external speaker, you will not be concerned by this small annoying thing! This notebook worth the price!
