Cons: Had to RMA after 4 months

Pros: Great mid-range card for the games I playWas a good card while it lasted.update  - RMA with MSI seems to be going well, so not a big deal that the card died. MSI Webpage shows replacement has been shipped.
Comment:
Worked great for 4 months. Purchased it to replace a 5770.Suddenly after between 3 and 4 months of use my system became unstable with graphics glitches. Sometimes the driver would "restart and recover" but eventually the system would crash completely.Did a fresh Win 7 Pro install and installed a new power supply but same symptoms. My old 5770 working fine while I wait for replacement.Overall I am still pleased with the card and with the RMA service from MSI. This review was modfied by poster @ 08-25-11 01:23 PM

Cons: - Price is still a bit high, pick it up when it's on sale.

Pros: - Awesome performance.- Great overclocking capability.- Efficient cooling.
Comment:
This is a great card, I picked it up after my EVGA card died on me and I needed a replacement right away. It was on sale so I jumped at it quick, and I'm glad I did. The overclocking capability on this card is great -- you can push it quite far if that's your sort of thing. I've been gaming for over 6 hours now and it's only a little warm to the touch.I'm averaging over 100 FPS in WoW, with all graphics absolutely maxed out. In the most extreme battles with hundreds of players nearby, it sinks to around 35 FPS, which is still pretty amazing to me. Haven't tried any other games on it yet, but I've got high expectations. Definitely recommending this card if it's on sale.

Cons: - $250 is way overpriced on NCIX- Rarely goes on sale, while the 756MB 192 bits version can be bought below $150 almost all the time- Bad reputation for MIR

Pros: - High quality card, possibly the best brand for 460, overclocking beast- The 1GB 256 bits memory makes this card far superior than the 756MB 192 bits version
Comment:
Awesome card. However I still feel the price is a bit high (even thought I got mine for $180). Cyclone is a really good cooling design so if this card goes on sale don't hesitate to pull the trigger.

Some personal real world data for anyone looking for a midrange card. I've had this card for 5 months now OCed to core 850 MHzshader 1700 MHzmemory 2000 MHZMy max temp reached with 99% gpu core load was 65C with a fan speed running 65%. Some games played are BFBC2, COD Black Ops, and Tropico3. I want to get another not for video performance as much as I want to take some of the load off of my cpu. All these games have all four cores of my 920 running at 99%.CM 922 HAFPC Silencer 750W PSUGigabyte GA-X58-UD3RIntel i7-920 OCk3.2GHz Corsair H50 push-pull6GB Corsair XMS3-1600C9KrazeMaster fan controllerMSI GForce GTX 460 OCk850MHz

Blown away by the oc'ing ability of this card. Amazing bang for your buck. I am currently pushing the core to 900 and on full load using Furmark I have only seen it get as warm as 76'in my old case which does not have the greatest airflow at the moment.I am getting scores not that far off from a stock 480 for a fraction of the price.

Great card for the price. After reading about the various brands out there, I selected the MSI card. EVGA has a great lifetime warranty on some of their cards, MSI has a 3 yr warranty. You'll probably upgrade in 3 yrs time anyways.I wanted a card that was quiet. So I stayed away from the EE ones (EVGA). On load, you can barely hear the fan.Afterburner software it comes with is easy to use. After 10 minutes of playing around with the settings, I was able to bump the GPU clock to 850 MHz, Shader to 1700 and Mem clock to 1800 Mhz with a voltage of between 985 to 1000 mV (I left my voltage at 987 mV). Currently sitting at 45 degrees idle with two monitors plugged in.Overall I'm very happy with this purchase and would buy it again without a second thought. Upgraded from a 8800 GT, noticeable difference.

Cons: -Warranty isn't as good as the lifetime ones out there.

Pros: -Quiet-Performs on par w/ 6870 when OCed-Nvidia drivers
Comment:
So I had a really rough time deciding which video card to get before I finally made the decision that the Price/Performance increase of the 6870 was not worth it over an OCed 460gtx.Out of all of the reviews I've looked at a 460gtx OCed to 850 will beat the 6870 in most cases so a 50$ increase in price over this card is not justifiable. This card is a beast. It's quiet and first time using it I OCed it without issues to 825 on stock voltage (msi afterburner). I can probably push it higher but there is no need for that much performance atm since I only play SC2 and WoW. Btw... HUGE upgrade over my 8800gts (512).If you are having a hard time deciding which card you should be getting, get the 6870 only if you plan to run crossfire. But for a single card solution definitely go with this card.

Cons: my cpu has now become the bottleneck :P

Pros: quiet, great upgrade over my old 7600GT
Comment:
It is quite quiet in a case that doesn't have great soundproofing qualities. I can't give accurate testing results because my cpu is now limiting my framerates, and what games I can actually run. I will look to buy another to SLI sometime in the future.

Great card! Using MSI afterburner (comes with it but you can download it as well) I was able to achieve an overclock of 825mhz clock speed and 1900mhz memory on stock voltage. Running kombustor hit 70 degrees which is pretty decent. It can run most games today in high to ultra settings which is great for casual gamers who want in on great graphics but hesistant to spend over 300 bucks for a video card.I highly recommend this. Even though it is factory overclocked already it leaves much more room for further oc'ing.
