Applied this on my 1st Gen 80Gb PS3 and it has been running excellent. I have my PS3 in a somewhat enclosed Tv stand. Immediately after 4 hours of gaming the fan generally kicks on the high setting. It's been operating cool and the fans have been operating on the low setting. None The compound is a small thicker than other thermal paste. It's not significantly harder to perform with although.

It's working fantastic so far. I used it to install a new Zalman CNPS9700, and I'm currently idling at 22C Ɠ.0Ghz E8400 Core 2 Duo). None so far. The regional shop I bought this at was out of Arctic Silver five, but had this stuff for ŭ.99, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I figured I'd write this so no one particular else is scared off of getting it.

Runs cool. I read so numerous constructive testimonials here so I bought one particular, but perhaps I received a defective a single. Mine was as well dry and thick. It was not possible to smoothly apply it on a cpu. I had to make a few tiny balls out of it and then stick it on the cpu.I utilized up 3ǚ of it already for doing it like that. Soon after all that my AM3 cpu temp is about 30C - 40C so I won't complain any longer. Subsequent time, I will pay a tiny much more price tag and acquire arctic silver. I know it will final longer.

This is a far superior paste than Arctic Silver five. It conducts heat far more properly, DOES NOT conduct electricity, and has virtually no burn-in time.Just adding this paste to your technique will improve your overclock potentials. Least expensive upgrade for any program that I can assume of. It's too cool for school. I saw a 7*C drop in load temps running Prime95 for 30 minutes. I just employed the dot-in-the-middle application system, and the paste spreads itself throughout installation and a couple of Prime95 runs.

I've used this compound in at least 3 various builds, and once it had the time to set in adequately, it dropped the cpu temps by a minimum of three*c, tht's on my phenom2X4955 @@ idle. anyway it's worth the time and the cash, you ought to consder it if you're seeking to do some product testing. quite extended break in time... 300 HOURS but it keeps my cores not only cooler but far more stably cool, the 955 utilised to jump two or 3 degrees occasionally on normal zink tim, with this it at least completely displays each *C. artic silver tends to make top quality goods, just make sure you Study the burn in time and wait for it to give it a excellent burn in test. tbh it ran a bit cooler @ load than the zink on a fresh app, but -1*C prime end and exact same specks otherwise isn't too impressive.

It keeps the cpu from blowing up not positive if it's really considerably much better then stock thermal paste. I ended up obtaining to get a new cpu fan when upgrading and it came with thermal paste, nonetheless applied this since I currently ordered it, but not really confident how significantly greater it would be compared to that stuff. If you don't have any, order this, if you have some already most likly it'll be fine to use.

Wow! Dropped the temp on my stock intel Quad core (Q9450) by 20C Takes 300 hours to cure. (see other thoughts) For me, 300 hours for the thermal compond to remedy was not an issus. I am not a power users. I turn my sys. off at night. If you are a power users. You must turn off your sys, and let cool down to remedy the termal compound. That's 12 half days, but it is worth it!!!

There was adequate to mount the heatsink to the CPU immediately after most of it was squeezed out in shipping. Not sufficient left over to mount additional heatsinks/waterblocks. Wants far better packaging than bubble wrap.

Appears to be functioning good already when paired with my overclocked i7 and Megahalems. Its not cured however and nonetheless is helping hold things at 73 degrees Celsius with an i7 930 at 4.0Ghz! Immediate drop in CPU temps by 8C beneath load and 4C at idle. Straightforward to apply. A tiny goes a extended way. Use less than Arctic Silver five or Ceramique for the same application. I wonder how low temps will go immediately after cure is full. None. Not actually a con, but cure time is around 300 hours. I did a fair quantity of analysis on TIM before I bought this. I am really pleased with the overall performance so far. This is the replacement for Arctic Silver five. Do verify the internet web page for instructions and specs. E6300 two.8GHZ Dual core Pentium. Idle temp dropped from 32C to 28C. Load temp was 56C, now it is 48C. Space temp is usually 26C. Amazing stuff, buy some.

non conductivemore affordable than the very best but still just about as very good. Not even cured yet and in combination with a low cost tower heatsink I'm noticing a huge distinction from stock when below load. curing time? and a lengthy one particular at that I'll make an update immediately after the stuff has gone through it's curing timematrix is no substitute for the best but it's a great affordable option that appears to perform effectively.

This paste performs excellent! I was lucky enough to get one that wasnt leaking when it arrived. Idle temps on my Athlon X3 435 went do Tube was considerably smaller than it looks in the image but hey, it was cheap and i necessary to acquire something to use up the rest of my gift card :P Idle temps on my Athlon X3 435 went down to 22C from 34C on stock cooler. Never ever observed it get more than 39C at full load.

THIS IS NOT a knock against the product, but a knock against Newegg. The item operates excellent. The tube was 1ǘ empty, barely enough for use. Somebody had bubble wrapped the tube only (don't know if it was supposed to come in a package). A superior quantity had squeezed out the back of the tube. It looked as even though it was put in the box as an afterthought.

It performs extremely quite well dropped the temps down drastically on my laptop. Use to run at idle of 49c now down to 43c and at full load its barely more than 50, running at 53c use to run over 60 and push larger None seriously. Truly angry at how I received it. Tube was literally leaking in the envelope and the tube was fairly much empty. I had just enough to use it on the Laptop CPU when I go it intending it to use it on 2 and have some left more than.

works better than I believed it would and it's fairly low cost for how effectively it operatesNon conductive, so that tends to make it protected to place on every little thing I get the impression it could "cook" and turn into dry flakes with tiny work on my end.cap comes off simply sufficient to lose it I've got this burned in on a 89w processor and heatsink with 6 pipes and 90mm push configuration. ambient cpu temp normally idles about 24-26 based on space temperature.obviously results will vary based on your setup but this stuff is pretty conductive, even though I don't assume I'd use it for a stock 130w+ chip or a lot more if i was organizing to overclock, but I'm just paranoid.

New tech for new tech, and a nice cost, as well.Even though I'm a lengthy time Arctic Silver 5 user, this one particular is far better for a heatsink with no a flat make contact with surface. Got a new "Heat-Pipe-Direct-Touch" heatsink? This is your new Arctic Silver to go with it. Understanding curve: I believed I knew how to apply TIM, but I had to read and re-study for this one. Anticipate to take your time.Curing time. Not an concern unless you have to hit max overclock suitable away. Functions nicely when freshly applied for the rest of us. On an AMD CPU, I ended up utilizing a five dot application with four in a square and 1 in the middle. Then (horror!) slide the heatsink about a tiny prior to tightening to fill in the gaps. I was shocked by how simply it slides sideways -- that should be the thixotropic aspect. I know, I know, but it operates great.
