Reputable. Stable. Flexible. Wonderful BIOS with tons of possibilities. WILL do what you ask of it if you do the slightest bit of investigation. not two x16 PCIE slots (they'll go to x8 each when plugging in two PCI-E video cards) - not the cheapest MB for AM3 CPUs This is a superb MB to unlock AMD Black CPUs. It is extremely configurable in BIOS so if you get, as I did, a Black Edition Phenom II 555 (dual core, three.2GHz CPU) it may possibly be capable of 4 cores, or possibly only three, or maybe just the 2 you paid for. It might also be capable of 3.8GHz with four unlocked cores on air cooling and just using the stock heat sink/fan (HSF) that comes in the box. Just as mine did. Could it also run DDR3 1333 RAM at 1600? Yep. It can. As Mark Twain stated, "You pays your dollars, you takes your option."

board is excellent and did anything is ought to have for about 2 months the following are almost certainly not the norm. primary gripe is with the RMA to asus. began receiving memory or video adapter related blue-screens, the exact same a single and a lot of them!! about each and every 15 minutes of operation. i changed out video card and ran memtest on the ram both checked out. RMA service is comprehensive rubbish. supposed to be about 10 business days. they've had it for 2 weeks and nevertheless no update on the site. called the center and they have no thought what the hold up is. often bought asus motherboards in the previous but this is surely making me assume about purchasing from one more firm. it shouldn't be that hard to have an precise up to date status system offered for any repair service. no notifications whatsoever. only explanation i know they have it is due to the fact i checked the UPS tracking number. been using my laptop now for three weeks.

Appears truly cool, effortless install, has worked perfectly. ASUS still makes the ideal motherboards around. Missing a slot to connect one particular of the fan wires on my case...I have 5 other functioning fans even though, so it's pretty a lot a non-concern. When installing pay attention to which screws you use! My case came with two different sorts that looked nearly identical, but only 1 type worked for the motherboard. That threw me off for the longest time, so just look closely.

+Full suite of software, including Overclock utility, energy monitor, BIOS flash utility, RAID management. Rather impressive.+RAID utility is quite straightforward to use+Lots of choices in the BIOS for customizing fairly a lot everything+Good worth for characteristics presented -64-bit RAID drivers supplied are NOT WHQL certified and will NOT operate with Windows 7 64-bit installer.-32-bit RAID drivers trigger BSOD errors.-Boot can be slow depending on what BIOS capabilities are enabled Following browsing many AMD/ASUS forums for a option to my RAID driver challenge, I discovered a lot of options that just did not operate. The only technique I can suggest is attempt to load the Vista 64-bit drivers initially. If that fails, load the 32-bit drivers. Soon after undertaking this, I was able to appropriately install Windows 7 with no concerns. Drivers on the Asus help web page are older than the ones you get on the DVD, so don't bother going to the support site. The RAID challenge subtracts 1 egg.

Runs great following I managed to get it working. Looks Neat also. Lacks an IDE channel, but I'm one of 3 folks in existence left who still want a floppy drive plugged in. No LED Error codes like MSI boards have. I had a hard time acquiring it to perform. At first it wouldn't post. This had me worried about a DOA. I decided to eliminate the culprit by adding hardware in one particular at a time. So, I put the video card in with practically nothing else, energy it up, no problem. Add HDD. No problem. Add DVD, no problem. Lastly got around the plugging the keyboard in, dilemma. So I plug the keyboard into a distinct computer system, no difficulty. The keyboard was PSǘ based. Attempted another PSǘ Keyboard with no luck. I had to borrow a USB keyboard from one more machine I had (One that required it back for a KVM that was USB based there) to get the technique to post with a keyboard plugged in. I utilized that to set the Bios up and do a nice clear OS install (Had received Win 7 at the exact same time). Immediately after all that, I put the PS2 Keyboard in and it worked. Then for a while the program refused to post unless the KVM that it was plugged into was set to it when it began. Finally, following about two months, it didn't matter. Odd to say the least.

It saved me a ton of hassle. Replacing my MSI board that went out again. Auto Overclocked my memory ꦈMhz proper out of the box. Style is sleek and all the colors on it match. bios is great. A lot of Possibilities and the board it self has a fantastic layout. heatsinks dont sit to high so fitting my Zalman 9700 in there was straightforward. Value is excellent, good for SLI, AM3, and has far more than enough area for what I need. Had a bit of problems latching the processor into place, the plastic is a tad thick. Worth it for a higher end budget technique.

Good board, Lots of capabilities, supports Dual-GPU, and lots of OC options. BIOS up-to-date, but system still crashes on boot-up, much less than a day right after installing it. PSU,RAM,CPU all very good. If you order this, be prepared for a pretty great chance of getting a dead board.

Great function set for value. worked well. OC'd well. external sata useless, it desires to search the drive every single time which extends boot substantially. so I just opted to use usb instead. The northbridge gets to 60c with no OC simply because I liquid cool the cpu so it gets little airflow. with an OC and high load it just about saw 80c. I had to prop a fan on my video card to cool it which dropped the temps from 80c to a mere 40c, so active cooling is a ought to to preserve the northbridge happy. (temps measured via a probe tucked into the heatsink so I bet actual temps had been higher) make certain you can get excellent airflow more than your northbridge or stability will be questionable long term.

None. It arrived DOA. Did each and every single test doable, it was absolutely a dead motherboard and no other issue. In dealing with neweggs consumer service, I was promised that I would get the item on a particular day. I asked for an overnight RMA back to them, and they refused saying it was unnecessary primarily based on my time table. I was promised the item no later then thursday. I was also told it would be sent to me on time even if my return mobo didnt get there quickly adequate. Here it is, friday and I just got told by newegg that its impossible for me to have it by tomorrow, which was my ABSOLUTE final opportunity day to get this installed before having to wait yet another week(long story not sufficient space to clarify.) They provided me practically nothing in return, no compensation and effectively place the blame on me for not realizing there policies, that there employee certainly didnt know as he created empty promises. What genuinely kills me is, if they didnt penny pinch me and gave me the overnight RMA back to them, id have my mobo appropriate now. And they wont do something to repair it. Also when I named, I was told there was no manager.

Effortless installation.Good connector placement.IDE port for older drives. (This was a blessing.)As of 2ቪቧ, comes with BIOS v2001. Ethernet drivers need to have to be loaded from the CD right after first boot. This is typical of motherboards, but is a discomfort. I bought this board to operate with a 1090t. Original BIOS version for this board had been not compatible with the new 6-core processors. I was worried that I'd have to flash the BIOS (which is usually risky), but upon booting, I found that a compatible BIOS was loaded. I did analysis, nevertheless, and located that older BIOS versions will let you boot to the flash utility with the newer processors, so upgrading isn't a massive deal if you are to run into it.

Cost point. Worked 1st time. Wonderful replacement board. None I purchased this as a replacement for a method that was aging. Placed in the case booted 1st time with new 1600 memory. Had to tweak the bios to activate all six cores, as effectively as optimize memory speed. All tweaks had been rather simple, but you have to be aware to do it. Overclocks easily ASUS utils are included.

Performs fine None I can assume of Don't be as well turned off by the quantity of ɜ egg ratings. I use this Mobo with my HD 6950 and my amd phenom II x4 965 and I can pretty substantially run any game on max settings (not even oc'ed). To be honest although, I don't know as well a great deal about motherboards but it is working excellent for me!
