Cons: most expensive board without a plx chip (not that i needed one)
Pros: -has a ton of features included in the box-great vrms-bios is clean and easy to use-onboard sound is miles above the realtek stuff Comment:
Very good board. its going to run you a big chunk of money but then it might be worth it if you are building a top end gaming rig |

Cons: PriceSize
Pros: Myriad of customization optionsStupid easy to overclockLooks awesome with right colour scheme case and components Comment:
I love this motherboard. It can look a little gaudy and the red and black motif is a little over done but it looks great with my red and blue and black theme. The price is high compared to some other cheaper options. You do get alot for your money though in terms of ease of customization and great cooling features. I installed custom watercooling and the built in motherboard cooling worked great and was easy to incorporate in my loop. The only problem I had with the board was that in my corsair 800D case the top motherboard power supply plug was so far away from the powersupply at the bottom of the case that it was a serious pain to connect. |

Cons: Had some issues with the first one I got, only one of the memory slots would work. I got a replacement the next day and is working fine now.
Pros: This board is packed with features and the red led accents are very nice. Comment:
I would recommend this board to anyone who is looking for a high end gaming motherboard. Something that I would have liked is a variation of the TUF Armour from the Sabertooth board. |

Cons: Software (sort of)
Pros: SizeValueFeature set Comment:
Used this board for my first build and I will definitely be using ASUS ROG boards in the future. The board is only slightly E-ATX but it still uses standard ATX mounting holes so it fit perfectly in my C70 case. Can't wait to start over clocking with it.The one con is the software (Ai suite 2) in that it wouldn't do an automatic BIOS update, I had to manually download the BIOS file outside of Ai suite and then manually tell it to update. I'm still learning this software but that was the only thing that stuck out but not bad enough to take a star off. |

Cons: Included software are not so different of that of lower costSound quality is not better then a Xonar DGSound controls misses some features like the control of headphone ompamp strenghNo feature like Smart Volume and GX (minor)Wifi
Pros: Nice designdisposition of the PCI-e portUSB port count and disposition at the back. included softwareHeat dissipation Comment:
The sound has some issues when playing some music with lot mid frequencies instrument, but has an excellent bass precision, without it being to loud! The Wifi module is not very good at getting a link. A laptop gets a perfect signal where the computer is and the desktop only offers intermittent signal...However, it's pretty much excellent on all other aspect.Well, I might have liked an addition internal USB port, to add a card reader, but that's really not a con.Fan expert is pretty nice, has it can kept a system quiet without a external PWM (fan) controller. But it only allows 3 point graphs. |

So far I've had no issues with installation or usage of this board. I've always purchased RoG motherboards for the past years and haven't been disappointed yet. Good on ASUS for making these premium products! |

Pros: Great motherboardDecent priceMore than enough features for overclocking Comment:
This motherboards a beast. It may not house components like its bigger brother with the 2011 sockets. But it's got everything you'll ever need for gaming, overclocking, and water-cooling. If you're not convinced, forget the pictures, read the online-manual, and check the features out. |

Cons: mcPcie card was a bit finicky.
Pros: Quality, lots of extras, easy to use, solid construction, great looks. Packaging was superb. Board's red theme is killer. Comment:
Great product. Put an i7 2600K, Dominator Platinum 2x8gb, GTX 660Ti on it and it runs without effort. Within 2 minutes of using AI Suite had the i7 up to 4.2 stable on stock cooler. Only issue was setting up the Wifi mbPcie card, and the H40 that came with the CPU deal is not fitting on the LGA1155 socket. Might have to return H40. The MVF is a must have if you are into gaming. Take note, it is an EATX board, but it fit okay in my NZXT M59. |

Cons: None?
Pros: Lots of overclocking featuresLots of accessories Comment:
I have been eyeing this motherboard for quite some time and I finally bought it and I just love it. The BIOS is a major upgrade from the Striker II NSE and it is a lot easier to overclock. I have so much control over anything connected to it.This is a very good motherboard. It's a shame as a previous reviwer pointed out. Compared to the ThunderFX version, this one is lacking a few accessories. |
austin_l@NCIX Rating: Review Date: 08/03/12 |
Cons: Quite heavy even without GPU installed. Supports 3 way CFX But not 3 way SLi
Pros: Good Construction, the quality is great, even the waterblock is polished.Tons of features Including Fan headers, RoG connect, UEFI BIOS, thermofusion waterblock, Great color scheme typical RoG Comment:
One of the best bang-for-Buck motherboards, it is a tad pricey but you do get what you paid for. It includes a bunch of accessories (Tons of SATA2/3 Cables, DoNotDisturb doorhanger,mPCI combo wifi set, mini RoG casebadge etc)This is meant for the extreme gamer/overclocker. It has tons of overclocking features including 2 auxiliary power connectors, LN2 mode, SLow mode. I am a little bit disappointed though about how the non-ThunderFX variant (This one) doesn't include as much accessories like another case-badge, D3 Mousepad, and I don't think it includes Kaspersky Anti Virus. Still great motherboard though, still would give 5/5. |
The motherbord takes time to recognise your hardware at first intall , then it runs like a sharm , had to go through a lot of forums to get rid of the error fail detecting hardwares in the bigining , at my surprise it went back to working and since that day no issues .
