Rebuilt my son's computer, the board installed uncomplicated, fired up and ran great. Working with an Athlon II x4 @ three.1 GHz, 4 GB Corsair Vengeance memory total, running on Windows 7 64 bit. Utilized on board Vidio for now, as I had to preserve the price down, My son and family members are delighted with the construct and the speed for now.Have constantly been delighted with Asus, great support on drivers and Bios upgrades and of course AMD CPU's rock! Because this was a rebuild, I went to reuse there newer DVD drive with IDE interface and discouvered there was no CD 4 pin audio plug on the board, that sucks. I also had to push the memory speed up in the bios as it wasn't running at complete capacity. I am going to build a new pc for my wife and will use this board for her construct also, but I am purchasing a new SATA DVD drive on this create and not worry about the four pin audio on older dvd drives.

Excellent MOBO, installed smoothly, six SATA connections are nice. On board video failed, appears the heatsink/video card got unseated somehow. The program was built and I needed it at an occasion, plus I had a video card as element of a combo, so I was capable to use it... had no choice but to use it. Disappointed that I had to press this into service with a failed onboard video, but that's my fault for not organizing a small additional ahead. I won't buy this particular board again. Two eggs off for the video failure.

Everything functions correct out of the box. Installed with Phenom II processor. Installed Windows 7 64 bit edition Ultimate. Anything worked on the first try. The fan is quite quiet. One particular user said the fan speed on the CPU was too high. I haven't noticed any challenges, it's a fantastic bargain. Get a motherboard with HDMI. With Windows 7 you can watch movies on your massive screen Television and browse the internet at the exact same time all from the similar computer system. It's the only way to go.

*It -has- the potential to unlock cores... BIOS requires also much function around to even get anything out of it.*The OC capabilities are decent, yet, in numerous cases, the board will inform you your OC failed prior to it even attempts to activate. *The on-board graphics failed and started generating entire system lock-ups+artifacts after much less than 1 hour of use. This has been observed in many other evaluations.*The "unleashing mode" feature constantly fails to allow. Even if it isn't capable to unlock any extra cores, the unleashing mode is nonetheless supposed to activate whether or not or not cores were unlocked. It is meant to usually overclock the CPU.*Suspect one of the PCI slots was also inoperable. Was capable to use an old W-LAN card in a single, but, it wouldn't respond in the other. This is a decent bo-- Okay, I can't even lie.I know a lot of men and women that appreciate ASUS, but, based on a lot of recent adverse publicity they've been obtaining as far as boards requiring RMAs and whatnot, I'm most most likely not going to go with them again. In addition, you should most likely watch out if you like to monitor your fans- it has only two fan ports. 1 CPU, 1 SYS.

Quite good mobo for price. Would be better if it had mosfet heatsinks do NOT overclock without having adding heatsinks to the MOSFETS. The farthest I can get with my Phenom II 1090T is 3.7ghz before the mobo temps attain around 50C and it automatically begins throttling down my cpu at any clock following 3.7 with prime95. My cpu temp is only hitting 42C. I'll be finding some heatsinks quickly which should repair the challenge. Unlocked my athlon II x4 620's L3 cache, Overclocked it 3.4 GHz with the northbridge temps going over 38c, six SATA ports!!, 6 USB ports!! fantastic low cost motherboard that I will use till the AM3+ motherboards come out. Only 1 Chasis fan with no PWM, now all my fans are operating at full speed and case is also loud, good thing about this is that my processor and other hardware runs cool aswell. Bottom Line: aside from the chasis fans issue, this mobo is a good obtain,IF YOU DONT Will need THE IGP Obtain ASRock M3A770DE as it has crossfire also at a cheap costI needed the IGP for a handful of days till I got a graphics card

Pretty cost successfulIntegrated graphics are very in a position for youtube, blip and huluExcellent amount of memory capacityWell laid outNo conflicting colour schemes in the power switch area (red wire going to blue plug and so forth.)Has vga, hdmi and dvi outputsUbuntu ready No esata, no usb 3., no firewire hookup. I don't have any of these devices but a feature is a function.Terrible IO Shield, colorless raised lettering that is impossible to study. Failed to be in a position to set up it, so I have to trial and error the sound plugs. You could go incorrect with this board but if you just want to build a decent computer system, you in all probability won't. I would advise acquiring a more strong processors than I did if you want HD playback, triple core or better. You could just add a video card but space is always at a premium in a MATX board.

Never ever had an asus fail before, now I have to RMA this mobo, I am nonetheless getting a committed sound card (Sound Blaster Audigy from e bay for ผ Low cost) so I'll be prepared if it happens immediately after warranty expires.

