6 chennels, Quite LEDS, incredibly nice aluminum finish, smooth turning, Matches the LIAN Li silver cases perfectly, ya. There are six 3 pin fan extenders : ). Umm, the light turns red when you turn the knob greater than 4ቦ's. I just bought high cfm fans, and run them on low to keeps the LEDs blue. I genuinely bought it for looks anyways : ). The 3 pin connectors are common while for this price they must have included 4 pin converters. If you use a two pin fan in this, the LEDs will stay only one color. The buttons are a tiny wobbly so BE Cautious when turning and you won't have a dilemma. I imply, they aren't loose or going to fall off or something like that. The front plate is the tiniest bit shorter than a 5" bay so there is a tiny gap under the front plate. No biggie. I assume it would have been better if the blue LEDs got brighter and lighter relative to speed, not turning to red. Barely turning the knob makes them turn to red.

1. Certainly gorgeous in aluminum. The ideal-constructed piece of hardware I've come across in ages. Solid aluminum and thick plated steel physique.two. Fan control on CPU is best -- from nearly silent to complete bore. These are not seriously cons, but suggestions on how to make an virtually-perfect item bestɅ. Barely in a position to be mounted in a tool-less drive bay. Sides really should be about 4" longer to choose up back screw of mounting clip.2. Seems to me that controlling the case fans though, is hit or miss -- mainly because I think the lowest voltage is 7V -- not low sufficient it would appear for powerful fans. Also, no directions! Figured out for myself that the three-pin lead going to the motherboard CPU fan header WOULD fit on the 4-pin header by aligning the right three pins. So, despite the difficulties in receiving this thing to perform, I nonetheless consider it's worth 5 eggs just for the way it's produced and the control of the CPU fans.

Looks sleek and high develop good quality. For some reason my knobs are unique than the ones pictured. They are smaller diameter (probably twoǙ the size shown) and black plastic. This makes them a small tougher to see their position and also detracts somewhat from the general look, though it nonetheless looks rather pleasing, just not all one particular color. Might be the new batch from Zalman due to the fact these were recently out of stock.

The aluminum finish is incredibly good. Matches my Lian Li situation perfectly. The buttons are good and turn nicely, there are little leds that light up to tell you how quick the fan is going. Also, There are two connectors to manage your method fan and cpu fan but can just be employed for common 3 pin case fans instead. There is an extension cable for every 1 of the 6 connections. Superb. There was a small gap in between the controller and the clot cover inder it given that the front plate is a tiny bit shorter than standard. Not a huge deal. The buttons are fairly wobbly, they are attached, but can be wobbled since they are all connected to a single bredboard that is only supported by two screws. All I'm saying is be really careful and you will be fine. There is a lot of resistance for turing as nicely but it is smooth... I got this additional for looks than for needing one. I adore the 6 channel function. This only works with 3 pin fans. it will operate with 2 pin i believe but the tiny leds will do funny things : )

Fantastic manage, sufficient connections for 6 fans with very good range of voltage. Really good finish matched aluminum cases extremely nicely. Only con is that it seems to be a bit smaller sized than some disc drives so there may possibly be a modest gap between other drives sitting subsequent to it or the top of the case you are placing it in. Also, the knobs are created of plastic and a small flimsy, so just be careful and dont apply tons of pressure when you twist them I have mine controlling 5 fans, functions very well. Really excellent manage but the constant blue led lights are extremely bright, they turn red when you turn up the voltage. If you sleep with your computer on make sure the unit sits low on the ground or you tape over the leds at night simply because they are really brilliant. Im not sure if the unit will perform if the leds are burned out as I am positive some folks could either rip them off or have a case with a cover for the drives.

You get fine-tuned control of 6 fans (more if you use splitters) with LED indicator lights letting you know when you've switched from 5v (red) to 12v (blue).There are no selection menus to have to deal with -- just turn the knob for the fan(s) you want to adjust! Doesn't get any simpler than that for manual fan control.It comes with 6 extender cables, two of which come with tach cable headers that can be plugged into your motherboard if you want to get their respective RPM readings.The brushed metal look is Truly good, too! I lately switched to a tool-less case, and though this does fit nicely in the five.25" bay, the mounting holes fall short of the clips my case makes use of to hold other devices in spot. Even though that's the fault of my case and not this item, please preserve this in mind if contemplating buying this.The "molex" power cable is a bit brief, but that's in all probability usually a superior thing. Also, with 6 sets of wires coming out of this factor, it can get quite messy. If you have a tool-much less case, you can still mount this FC, but you may well have to push it deeper into the bay than you usually would in order to line it up with your case's clips. Looks nice in my Mozart TX Channels cut out, fans quit working. No great. Will attempt a second 1 but so far not worth it.
