This a great small budget create board. Lot's of functions for low cost. DDR3 or DDR2 a plus+. Can't seem to get the power button LED's to function, but not a massive deal worth losing a point.

-Unlocks cpus-Has an unusual amount of selections for overclocking at this price tag point-DDR2Ǚ assistance-Layout is clean and effectively thought out-Bios is effortless, and feature wealthy-To every single his/her personal, the colour scheme appears excellent -95 watt tdp (not a huge deal for me=Sempron 140) I was capable to take this motherboard, along with a sempron 140 and unlock it to a athlon 4400e. And on best of that I overclocked each cores to 3.65ghz. Also this is weird, but I was in a position to take the difficult drive from the old computer and it booted windows 7 on this motherboard without having obtaining to reinstall it. It was an old Ecs mobo. Planets need to have been aligned, dont count on this from other motherboards.

So it's a nice lil motherboard. Mainly because ASrock was so good to make a price range friendly board I was in a position to take that leap to an AM3 processor and DDR3 memory devoid of fear. none. If you expect more then pay more. This mobo is completely priced and if you expect additional for the same cost then you're naive. Was scared to attempt ASrock but genuinely not disappointed with this motherboard in any way, shape, or form. Some individuals didn't like the placement of issues but anything reached fine for me.

Pros: Board is tinyPerformance just like any other moboGreat instructionsfour SATA PortsIESAsrock Instant Boot is fantastic Cons (Other than listed):If you have a massive graphics card which extends previous the PCI-E slot, the SATA cables may well be an obstacle.Sadly can not overclock and use AMD Cool n' Quiet Great motherboard for the price tag. I've generally purchased Asrock boards for my personal computers, ever since my initially K7S8X (Running powerful right after 7 years), Asrock has usually been excellent to me!

had almost everything I required on a price range friendly board I can't think of any ok, so maybe not the ideal I EVER bought but the finest I ever purchased for ฿.unlocking and overclocking attributes are exciting. BIOS is loaded with alternatives, it'll take some time to figure them all out

Great price for DDR3 and AM3 mobo. Onboard graphics performs effectively. Drivers on the included CD worked properly.Runs dual monitors well with a single vga monitor on onboard graphics and the other on a NVIDIA 8400GS. The only minor items would be it just has a PCIe x16 it isn't two. which isn't a massive deal for me the Galaxy GeForce 8400 GS 512MB works effectively. The other point to keep in thoughts is there are only two DDR3 slots not any challenge even though if you are going with 2x2GB DIMMs or 2x4GB DIMMs.

Updating on how the board is handling itself.Certainly it hasn't gotten any greater. Occationally doesn't connect some of the USB peripherals and the DVI connector by way of the video card. It's annoying adequate to knock off an egg, but not two.I've confirmed the video card and the monitor are not the issues with other boards/pc configs. Still a good small mobo that's going strong for a couple of months now. It was low-cost and works. Didn't will need significantly additional.

Low cost, has all the attributes a single could want except GHz networking. Purchased to replace an older ASUS board in a residence theater Pc that would not upgrade to Windows7. Operates fantastic with superior video card. None so far - it's what I expected I really can't realize why a single would want to get this inexpensive a board and expect to more than-clock it properly but then I seriously don't care to abuse my equipment like that anyway.

the upgradeability of this mobo is outstanding. i bought this mobo for my mother-in-law's comp develop. very good upgradeability if you have a old am2/am2+ prosseser laying around w/ some ddr2. you can then get a am3 prosseser/ddr3 ram later and do some upgrading only issue that i discovered that didnt perform adequately was that it wont choose up both the ide hdd and cd-rw player at the similar time will read either or if each are plugged in rather annoying but if you don't have each a hdd and cd player that use ide than this would not be a challenge for you

The board can use DDR2 or DDR3. With the transition from DDR2 to DDR3 right now that's a good flexibility to have. This has been a good dependable board. I've utilised four of them so far in builds and they operate excellent. Onboard graphics suck, but that's the way it is with the nVidia 7025. Fine for everyday stuff although (internet, word processing, low-essential internet games) which is what the Pc's I create with this board are meant to do. I've had mixed final results with ASRock in the past, particularly some of their 785G chipset boards. But I retain comming back to this board due to the fact it's been rock strong for me and is extremely reasonably priced.

Supports up to six cores, but also old Athlon x2.Comes with SATA cables.Effortless to set up. Misleading specifications - it is stated that it supports 4x memory modules, but the truth is that it supports 2xDDR2 OR 2XDDR3 = Only two modules at a time.PCIexpressx16 slot is too close to PCI slots so with some Video cards 1 of PCI clots will be unusable.Last PCI slot also could be problematic if you use front panel audio connectors the connector is too close. Bought as replacement of old AMD x2 board - Worked flawlessly.

