Bought this to make use of an Athlon 64 X2 I've had due to the fact the original mobo died. I hooked it up and it just plain worked. What far more could you actually ask for? I bought this motherboard with the intention of utilizing it within it's specs, based on other hardware I currently had. Sort of a make it and neglect it. There has been nothing that has been misrepresented in the ad for this solution. The onboard graphics are good enough for multimedia, streaming or from DVD. I'm operating Ubuntu 64, 2 gigs of ddr2 800mhz ram. I haven't tried to set up any games however.I intended to set this pc up as an further rig for multimedia, but it does include a pci express slot for those that require the additional power. The only point I had to edit in the bios, was telling it there was no A drive...and never ever will be. Given that it is made to use older cpu's and does contain some connections for older types of hardware, I want it had 1 additional IDE slot for the older challenging drives, but that's not genuinely a huge deal. SATA drives are quite cheap now, and it does have 4 sata slots. That in fact would have made additional sense to me than the ATA cable (A drive) that it has, I haven't needed an A drive because looong before making use of any of the cpu's this board supports. The onboard graphics are fantastic enough for multimedia, streaming or from DVD. (I'm running Ubuntu 64, two gigs of ddr2 800mhz ram)I would propose this board to others, who discover themselves in similar situations as myself. This board performed greater than I had expected proper out of the box, and I'm very satisfied. I won't be abusing it or OCing it. If it kicks the bucket prematurely, I'll be sure to update this critique.

Functions! No troubles so far. Can't count on a lot for the cost, but it does come with some decent overclocking attributes. None so far, just study the specs to make sure you know what you're acquiring (CPU wattage limitation for example). I didn't even try the onboard video, so I can't confirm other individuals issues with it. Works fantastic with my 9800GT even though.

Fantastic and Cheap! Has all the necessities for a solid basic program. So far, incredibly steady. Worked great on very first boot. ุ. No firewire, but never used it anyway. Purchased this board based on evaluations to replace the mainboard in my children' Acer machine that developed power problems. Installed easily (once I got the heat sink and processor apart--hair dryer works fantastic!!), and worked on very first boot. ID'd all hardware with no challenge. Came with a neat tiny bit of software program that permits for quite a few program adjustments, which includes automatic overclocking that worked properly. Only concern was that the cpu fan ran really high correct off the bat. Was turning 5500 rpm with a area-temp cpu. Tried to adjust it down through BIOS and the application I pointed out to no avail. Very loud! Will do some research and see if I can come across a fix. Otherwise, my very first practical experience with Foxconn. Will undoubtedly consider them once again. Very pleased!

Initially of all, you can't beat the cost taking into consideration the characteristics of this motherboard. For a basic technique it has every little thing you will need on board: Video, LAN, sound. Match in my case completely, with room to spare. The documentation is superb. eg. Explains how to clear CMOS alternatively of just saying ,"short pins 1 & 2 to clear CMOS, or two & 3 for standard operation". Comes with one particular SATA cable and one particular IDE cable. Build quality seems very very good. CPU cooler bracket feels strong, boards is nicely laid out and not flimsy. None to speak of - see other thoughts These points are not negatives, especially with a bargain priced motherboard but they are worth mentioning. On-board video is not going to reduce it if you are a critical gamer. There are only two memory slots. BIOS seems to have some overclocking abilities, I am not an overclocker so I can't rate them. Setup CD added the audio driver but didn't progress to the subsequent driver. I just discovered the installation program on the CD and ran it.

When the bios errors, it quickly looks for a floppy drive. So the chip is not totally hosed. IF I had a floppy, I could most likely flash the chip. Sadly, I do not collect antiques. As stated, the bios does not boot. "Bios checksum error" right out of the box. Don't they have a high quality manage course of action for this sort of stuff? Now I'm stuck playing the RMA game at my expense. There has GOT to be a better way!!!! Oh, there is... manufactures generating good quality items! Darn, what a dream that would be eh? Possibly I'll devote the cash it would expense to ship the thing back to buy a floppy drive. NOT!Newegg still rocks though!

Solid board. Excellent quantity of ports. Runs Windows 7 Nicely. Handles Windows Aero interface. Only 100Mbps LAN connection. Would have been a perfect board if it had Gbit LAN. Add a Gbit LAN card and you have a great foundation for a Windows 7 Computer that runs with out any troubles.

Superb stability, quick POST and boot access. Inexpensive, modest, feature rich (relative to value and class). Drivers from Manufacturer's web page were SLOW. 20kbps download, and several failures at partial completion. I had to restart the download more than 7 occasions, and truly went and got a download manager to resume the partial download to ultimately get the thing. Foxconn should invest in a server in the U.S. if they do not have one, to support support downloads to us North Americans. Delivering  mb downloads appears like a no brainer these days, but I will hesitate to deal with this challenge once again. In the future, it far better be a genuinely fantastic deal for me to have to tolerate this straightforward dilemma a second time.

