I normally wait to write testimonials for a couple of months. For the casual gamer, HD or BluRay films, surfing the net, watching online videos. It runs cool idle 21C load 35C max I've observed, Low energy consumption, good heat sink & drivers are the bomb!Was so impressed that my brother bought one. MSI, Nvidia, Newegg & UPS thank you! Nvidia has won me back. Black & Red would like to have black & blue. No cons.. I bought this for a multimedia build and wow. Was watching a movie, had my three fantasy FB teams up & messenger going. It didn't even have a hickup & the temps! I personal a GTX 460 in my gaming rig & had a 5770 in this rig. Grrr main driver errors & heat idled at 38C now none. I did try playing Metro 2033 it had a tiny shutter & lag reduced demanding games will be fine. Can be unlocked to work with Premiere CS5.My Windows Experience number went up (as if I care). Didn't make much distinction utilizing this card for Premier CS5 vs my ATI 3600. Often has digital snow on left monitor (when *not* overclocked) that calls for use of overclock utility to clear up.The overclock utility is totally horrible. It enables to present OC on boot, which is fantastic, but if you've enabled the "on boot" solution and the OC is also significantly and locks your Pc upon OC, there is no recovery approach. The only fix is to go into secure mode and eliminate the OC application. Mine worked for a few days with an OC setting, so I set the "on boot" choice and it was fine for a few days but then decided it didn't like that any far more and that is when I discovered of this challenge. I do not propose this card for Premier CS5 even though it can be unlocked to operate with the Mercury engine. This is not truly an concern with the card as considerably as it is with Adobe hyping the Mercury engine (CUDA) which in reality supplies only miniscule improvements. Upgraded this from a 9500GT, totally blows it out of the water. I'm rather pleased with the functionality gain, but, understandably, there is a limit to what this card can do. (Even if that limit is operating most DX 9 and DX 10 games at 22" full res ultra higher excellent);) Noise. This card is annoyingly loud when under load. Thankfully during normal usage it's almost silent (as most of my Pc is), on the other hand when in a game or below any load whatsoever it will kick on to a greater RPM and you will promptly notice it. I wasn't expecting it to run quiet all the time, but, nevertheless, minimal noise is important to me.As I'm sitting here listening to it suitable now I'm wondering how a lot very good a different cooler would do... but I already maxed out what I was willing to spend on this card. Aesthetically, the cover isn't as good as some other 450 series cards, but, it works for what it does.I got it on a discount so I'm fairly pleased with it. |

It plays Civ V dx11 at max settings @ 1366X768 with no problems. At 1080p it stutters a small bit when scrolling involving turns. It's the loudest component in my personal computer. Can't beat it.If you are a casual gamer ... this is a great acquire!I run Half Life 2 at 1280x1024 with almost everything on MAX ... runs liquid smooth. The card (in tandem with my program) scored over 16,000 on 3d mark06. Handles ALL of my Games on the highest settings.Looks Fantastic, Performs Fantastic. Created me realize I want a New Pc to hold up with it!It's Huge! (Fit Fine, but nonetheless Big) I bought it to give my old Athlon 4000+ process a small much more life, with my games. Wanted to run STO but my old Geforce 7900GT just didn't rather cut it. This card is good, I built a new program with it. I have a GTX250 and GTX9800 and this card performs greater than either a single of my other ones. Played a ton of games on it, such as BFBC2, COD4, Mass Effect, Killing Floor, FNV, FF14, and so forth.. with settings maxed out- no glitches! Runs cool, fits in a mid tower no problem. It's a tiny shorter than my other 2 cards (GTX250 & GTX9800). I'm a gamer and a CAD draftsman, it worked fantastic with almost everything I threw at it! Thanks MSI and Newegg!! It's not a time machine! LOL If you are looking for an amazing card and don't want to devote 赨+ then get this card, it'll deal with something you throw at it! Get it! |