Has each imaginable solution you can think of to adjust the speed and voltages of your cpu, chipset, ram etc.... The UCC function is neat if you have a processor with an unlockable, hidden core(s) only supports cpu's up to 95w so that limits your possibilities a bit For the value, makes a great board for a spending budget performer.

it does function (see other thoughts). onboard video, compatible with G ability 1333 4g memory. more quickly sata connection than my last motherboard. I do believe it mentions a 1000MB lan connection, i assume it says it caps at 100 (dont hold me to it, i didnt spend that substantially consideration) well most of the cons you can see when you look at the image ( the odd P4 plug location, the FDD plug placement) but only con that matters to me is the lame tech assistance, they responded quickly but they wanted to rma it just about instantly. i posted a bit back stating my troubles with the board, and primarily the technical support department of asrock. they never ever seriously helped, but i figured out a answer sooner or later. I saw that some persons believed they had to reformat the HDD to make a new motherboard function with their computer systems, ive never had this challenge, but seeing as i had to attempt some thing I gave it a attempt, i did inside the new machine and now it works fine.

Value, ddr2 or 3, solution nicely packaged. Becoming used as a test bench, total hours on my board aren't that a lot, but it has already seen a substantial quantity of drive/cpu/ram/os combinations. BIOS overclocking appears reasonably basic. No AHCI mode. Only two usb ports, can get difficult for a setup like mine with no case. I need to have to salvage some ports at some point. Updated the bios prior to I did anything else. I purchased this specifically for a test bench setup I got from high speed computer. this board was that last piece I needed to make a functional laptop out of components I had lying around. The cost was what caught my eye first, and the ddr2 compatibility is great for shuffling parts around. This was my initial ASRock board and I may possibly use them for my next create.

This is a single of the most inexpensive boards on newegg (or anywhere), but it has several characteristics you would expect to locate only on larger finish boards. Overclocking is uncomplicated, and, if you get fortunate, you can unlock a core very easily, too. As other reviewers remarked, there's legacy help for fdd, pata and psǘ. I'm not certain I'd place a 6 core cpu on a budget board, but, when combined with a Sempron 140 and four GB of PC3 12800 Geil Value memory, this was a cheap create for "everyday" computing. The Sempron 140 didn't unlock to a steady second core, but I doubt if it's the board's fault. With Windows 7 32 bit, and 20% overclocking, it scored: four.9 Processor, 7.1 Memory, 3.eight Graphics, three.3 Gaming Graphics, and five.9 Major challenging disk. So it's not a gaming machine with the on-board NVIDIA GeForce 7025, but who was expecting it to be?

Very cheap and flexible. Originally purchased board due to the fact of price and had unused cpu. First construct I used an athlon X2 5200 with ddr2 and installed XP Pro w/ sp3. No troubles but wanted to use ddr3 and ucc attributes, so switched to X3 Rana and A-Information ddr3 1600g( see review of memory). Bios modifications with AM3 socket cpu and was in a position to unlock 4th core but initially had complications with memory at 1600 not booting. Remembered that I had set occ to optimum in bios and changed NB to 200 from 210. Now running memory at 803.7 and x4 at 3114.5. Temps 31cXP ProAMD Athlon X3 Rana 3100A-Data XPG DDR3 1600gtwo DVR ide two HD sata 3,6 4th core doesn't often boot and floppy not seeing disks. AOD will not run in XP on this board but does run on 780HD board even with AMD2 socket cpu. Read book cautiously, DDR3 and Ucc will only function if you put in an AMD3 cpu. Timings for DDR3 are 9-9-9-24-33 and 2T at 1.67v. Have not checked sata 6gb drive but. Boot is quicker that ASRock 780HD board but haven't completed installing all my programs but. Up grading to WIN7 next week, will report on practical experience. Purchased everything at Newegg, like WIN7, at ridiculous rates. Please cease these sales! Hadn't planned to purchase anything but couldn't resist. For those who had complications with board read evaluations, good information available on board and memory. I read most of reviews before writing this and I believe I experienced comparable complications, but realized that they were brought on by me not the board. Read the book very carefully!!

It works. It does have some characteristics that aren't expected in this price tag realm. Great tweaking and unlocking abilities. Restricted rear IO ports. Restricted warranty. I thought that the 4 dimms slots could be utilised for either ddr3 or ddr2 and not 2 dimms for ddr2 and 2 dimms for ddr3... which can't be employed simultaneously. My mistake for not realizing it, hence no stars docked.

Looks like it may well a be a fantastic motherboard for a affordable develop. Low expense. Doesn't operate with windows vista 64, blue screens, windows xp operates fine, havent tried windows 7. I in all probability wont return, because I don't want one more 1. Tech assistance was fast receiving back to me with the difficulty, since this was a new construct I just decided to put in a foxconn motherboard that I had and all of my other parts seam to work fine, Tech assistance wanted me to flash my bios, but I need windows loaded prior to I can get on the internet, users know that you cant commence windows vista 64 in safe mode when it tries to run for the 1st time. I have built about 100 computers and this is the very first time I have ever observed a motherboard result in a blue screen!!!

Can use DDR2 and DDR3 memory, but not at the very same time, enabling for straightforward future upgrades. I didn't have any issues with the layout of the board and I like the truth that the pci express 1x slot is above the 16x slot, my old asus board was reversed and the video card covered the 1x slot. Not a accurate AM3 board but who cares for under 50 dollars and most people today wont see the performance reduce. Only supports 95 watt processors. Doesn't look like a dilemma but older AMD quad's run at 125 which this board wont assistance. For the price tag, a fantastic board. This isn't a major of the line gaming board but is good for basic use. I would acquire another and advise it to other folks. The built in core unlocking is yet another good function that is usually only discovered on much more high priced products.
