Got this to replace a corded mouse (which was the temp. replacement for the Logitech mouse that came with the MX3000 desktop set). This mouse is very fast and smooth, and the scroll wheel feels awesome (completely smooth, no "clicking" like most mice). My only (minor) complaints are that the thumb buttons are a bit awkwardly placed (at least for me), and the receiver unit is unecessarily large. I was expecting a small USB receiver the size of a flash drive, but it is a corded unit. It's about twice the size of the Logitech receiver. |

Cons: Scroll wheel is rather large, plastic on the last one (previous gen) flaked- down with silver plastic!

For larger hands this is a great mouse, unless you want your wrist resting on your mousepad/desk. Tracking is speedy enough. The placement of the two side buttons is perfect for your thumb and thumb knuckle to press, set to reload and team speak or something else that's more than one key away. Used to be copy paste for a while when I was working with documents and managing files. If only Micro$*it would make everything like there mice, maybe they'll just be a great peripheral company someday. |

Purchased this mouse from NCIX about a year and half ago, still going strong. Good to see the price has come down a little. Honestly, this is a great wireless mouse for the price. The long battery life alone makes this mouse very cost effective. I get about a month on my rechargeable batteries, and about 4-6 months with non-rechargeable. 1000DPI is more than enough for everyday tasks, but also makes it useful for a person who does some light gaming as well. |

THIS MOUSE ROCKS! It's battery Life is aweosme. I get more than 5 months on a single charge with my Panasonic Rechargable's. I also have the Matrix version of this mouse, which looks really cool. I find I never have any problems with tracking, or the wireless connectivity. I play FPS mostly, and it never lets me down. I use the thumb buttons as well, which are great.This is a great product, and I HIGHLY recommend it to everyone! |

For me, this is the best mouse I have ever used. Before this one, I wore out an MX-518 corded mouse and before that, I wore out an early version of the MS 5000 Platinum.This mouse doesn't tire your hand, has a great weight, a smooth scroll wheel, properly placed buttons and a fast wake-up from standby. The 5000 Platinum is a fine product that is more than worth the price. Highly recommended.
