Running dual 2.0 7300 RPM terrabyte drives. I use this primarily for my very large music files in lossless. I have it networked through the server and ripping and sharing is never a problem. Fan is quiet and drives are cool, very cool to say the least in spite of the brutal heavy metal and hard rock. I would like to make note that you must go into the device panel and set this unit up for maximum performance in the selection. USB 2.0 is more than fast enough to keep up the the demand. I would be very interested to see this in USB 3.0 for more extensive services and other rolls. As for my music, this is a wonderful fit.

This is great product for expanding disk space easily. It's easy to set up and connect and works great. The cooling fan is an excellent feature that should help to disipate the heat from high speed, high capacity drives. My only complaint is that I cannot find additional drive frames to purchase seperately. This would enhance the usability by making it easy to swap drives in and out.

This unit has a fan and its quiet.We noticed a lot of drive reviews of every brand complaining about early failure. We think people are putting new drives in a sealed box and then running them for 8 hours straight to back up, cooking the drives. Transfer is fast enough, and we can turn it on and off on the fly. Mostly it's off to preserve our archives, but easily accessible to back up at the end of each job.

First product arrived. didn't work right. drives worked fine without the drive but when i put them in they wouldnt recognize for more then 30 seconds. only one drive would show up. called customer service, sent product back. a week later i got the new one and it worked just fine. simple instructions and step by step instructions for beginner users.