Does what it's supposed to, Windows 7 compatible, and the cost is correct. Shipping took longer than expected due to vacation but I anticipated that.Foxconn's support web page requires forever to load and even longer to download the drivers for this thing. For anyone getting this board it's in your very best interest to download the drivers from Nvidia unless you have the patience of a buddhist monk.

Had some spare components in the closet and wanted to build up a low-cost Pc rather than waste the parts. This MOBO did the trick, serving as a low-cost MOBO for the construct. Easy set up working with an old AMD64-X2 3800+. I did do a livecd Boot of Ubuntu ten.04 to make confident that it was Linux compatible, which it is, but eventually installed Windows as I am giving this machine to an individual that wants Windows. It is MicroATX for a smaller create. I put it into a Roswill R101-P-BK case. MOBO consists of some obsolete stuff that I don't need to have, like a floppy port on the inside and a parallel port brought out to the rear. The on-board video output is VGA, not DVI.

Newegg, of course, shipped swiftly and was fantastic to function with. I've yet to have a negative experience with them in years of using them for hardware and software program for my small computer organization. As for the motherboard: I had no issues placing this motherboard to perform as portion of a method upgrade, other than having to reload Windows due to the fact it went with a challenging drive from a very old HP Pavilion Computer. The RAM was accepted devoid of a hitch, Windows loaded fine, the AMD processor went in fine. I would acquire a single of these once more, primarily based on what I've seen so far, anytime. The tech assistance technique for Foxconn is the worst I've ever had to deal with. You send them a message (no toll cost-free number with a live individual, or live chat on-line) and they get back to you a couple of days later. If you answer their inquiries, then you have a couple of more days. Can be a incredibly long, slow process. If you want a low cost way to upgrade on a budget, this mainboard has a lot to present. Put in a quickly AMD processor and a decent difficult drive, and you're fine. I loaded Windows 7, 64-bit, and have had no problems since then. If you do will need tech assistance, or even assume you may well need to have tech support from Foxconn, contemplate some other board from a business with a reputation for far better support. I contacted them because I was trying to find a way around acquiring Windows due to building this method for a non-profit organization on a budget, but had to do it, anyway - and it took about a week for me to discover that out as a definite. No tech support ought to be like this and I want Foxconn could do anything unique here.

Installed this in my sister's machine as a Linux box. Working very good so far! Foxconn has me a small bit worried as far as support goes. I've had Foxconn stuff ahead of and their website was broken and unusable. That may possibly not be the case now but retain that in mind. Haven't bothered to mess with anything significantly ... Can't critique for overclocking or anything as of now.

Low-cost lot of cool capabilities. Almost everything! This thing went DOA after one particular days use. The ocing that it claims to have is worthless and the BIOS are garbage. Had a replacement sent and then guess what right after 4 days it went DOA. This factor isnt worth the 40 bucks. I recommend spending a few additional bucks to get one thing that essentially performs. Bought this board as a inexpensive replacement for a second personal computer that i have at house. Normally applied by guests and such. Not worth the time and effort to try to get it to work.

Cost - Rather affordable, Even though the design of the motherboard does not reflect it, the box and packaging had been very nice, the bored is solid and came with relativity new Drivers.Specs - Functions with dual Channel RAM, i couldnt bear in mind if i had checked that so i was worrying my bad, but it does. Compatibility - It operates with the Amd 64 X2 Athlon, and its working solid, all the CPU Functions like Cool N Rather are operating perfectly. RAM - Only has two DIMMs so thats somehting that would lead to difficulties if someone wanted to upgrade their ram.BIOS - Im kinda in to overclocking im not going to do a whole lot, maybe a multiplier/FSB jump here and there no seriously heavy voltage kinda stuff. But there were no more than clocking menus in the bios that i saw, I didnt appear thorough even though. More than all Minus 1 egg for not possessing four DIMM's, and No more than clocking menus. Great board no matter what i say or how i say it, Its solid, im operating a Amd Athlon 64 X 2, HIS HD4650, 2GB of RAM (Dual Channel) a Sound blaster Audigy 2, and an uber old Television tuner card. As properly as a 250GB Seagate drive on SATA. Solid Board channeling every thing like a charm

Low cost. Some overclocking prospective.Linux operates great.Onboard graphics. For the value it would be redundant to list any. You get more than what you spend for. I have employed this board with both an am2 Sempron le-1300 and an am2+ Kuma 7850 BE. Both chips had been completely supported upon boot and no alterations to bios had been essential for the Kuma. The onboard graphics rendered all of compiz fusions effects with little work. Good for a linux box. Windows was untested.
