A lot of excellent features. Appears cool, memory slots are far sufficient away to put an aftermarket CPU cooler in, BIOS is amazing(for the most part-explained below), and stays comparatively cool. A couple of issues are not so very goodɅ)The BIOS has a system for overclocking but I STRONGLY propose not utilizing it. It is really inaccurate with temps/volts. Nonetheless, manually carrying out it with no the system(just go into the BIOS typically)works good.2)The plate that comes with the mobo to cover up input sucks! It is pre-cut but some metal pegs are left on and it was really tough to cut them off so it fit clean.three)There are two buttons on the mobo for overclocking your CPU and one more a single for the memory. Do not use these. They do not work and are just a waste of space.Other than that, this board is very good. If you are on a tight spending budget and looking to build a trusted gaming rig, this is the excellent board for you. Newegg's Really rapidly shipping!

Super fast, and rather quiet compared to the 3 2700rpm fans I have pushing nearly 500cfm through my case, haha! Seriously, this point has the energy to take whatever you throw at it with no issue. Will not do 100% maxed settings in BC2 with my 1090T ʄghz completely. It will run it, but you will get massive dips to 30fps in massive explosions. I feel this is largely due to the game's own poor optimization rather than the card. I generally run 2x AA and everything else on max for really playable game devoid of any frame price drops. ࿦-130+ fps) Not much less in the way of frame price at 8x AA, just the enormous dips in large explosions. All in all, a fabulous, really highly effective card. Doesn't pack the bowl! I have both a 6870 and a 6970. Either card is good for the most up-to-date fps games. (Crysis, BFBC2, Black Ops, and so on). The 6970 is not a huge leap over the other card, but it is positively noticeable. Runs a tiny warmer than I like, so I set my personal fan profile in MSI Afterburner. Haven't overclocked, as there isn't a ton of space for that with this card, but you really won't need it anyway.

I have no clue. Would have been good if it would have worked. Motherboard was DOA. I can't think I wasted practically a whole day on this factor . Would not post. Really the lights would come on and fans would start out spinning. I had to sooner or later just throw in the towel and place my old mother board in there. Which worked proper off the bat. I purchased a mother board and an AMD processor for it. 965 Phenom 2..Not positive what the culprit is, but I don't have the time or the patience and cash to figure it out suitable now I am going to RMA both of them.

Quite informative manual. Without it, I'd probably be dead in the water. The board itself is uncomplicated to set up, and touts wonderful attributes. I purchased an AMD Phenom II x6 1100T Processor to go along with the board. The CPU went right in, but the cpu fan/heat sink would not clip onto the rack mount that was offered with the motherboard. I tried it each directions, checked video tutorials, etc. but it just would NOT clip on each sides! I know it's supposed to be easier and convenient, but I spent 2 hours just trying to get the darn point on. I ultimately just decided to loosen the rack mount screws on one side so I could lift it up just enoughto in fact get each clips on (which probably isn't what you're supposed to do), and re-tightened the screws... Did anyone else have this problem although installing this precise cpu cooler? I hope my technique holds up. The heat sink is fairly flush with the processor, and I'm afraid it could have more than-heating troubles down the road because I'm assuming there's only an incredibly thin layer of thermal paste left inbetween, if any at all. :/I'll update as I get to use the item more.

- Decent documentation/manual- Very good develop top quality- Lots of features- Overclockers finest pal- Its blue - Turbo Important / Core Unlocker buttons on motherboard is a gimmick- No PCI GPU overclocking- RAM slots are too close to CPU socket. Had trouble installing RAM with an aftermarket cooler. Excellent is a key concern that should be considered when getting a motherboard although characteristics is a close second. This motherboard had it all for me and a tiny additional. I have an AMD 955 CPU and the CPU Level Up function created the overclocking so straightforward. There are so several options in the BIOS that I still don't fully grasp it all.

Full size lots of space. AI suite II overclocking/autotune is good. I had an ASUS board with the 1st version and it was good but AI's 2nd version included with this board is awsome. Just click the AI's start off button and it adjusts bus speed, voltage, AND runs a stress test. If all is nicely then it adjusts once again. This function place my AMD965 BE ʄ. and was nevertheless going sturdy untill I hit the stop button as four. was my target none

Nice hunting board, appears to have a lot of capabilities. Powered up but wouldn't POST. One particular of the corners of the board was also nicked upon receipt. Possibly damaged in shipping, newegg's packing wasn't as well fantastic this time. Returned and will just upgrade to the next greatest board.

