Cons: Although these anti-vib fan mounts are still extremely flexible they're not the silicone mounts which are even softer and more flexible than the rubber ones.
Pros: Large variety; 12 black open chassis fan mounts and 12 black closed chassis fan mounts, that's enough mounts for 6 fans total; also includes 12 blue hard drive anti-vibration rubber grommets with silver screws, exactly like the ones I got with my IBM PC years ago; 4 black rubber feet enough for 1 case; and 20 white zip-cord like tie wraps; all comes in a reuseable/resealable multi-compartment white translucent plastic toolbox.At $27 for this kit that's already equal or better price than a 4pk of Nexus Real Soft Silicone Fan Mounts priced $4-$5 per pack.Fan mounts are rubber and can stretch 2-3 times their native lengths. I havn't installed these into a permanent place yet but I immediately started using then for testing out fans especially cpu mounted case fans. Much faster than screwing anything down, less or no vibrations and far faster to remove too. This is a perfect way to mount large vibration fans on a case door for silence.The only reason not to buy this is if you only need fan mounts and absolutely want the Nexus Real Soft Silicone Fan Mounts. Cons: - Fans holders are quite hard to install, you have to pull with all your strength. Over the time they get easier to handle.
Pros: + Lots of parts included for decent price, all separate would cost much more.+ Quality components. Comment:
If you are into getting some of those parts, you might as well get this kit because silencing parts are very expensive and this kit gives you a lot for your money although it might seem quite expensive at first. The hard drive grommets alone make it worth the whole package. |

I bought it 2 days ago and tried to install this to help silence my computer a bit. Unfortunately, the rubber fan mounts is very hard to "plug" into the fan holds that it seems to be useless. It requires lots of strength and squeezing, and the end result is not optimal. The rubber gromeets for the HDD is also another problem that I found when installing, which is that it may not fit into any pc case. In my case, it can't. The width of the rubber gromeet is too wide to let the HDD to squeeze into place. So I can't install the rubber gromeets, which is a disappointment.Although this kit seems to be a great way to "silence" the pc, but I guess the developers and manufacturers of this product needs to "redesign" ways to help customers to easily install their product. It's a great idea, but there was just a lack of though into the actual installation of the product. In the end, I had to refund it.Unfortunately, NCIX only has this particular anti-vibration kit available. And it is crap. |

Pros: - Almost anything you need to silence your PC case- Sleek look (IMO)- What you need to mount the Nexus 120mm Orange fan to some heatsinks (like Thermalright XP-120, Scythe Ninja) without any mods Comment:
I bought the Nexus 120mm Orange fan from NCIX a few months ago. It is a great fan but I want to put it on the Scythe Ninja heatshink and I don't want to use any tools to cut the closed corners. So, using this solution is the best for me. Of course, it won't silence your fans if it is very audible. All it does is just make less vibration between your fan/HDD & the case itself. So, it is just cheap way to silence a little bit your PC but it won't change dramatically the noise... Overall, you get:- 12 units rubber fan mounts for closed chassis fan (like the Nexus Orange fan)- 12 units rubber fan mounts for open chassis fan (regular fans)- 12 units rubber gromeets with screws for hard drive mounting- 20 units tie raps (to wrap cables in your PC case)- 4 units rubber feet with adhesive (for your PC case)It's a good product for the PC silent enthusiast. For others, they might skip because of the price... |
First, this comes in a handy little reusable compartmentalized case. Has a bunch of each type of component and works fine for reducing vibrations all around including case feet, fans mounts and screws for device mounts.