Incredibly great card, loved the design should what mainly attracted me is the price and clock speeds. I purchased it when there had been no testimonials at all and wasn't confident about it at very first but the additional I researched, the far more I leaned to GTS 450. I had HD 5670 at initial but returned it as it arrived DOA and wanted to purchase HD 5770 but was out of my price range and this MSI GTS 450 with rebate was the perfect choice. Also it was packed truly nice. I don't have any cons however, although I noticed when I ran 3DMark Vantage the fan was at complete speed and was a bit loud given that my whole computer system is truly quiet. Other than that it is nice. For the price tag, I believe this is the ideal get I've ever produced (video card smart) and actually happy for now. On image it looks small, but when I got it, it was bigger than I anticipated. At idle, it is dead silent, when playing games like STALKER or Medal Of Honor, you can hear the fan a bit (its big). |

Bought this card for my spending budget build to manage WoW and Starcraft two at ultra settings. It did not disappoint. Obtaining a stable 60 fps in WoW running DX11 while sitting in high-site visitors places like Orgrimmar. Card is incredibly big and blocks 1 of my PCI ports, but I knew it was this massive ahead of time and have no plans to use that port anyway. MSI approved my rebate. I figured I would point that out as MSI's rebate plan has been below fire for really some time. |

This card seems to be fairly great, the core is more rapidly than the other 450 cards. It overclocks extremely quickly and the msi program is a really nice utility. The card isn't fantastic seeking but I suppose it gets the job carried out For the cost it's really not worth it and now I'm referring my obtain. Increased both overall FPS and Futuremark 3D scores substantially from my old 9800GT. Does not vent hot air out the back of the Pc case like other other cards. Not a large deal of you have excellent case cooling. Captain Crunch is the greatest cereal. |

Good cost. Great looks. Good performance. -None- Purchased this for Black Ops and it runs it nicely. I had to get this card immediately after my 8800 GTX died. On 64-bit Windows 7, the Gaming Graphics score went from 6.9 with the 8800 GTX to 7.1 with this card.Hope MSI comes via with the rebate. |

An an early Christmas present I just received and put this into my computer. I also from NewEgg.com bought a OCZ Fatal1ty OCZ550FTY 550W power supply to power this video card and take it from me this card IS Remarkable. I am coming from a GeForce 9500 GT which ran WoW at a solid 30 FPS with settings no greater than HIGH and shadows and light etc turned off. Now, I have each setting in WoW set to ULTRA (the hightest setting) Anti-Aliasing maxxed (I think 8x), basicallly, if I could turn it up I did. If you have not played Globe of Warcraft with the video settings maxxed out AND WITH DIRECTX 11 enabled then you are missing a huge portion of the game. My rig:Intel Q66002 x Mushkin Enhanced 2GB (from NewEgg.com)Windows 7 Specialist 32-bit1 factor to note. TOMSHARDWARE.COM gave this card a non-favorable assessment (except for the SLI portion). I believe TOMS may possibly have been a little harsh. I am planning on buying an ASUS SLI-enabled motherboard and one more 1 of these video cards so -The hot air from the enormous heat sink is not blown out of the case-Possibly they all are, but this card is freaking enormous. With the card in I can\'t add/remove any RAM because they are proper up against the leading of the card-I had to get a new power supply to even use this card-Despite the fact that the Nvidia driver worked perfectly on my Windows 7 OS I think the devices in my Device Manager doubled. Nice software bundle, Extremely good card for the money. This point runs at 22c idle compared to the HD 4850 it replaced at 48c idle!! But i have a roomy case also.Overall performance is really nice. In L4D2 i get 80-85 fps and following i installed afterburner it got 90fps. In TF2 it bounced from 90-120fps with overclocking in afterburner. The hottest i noticed this card get was 32c! yes i did turn up the fan a bit but not a lot. Makes use of so tiny energy compared to that old 4850 beast. When i got residence from operate it didn't have my dinner prepared. I got sick of my older 4850 running so dang hot and working with also much energy. I was deciding on a 430 gts at Best Bu... A large box store until i saw this for the similar value with cool software. Was a no brainier soon after that.
