Cons: Braided sleeving isn't very durableOnly semi-modular

Pros: 80 plus silver specQuietFlat black looks good in my caseLong cablesGood price
Comment:
Upgraded from Earth-watts 650 as I needed something beefier for cross-firing my 5770's and future-proofing my rig. Overall I'm pleased with this PSU and am confident it will serve me well.

Cons: Cables are stiff, but that's the price you pay for nice black sleeving to make it look good.

Pros: Good priceLots of powerQuietNice black sleeving
Comment:
Went with this over a corsair unit of similar power because of the sale price. Got it for $120. If it and the corsair were at the same price point, I might've gone with the corsair for their reputation, but with the sale this was an easy choice. So far so good, seems to be providing good consistant power without too much noise.

I bought this power supply to replace my old Antec Phantom 500W. Not that it wasn't working anymore, but I needed more juice since I've upgraded my rig the last couples of years. My main interest in this model was the noise level. Being an adept to quiest computing, I didn't wanted to replace my almost silent Phantom 500 to something noisier.Since my system does not consume more than 475W at full load, most of the time I can't hear the PSU at all, since the rest of the component in the PC are louder. Here's a great review for this model: http://www.silentpcreview.com/Seasonic_M12D_850WThis is definitely a great upgrade for my system, as my old Phantom 500 didn't had sleeved cables nor modular cabling. Cable management in my tower was so easy with this new PSU.

Cons: MSRP, 2 12V rails

Pros: Very quiet, good voltage regulation, powerful, efficient, modular, 2 EPS12V plugs (newer servers), price (on sale), pretty
Comment:
Where to begin? At 850W, this is the quietest PSU I have used. I thought my old Enermax was quiet. Modular cabling works out very well along with high efficiency, independent voltage regulation, DC to DC converter... this thing is amazing except for 1 little thing, 2 12V rails instead of 1. This thing was selling for $250 for the longest time and now at $120, what more can one asks for? At this price, I don't think there is any 850W PSU out there with better quality and features than this. Buy one now!

Very silent PSU packed with performance.Note: Semi-modular PSU. Motherboard, 1 drive cord and 2x8pin are built-in... but well... you would have them plugged anyway :)

Cons: Expensive compared to lesser PSUs

Pros: Ultra-Quiet, powerful, reasonable price, modular, works with Antec Cables
Comment:
I bought this PSU for a power-hungry system that was powered by a noisy Antec Quattro 850W PSU. This is night and day -- I can barely hear my computer at all now. This PSU is almost completely inaudible. The power output of this thing is plenty for my overbuilt PC with five DVD-writers, Five hard drives, and two high powered video cards, and it's still whisper quiet.I also had some custom SATA cables for the Antec PSUs, and the modular connectors on this PSU are compatible with the Antec cables, which was a big plus for me. (Note that the PCI-E cables are not, just the SATA/4-Pin HDD power cables).

Pros: - Efficient- Nearly silent
Comment:
If you can get this PSU when it's on sale, go for it. Otherwise you might do well to look at the new Seasonic X-Series, or newer PSU from other trusted brand (Corsair, XFX), since they migh provide better efficiency, and be fully modular.

Pros: very efficient, quiet, modular
Comment:
This is the best PSU i've used so far. I love how it is modular so cable management is much easier. It is also very quiet and high load levels. There are some reported issues such as high pitched whines but I haven't noticed abnormal noises from my unit. Overall, very nice PSU (got it onsale for $129)!

Cons: Seasonic QC. High pitch whine.

Pros: Nice, clean power. Very highly regarded
Comment:
Bought it on sale, nice price for a 850w modular seasonic.Turned it on, has a high pitch whine most of the time.Quite unbearable, blame fully placed on Seasonic.NCIX allowed RMA with the whine, will be receiving new unit. If it continues to have the same problem, I may reconsider buying again. RMA is always a hassle.

Pros: 80plus, sale price, semi-modular
Comment:
Picked one of these up to help clean up the interior of my case. With the non-modular cables you have connections for 2 CPUs(1X8pin, 2X4pin), 2 Fermi GPUs(8pin+6pin), 3 Sata, and ofc the mobo.Well packaged, good company, no registration required for warranty service.

Cons: High price if not on sale

Pros: Very Quiet and low temp
Comment:
Bought it as a back up unit to my Corsair TX850W originally. But I end up using this one instead due to it's quietness and lower temperature. Semi-Modular helps reducing some cables so air flows through nicely. Highly recommended.

Comment:
bought it as an upgrade for my old 750w psuit was a realllly good deal the price i paidthe reason i said modular is strength and weakness for this psu is because it still not fully modularits a strength for people who uses all the cables thats still attached to the psu but like me i am left with some thats better off removed (extra 8 pin connector)but in terms of performancethis one is exceptionalstable and realiablewould recommand again

What is there to say about well known Seasonic brand power supply. On a side note though, I purchase two of these power supply and one of the box seal had been tamper with. Although the contents are there, just seem to bother me though as if it is a RMA or a return.

Cons: High price tag. (Unless you get it on one of the frequent sales.)

Pros: Very quiet.Nice appearance and construction.Cranks out power with a whisper.Modular cables.
Comment:
My first modular power supply and I'm very pleased with it. Matches my case, easy cable management with full sleeving to the box. It's going to take me a fair bit more hardware before I get anything more than a whisper out of this thing as it has a LOT of power to offer. Picked it up on the boxing day sale, price was so good my wife didn't even agro over it.

Cons: Would have preferred to have only 24 pin ATX and 8 pin EPS hardwired to PSUMinor nicks/tears in parts of cable sleevingStiff cables

Pros: QuietHigh EfficiencyModularTons of connectors
Comment:
This PSU is inaudible over my case fans but I am really not stressing this thing at all (good thing the efficiency curve is pretty flat). Purchased because I wanted a modular PSU and the price was too good to pass up. Using this in a top-mounted case so can't really comment on cable lengths. The weaknesses I listed are pretty minor and not enough to subtract any stars.

I always been a big fan of Seasonic PSUs and I can say that this PSU delivers the goods. This is a highly polished product that should satisfy even the most demanding PC enthusiast.