It runs very good when you very first got it. Immediately after a month or two the turbo button cease functioning then it quit reading my rams. After that 1 of the usb part fell off lol... guess its just my undesirable luck, I can't really blame new eggs for it. It has a 3 years aspect and labor warranty on it so all I can do is just return it back. Pros and Cons are the very same Was going to give it 1 star but this is the first item that I had to return from newegg and I have ordered many.

Fantastic luck with ASUS, and this is no exception. Place 2x4GB Corsair RAM not in the QVL in and operating great. Two much more sticks orders. THE IDE connector is seriously in a horrible location if you've got a huge vid card and a sizable case. (Yeah, I know - why IDE at all. As it is I got ripped on a DVD burner which was IDE.) ATI 4250 onboard graphics? Seriously? Who's gonna truly use that on this sort of board? Additional USB/whatever connectors would've been much better. Lots additional damaging comments, but ultimately lovin the board.RAM referenced: CORSAIR XMS3 8GB ƒ x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 Desktop Memory Model CMX8GX3M2A1333C9

Great features, simple to install, just plug in your elements and go! The motherboard is superb, the application that comes with is okay. I would give four 1ǘ stars if it have been offered due to the software. I have constructed various computer systems over the years and constantly had very good outcomes with ASUS Application problems. I had issued with method freezing when the overclocking software was installed. Even with the setting to default for the technique the troubles continued. Also had a couple of slow downs with AMD's RAID computer software. Kept running background scans on the disks even after I cancelled the scans. After uninstalling the software, no more issues. Excellent feature set for the value. USB three., HDMI out, Gigabit LAN, decent onboard graphics. Can't beat ASUS as far as reliability goes as well. Extremely advisable. The OC tools are also quite user friendly. Simply OC'd my AMD 1055T two.eight X6 AUTOMATICALLY to three.2Ghz devoid of a hiccup. It also looks awesome in my Antec 900 with blue LED fans. The onboard graphics leave a thing to be preferred for to the gamer in all of us. Light, casual gaming performs fine (my wife plays the Sims three and it's ideal) but something more intensive than that just functions inefficiently or not at all. Like I mentioned, can't beat the value. Wonderful feature set. I would've liked SATA III but honestly unless you have an SSD setup I think you'd bottleneck at your HDD anyway.

Lots of characteristics, very good price absolutely nothing to knock an egg for, but the adapter plate for the case has a cushioning material on it that makes you push against it when you install the board. The auto OC computer software is sweet. My black 965 is running four. stable, and it took about three minutes to do it.

Good excellent, functions and stability as usual. Great as a higher end budget board. It would in fact carry out well for a larger efficiency machine due to the fact it supports Phenom chips and up to 16GB memory, although I generally use this variety of board for my basic desktop machines due to the fact it has fantastic onboard video. None. As a technique builder, ASUS has created my life so considerably less difficult. Out of about 300 board of theirs, I've had 1 DOA, and it was an open box unique. I've had failures. This is from working with their price range ุ nVidia 7025 chipset boards all the way up to their P6X58D premiums for my higher end i7 builds. The majority of boards I've used have had the 785G AMD chipset and they function completely. I used to use a wide variety of motherboards (won't name brands) but then decided to stick mostly with one brand to simplify factors and mainly because I was sick of DOA's and compatibility problems. I'm so glad I select ASUS. I can't comment on their client service though, mainly because I never have to speak to them! Preserve in mind that creating a good motherboard is a suitable pain in the neck. If even one capacitor or circuit fails, the whole point is commonly a goner. To be in a position to sustain such a low failure rate tells you anything about their high quality of the components and care in engineering. Thank you ASUS!

Appears cool. Only functions with memory in authorized list. No help from Asus. Will not boot with OCZ ram. Extremely couple of ram choices. MemOK! function is a JOKE. Usually liked Asus goods. Have built a lot of systems with them as the backbone. Even purchased an Asus monitor mainly because I like the brand. I consider this board is the end of that relationship. Granted the ram is not on their list, but it meets the specs, and I have in no way had a MB that was truely that specific.

straight forward in the set up...it operates , so far This is my very first create and I wish the manual had been a lot more chronological in the sequence of things...esp. in the BIOS section and the actual running of the Utility Disk. To you old hands this is no huge deal...to virgins as myself it most certainly is. ATTEMPTED to access the ASUS internet internet site for the provided rebate...Norton would NOT Let access to the website unless I signed away my soul....makes one believe the do not wish to give up the ten bucks they promised, and in turn provides a single pause as to the remainder of their enterprise practices.