Bought this board for a budget computer system that is running a improvement test server. Worked excellent for standard computing. Operating RAID 1 with two WD RE4s and it runs quickly. Has trouble running with no create caching turned on. Every single time I installed Active Directory it failed to load Windows. Now running Hyper-V Server 2008 R2 with a VM for AD. This board does good for standard computing (with RAID). Would be once more for a standard desktop.

this is an update following obtaining 5 of this MB. I build for customers in an workplace atmosphere - no more than clocking - just duel core procs and 4GB ram and windows xp - cooler master case and PS immediately after loading norton 2011 AV the pc would do several sudden restarts. I believe there is a conflict with the EPU4 engine that is part of the MB disc. there is also of course energy capabilities in windows that could also conflict. disabling the energy capabilities in Norton didnt fix the challenge. I uninstalled the UPU4 from handle panel and so far so excellent. ASUS internet support is a waste of time - the Tai tech useless. Norton support useless as well. I spent a lot of time figuring out what I believe is the resolution.

I got this as element of a package deal on newegg, a contemporary laptop for 跾 total. As this was a spending budget package, and the board was only ๖, I wasn't expecting significantly from it.Provided these low expectations, I was blown away when I installed it and entered the BIOS setup, and identified much more overclocking possibilities than on boards I've bought particularly for overclocking. If you don't require Sata three or USB 3, this is a *solid* AMD board with the overclocking prospective of boards 3 instances its price tag. I'm additional impressed with this board than boards I've paid 趚+ for.And of course it can unlock the cores of any AMD processor that has them. Unforunately for me, I got a single of the couple of three core processors that actually had a defective 4th core, but Windows 7 still has near instance responsiveness, and my son can play any games at complete settings with a 6850. No Sata 3 or USB 3. But I have but to see a USB 3 device, and only 1 device that can make true use of SATA 3.Only 1 chassis fan receptor. I would have liked to have put in a front and rear case fan and have them each controlled by Q-Fan through the MB, but things appear cool sufficient with just the rear fan.Still, if there's one particular thing I could change, it would be adding a different fan receptor or two. If you're constructing an AMD technique for significantly less than ũ,000, this board gives you higher-end overclocking options at a low-end cost. The board claims to assistance Crossfire, but it only has 1 full PCI-E slot, with a 1x partial PCI-E slot 1 slot above it no real video card is going to fit into, so that claim appears a bit silly to me.

it runs. Was applied with Phenom II 545 x2 and a Cooler Master Hyper 212plus cooler. It spins the cooler fan also fast, at 1500rpm on idle ࿁°C) and it is incredibly audible. A comparable Gigabyte ࿸OGM-UD2H) motherboard spins it at 600-800RPM on idle which is in the quiet range for this cooler. So it's impossible to construct even a spending budget program which is quiet with this board.HDMI port provides an invalid video mode on my Westinghouse 37" monitor upon Windows resolution change on Startup going from the Windows loading screen to the desktop.Set my AMD Phenom II 545 dual core processor into quad core mode unexpectedly. A handful of crashes followed. I then had to Load Default Settings in the BIOS.The HDMI and cooler fan concerns also exist on the M4A785-M board. Funny how an earlier generation ASUS board which I purchased in early 2010 is doing fine, cooler is quiet...Switched to the Gigabyte 88OGM-UD2H and now everything performs.

Set up was basic following the manual and taking into consideration this was only my third create. My last develop was more than five yrs ago and WOW has technology altered. I was able to unlock the 4th core on my AMD X3 450 at the push of a button. Onboard audio and graphics much better than common.I will add a Video card as cash permits. Nothing at all comes to thoughts . I was able to set up Windows 7 Property Premium 64-bit OEM and then run the MB Utility disc flawlessly. I have never had a build this basic and quick. I would suggest this MB/Processor combo to everyone looking to upgrade.

Low value, four ram slots, 6 sata ports, HDMI, 6 USBs, eight channel audio, surge protection, 125w, Asus high quality. Runs a bit warm This board is running quite nicely. I was upgrading on a strict price range, and this fit just proper. The 8 gs Corsair (cheap stuff) worked with out any help. The Pci 2. liked my Saphire 5770. I didn't run the onboard video extended adequate to say what. I have only replaced two failed Asus boads, and that was following reported power surges. The surge protection thingy tends to make me feel great. It shows a larger temp than my 555 processor. I wonder if my five.9 hdd rating is the hdd or the south bridge.

Board is economical, comes with integrated video and HDMI out. Board had four DDR3 ram slots for beneath 贄, and is a quite solid board. The positioning of the RAM slots (in my case) is Very close to the drive bays (it does not actually touch, just a Quite tight fit) and ATI (yuck, would choose NVIDIA) Good mobo for a standard or intermediate program, quite capable board, low-cost!
