Cons: No extra labels provided

Pros: Works really wellKnotch making it safe to stack... high :-)
Protection storage case I really like to use with 3.5in drives for backups to put in safe, car, anywhere! Make sure you encrypt them first. I use WD Cavair Green and they work like a charm.

Cons: Not quite sure about the shock and water resistant

Pros: Hard CaseHard drive doesn't move around inside while it is closedBetter than wrapping your hard drive on anti-static plastic
Storing my harddrives are alot easier with these. If you got one of those Thermaltake hard drive docking stations, and have your hard drives swap here and there, these enclosures(protector) are the best bet for protecting them when they're not in use, compared to wrapping your hard drive on just the anti static bag.

Cons: No water proof,Very cheap design does not offer a good protection

Pros: Good price if rebate
I got the box for casual HDD trasport. I know it's not the best but I was expecting more. I find the box offers protection if you want to store the HDD on a shelf ans that's it. I don't have confidence it would absorb any shock or get wet if in case of water splashes.

Cons: None found yet

Pros: Low price when PM'd
PM'd to barely over a toonie, these are great little cases to help protect hard drives. I use hard drives and a dock to manage my backups. These cases ensure that when I take my hard drives offsite, they have a bit more protection.

Cons: could be slightly larger to accomodate a drive within antistatic bag; hinge likely to break down

Pros: Does what it is supposed to do
Bought this with a Seagate HD at discount price. At full price I would not be a buyer. This case does what it's supposed to do, which is to protect from dust. reminds me a bit of the old plastic cases for VHS tapes. Hinge could be sturdier.

Cons: - Not worth more than $2 (ideally these should cost $0.99)- Doubt it will protect from a fall

Pros: - Better than nothing to protect a hard drive- Comes all labelled up
Bought these just to put some dust protection for my hard drive. I am not sure on the water protection but I don't think it will. I also doubt it will protect from a fall. Even if the case doesn't break, the shock will definitely transfer to the hard drive. There is foam but strangely it is only on the top which is meant to put pressure on the drive to prevent it from moving. They should of really put at least another on the bottom so that you can slide it down safer. Ideally, foam all around or rubber outside the case to protect from shock. But to protect a hard drive to just put on the shelf for storage, these will do fine. It should protect from dust and humidity (two of main issues). Just still move it around carefully.

Cons: None so far if it is free

Pros: Free gift from purchase
I got it for free with the MWestern Digital WD20EARS Caviar Green 2TB SATA2 3Gbps 64MB Cache 3.5IN Hard Drive OEM. works very well. nothing to complain if it is free.

Cons: -Some concerns over the hing, it is just plastic

Pros: +Better then stacking bare drives.+Cheap on sale.
This was on sale. How could I say no. I will get some more, since they are a much cleaner way to store my unused drives. They are just plastic boxes with some foam on one side to help the drive not rattle in the case, but they work well.

Cons: not worth more than $5no way it's water prooflid hinge of questionable quality

Pros: sale price of $4 a good dealgreat way to store drivesfoam in lid keeps drive firmly in place
I give this 3.5 stars. As a $4 add-on to a hdd purchase these are a great deal, but not worth much more. The flexible joint on the lid looks pretty thin, don't know how many open/close I'll get. As other reviewers have said, no apparent water-proof seal. makes me question the anti-static claim, but it's better than the bare drive sitting on a shelf (of which, I have way too many)

Cons: Hinge is plastic

Pros: Hard plastic case, shock absorbtion foam, fits full size drives, stackable
This came at a discounted price with a hard drive, and it's a decent product overall. There are still some issues that prevent me from giving this 5 stars.First off, I have concerns over the hinge on the box. Since everything is plastic, the hinge is plastic too. My worry is that after repeated opening and closing that the hinge will weaken and break. Without the hinge the box is useless, since the foam inside presses against the drive. So the hinge is essential. I'd suggest this box would be fine for archival purposes, but not for daily usage - not if you expect it to last. For something you want to keep dust free to pull out on occasion, it should be ideal. Lastly, while the product is advertised as protecting against water, it should be noted that the case is water-resistant, but not air tight. There is no seal on it, so while it would protect against water splashed on it, should it be immersed underwater it will leak. (I even tested it in the sink, and yes it did take on water when submersed, and with a drive inside it doesn't float either.)Otherwise it's a decent case.

Cons: None

Pros: Good build qualityStackable
Solid build quality and looks like it could last for a long time. Aside from being stackable, the inside of the case's lid has a soft rectangular buffer which will press against the hard drive when it's close to prevent the HD from wobbling inside.

Cons: no cons, I mean, its a plastic case ...

Pros: -Securely store harddrive
It does what its supposed to, its a case.I use it to store my harddrive when im not using it.Its tight so that nothing can get in there while its closed.

Review Date: 08/20/11
Cons: None

Pros: Look great and good quality
Great value when on sale for $5. I will buy more at a later date. I like that they can be stacked and don't slide around. The drives fit perfect in them. The quality of the plastic seems to be of good quality and should last.

Review Date: 08/19/11
Cons: price

Pros: well thought for stable stacking
At standard price these are not worth it but they were heavily discounted with the purchase of a hard disk so I gave it a try. The relief on the external surface makes them well stackable and they definitely provide more protection than carrying the bare drive around. Other than that, it is just a plastic box. Not sure about the water/moisture claims. There is no trace of o-ring style seal of more rugged solution.

Review Date: 08/17/11
Cons: Questionable hinge longevityQuestion effectiveness of buckle latch

Pros: Very durable plastic
I only just received it so you will be getting my initial impressions. The case appears to do a nice job of protecting a hard drive from what I can tell. I'm not going to purposely shake a hard drive while in the case so I'll update  this should anything ever happen through regular use. I kind of wish the hinge was made out of metal instead. It seems like it will wear with time (to the point of snapping off). For a similar reason, I also question the buckle latch. I guess you get what you paid for as this is an all plastic design (apart from the foam they insert  inside to act as a dampener).I don't have other hard drive protectors so I don't really know what the norm is for these things.
