I purchased two of these for SLI. Do not get this card unless your Mobo supports direct voltage manage to the video card. The outcome of not possessing direct voltage control playing highend games will be continuous crashes. If you have a Mobo that gives you direct voltage control then you will adore this card as you can simply up the voltage when operating high end games like Crysis, Crysis Warhead/Wars and Crysis 2 above 1280 x 1024 max settings. Stock voltage is 1.00, when operating Crysis Wars or Warhead I would get continuous crashes. So I upped the voltage to 1.05 (Afterburner setting 1050) and the crashing stopped with the out of box stock settings. I have OCed these card to Core Clock 915 Shader 1830 and Mem Clock to 2225 with Core Voltage at 1.1 ) which I dont believe I required to go that high. Ran Crysis two, 3DMark Vantage, and 3DMark 11 effectively without any crashes. The key to this card is to have direct control more than voltage to the video card They run seriously hot. Make positive to have a Complete Tower case for this issue to breath. Idle temps are 34c - 37c, complete load temps are 80c-86c. I am confident you can get these temps way down on H2O cooling. This card replaces, two quadro FX 4600s which are beneficial cards, for CAD operate, but not for gaming. I ran crysis on these cards, but at the low 12-15 FPS.This card gave me a lot of trouble when I initially installed it. Though it was fine for my 1900 x 1200 show setting, it crashed on any games such as crysis and just lead to 2. Thanks to Renegades evaluation which integrated the answer, of manually setting GPU voltage to 1.1v everything is now fine. I in no way ran across this resolution on any forums in three weeks of looking.My card now runs Crysis at 60 FPS and 79 deg C. Every thing maxed out and eye-catching. I now feel confident I can commit the added money to invest in Crysis 2. MSI will need to have been knowledgable about this vital voltage modification. I would adore to have given it five stars.My MB is a Gigabyte and I copmpared their 580 to MSIs. I would have purchased theirs, but I had highly negative experiences with their consumer service. I decided to attempt MSI and even though I am not impressed with their cusomer service, I don't uncover it to be crippled like Gigabytes. Runs cool if you only want to have one particular graphics card. Crashes. Also if you try to run these in SLI, they speedily overheat and throttle down. Eats up jsut about every gameAt low fan setting this is really quietStays quite cool Exhausts air back into the caseIf you go SLI your leading card will be about 40000 degrees hotter than the bottome card given that it just takes hot air off the bottom, heats it up additional and then sucks that hot air back in once again. What can I say. I'm really pleased with this card. Runs anything that I throw at it. The only weird factor that I can think of to add right here is that this card is advertised with a core clock of 800 and mine appears to be 822... Not seriously a con but it is funny that the advertised clock speed is reduce than the actual. I've had this card for a while now and I've been keeping an eye on it right here at Newegg and so far they haven't altered the spec. Acquiring another a single of these to run in 2-way SLI. The card looks good, uncomplicated install. I've read that the card gets hot, but it hasn't in my case as of however. A lot quieter then my 280's in SLI. Screen freezes although playing Aion, have to hit the commence button to get me off the game then hit the game once again, all of a sudden the game isn't frozen any longer. The MSI afterburner Cd that came with my card is corrupted. Was hoping to repair the troubles I am getting with that Cd. This is the second MSI prodeuct I have purchased, and it is the second time I've had issues with their item. Debating on sending back and altering to one more businesses brand. Not certain if that will be a fix though. Not going to send back to MSI due to the fact they will charge you and send you either a utilised 1 or a refurbished item that is the identical. Cooling on this card is Exellent! I had a GTX 580 ref card that ran 41-45c.This Runs on idle 31c -33c,underload,If Iam playing crysis two on max 47c!And the MSI as avertised game overclocked to 800mhz. You get what you spend for so price well,Lets just say this issues a beast. Their genuinely not much this thing cant handle.Crysis two on max setting gets 45fps not messing with voltage setting or any others! Oh yah I genuinely believed this one over if your thinking about getting a GTX 590,well feel about it that card has two of the similar gf110 gpu in it so Heat can only be defused so rapid.As where two GTX 580 you got two fans two every Gpu! |

The card alone is a beast, Ran a couple of benchmarks and this card just eats almost everything i throw at it alive. It came Factory overclocked @ 800mhz and the factor runs cool and quiet at just under 40 on idle. I don't program on performing it now but i can just see that there's a lot of room for overclocking in the future. I was hoping it would have came with the mini HDMI to HDMI adapter as i have a 12ft long HDMI connected to my Television. guess ill have to acquire the adapter elsewhere...and i guess cost but that would be expected I was torn among buying this or purchasing the EVGA 580 for its lifetime warranty, To be honest immediately after playing around with this card im pleased to say that i do not regret this decision and i would absolutely suggest this card to any person |

I had EVGA GTX 580 SC and returned it to get this, what a difference!!!This card appears superior, runs cooler and quieter.Idle 36c load 70c at 70% fan speed compaired to EVGA idle 42c load 78c at 85% fan speed.Card is factory clocked at 823Mhz but u can easly push it over 850Mhz not even touching the voltage.Possibly it doesnt run 19c cooler as advertised or who knows if u let the fan run at 85%Point is at 70% fan speed its actually nice and quiet!!! Only I can consider of is 3 years warranty wheres EVGA provides lifetime.
