Cons:
no hdmi in, only component and composite in, no dvr option.

Cons:
No HDTV support, only analogue. Oddly arranged input/output plugs. Very light, a little flimsy.

Displays DVD player or analogue TV signals on VGA/DVI LCD monitors. Lots of different resolutions but strangely, no 1920x1080, only 1920x1200.Standard def looks awful on high res LCDs, but the output from a standard DVD player through this is about the same (marginally better?) than VLC/NVidia GeForce 250 from my desktop.The sharpness is variable depending on resolution and aspect ratio. Standard def Anime looks great at 20/20 though; better than on a standard def CRT TV.The on-the-fly one-touch 4:3/16:10 switch on the remote is great for changing between DVD input and TV input.No big difference between VGA and DVI output. This product works as advertised. I only wish it wasn't so expensive. I thought I was saving myself some money by buying LCD monitors instead of TVs....then find out that the game system (PSP2) won't hook up to the LCD monitor without this tuner box. Anyway, the product is great and works well. Kids love it, like I said, my only gripe is the price. |

- atsc tuner, unencrypted QAM support- supports variety of resolutions including HD and widescreen, and old (1024x768).- if you have a monitor lying around and you a TV fanatic, it is a must buy.- easy to program, and stores cable and antenna channels separately (donot overwrite).- tuner is good, scans all channels and gives a good reception.- price was bit high ($189) when I bought it.
