Cons: - Can only use either wired or wireless connection at a time
Pros: - Cheap ink; separate cartridges.- Scans directly to USB stick, SD Cards, etc.- Built-in LCD screen is very convenient- Wireless and wired networking- Surprisingly good photo printing (I originally bought just to do quick document prints now and then, but now have a new passion for printing out my digital pics!!!)- Space-saving! No other device currently packs as much and as robust functionality as this unit into the same size.- Built-in power adapter (i.e. no brick on the floor)- Great power management (wakes up when needed, even when printing via Wi-Fi) Comment:
I was initially looking for similar functionality in a laser printer, but after weighing the pros and cons, decided to give an inkjet a try. So far, this printer makes me very happy! The software is very functional and just works (not bloated and slow like HP units are famous for). The paper handling is GREAT (I had very bad experience with 2 Canon printers' chronic jamming in the past).Overall, very happy with this printer! I bought one of these at the Christmas sale; it's the 4th printer I've owned over the years (after a Lexmark, an HP & a Canon). It's by far the best of the bunch. It works very well, and very easily, over a network (either wired or WiFi). Drivers install easily with no fuss (unlike my HP or Canon experiences). Printer just sleeps all day, then wakes up automatically if any computer on the network tries to print to it, then goes back to sleep after printing.Scanning is easy. As a photocopier it'll do either black&white or colour. Faxing is easy. I'm really liking this thing. |
Seems to do a really good job all around, I especially like the custom scan and copy options, as well as the ability to scan to PDF, it's new to me. The wireless network ability is more useful than I had initally thought. The little lcd screen is fun, but I didnt find it overly useful with a computer not too far away. Overall I am completely satisfied
