Great mouse at a great value.Wanted to give this mouse a try because it was on sale and I have to say that it is the best mouse I have used. The mouse feels great to hold and the customizable led lights and buttons are a nice little addition. Currently using this mouse on the steelseries 4hd gaming mouse pad and it works perfectly. Definitely recommend this mouse to any gamer.

Well hello there Mionix! you've been branded my new favorite mouse! I was on the hunt for a good mouse for casual gaming but also very comfortable to handle long working hours (CAD drafting) and I FINALLY stumbled upon this guy after testing and returning many other mice from unmentioned big box stores. such mice included the Microsoft comfort mouse 6000, the Logitech G400, the Logitech M500, some random tiny Microsoft laptop mouse.First off, to me this mouse is extremely comfortable! it has positions for all 5 fingers to perfectly rest on the mouse (it reminds me of my old OCZ Behemoth mouse). Also, all the buttons easily click without much force and the scroll wheel has good click feedback. The feet on the mouse also make it effortlessly glide across my desk top. in terms of optical precision, I haven't experienced any defects or weird issues. I've played a few FPS games and the optical sensor is keeping up with me.Many reviews or other people will suggest this mouse lacks optimization, but it was never designed to have them. if someone wants more customization like completely adjustable DPI, weights, etc..., then the Mionix Naos 5000 is available for them. but for what this mouse has, it does very well.

Cons: - Software problems- 3 step dpi

Pros: - Great ergonomics- Smooth rubber coating- Decent DPI
Comment:
- Great mouse for it's price- Great for casual gamers, decent dpi settings (only 3 steps though: 800, 1600, 3200)- Has the usual braided cable and gold plated usb- One thing to note is that the colours of the mouse are limited to the green, red and blue - unlike the 5000 counterpart- The rubber coating is nice and smooth - but careful what you get on it, as it may be hard to remove sticky substances- The ergonomics are great, but depending on your hand size, it may not work for you (my hand is a bit big, but still fits nicely)- As for games, it can work great for fps as well as other rpg/mmo or moba type games - just keep in mind for whatever games you use it for, that there are only 2 additional buttons that you would be able to assign commands to.- The software currently crashes every time i try to exit, thus not saving any changes made. I am aware of one other user with the same problem, and reinstalling the drivers has not helped. Though this is not a big issue for me, it is definitely something to keep in mind ( you wouldn't be able to change button commands as well as the colour for the dpi steps)- Testing the steelseries ikari and this mouse, i definitely enjoy the naos (also, the pinky rest helps a lot)- Anyone with the extra money, i would definitely recommend going with the 5000 model. I myself would have, as i do miss some of the features the 5000 model has.

Cons: Cannot customize DPI SettingsNo weights (Not a con to me though)No profiles ( Again, not a big deal to me)

Comment:
For its price point, you are getting a very simple but effective design. There is no fancy stuff here such as onboard memory, weights, tilt wheel or an insane amount of buttons. I like this mouse for a various reasons that all manufacturers seem to have forgotten. First is the scroll wheel, there is no tilt function, making middle clicking a breeze, just push it and it click with ease. The scroll wheel can be somewhat stiff when you first open it but it will break in eventually, also there is no free scroll or hyper wheel on this mouse.Second is the shape of this mouse, it allows all five fingers to be rested. It is similar to the Steelseries Ikari but with a much better build quality. The buttons are not as flimsy compared to the Ikari. Unlike most mouse manufacturers that constantly try to make some weird and uncomfortable shape, this design is a pleasure to use.Third, again with the simple design, this mouse has a total of 7 customizable buttons, which is more than efficient for any RTS or FPS games. Adding more nonsense to the mouse will only impede on the comfort and preventing a good solid grip. For those that want maximum customization of their mouse, know that, there is no weights to use, macros are limited to 10 key strokes and the dpi settings is not customizable. Your dpi range can be only 800, 1600 , or 3200, you cannot individually set your own dpi. If all these are the features you need, you may want to take a look and its more expensive brother, Naos 5040 for more features; at a higher price of course. Overall, I am very pleased with this mouse, it is very hard to find a mouse that I can actually middle click with ease and at an affordable price. I bought many higher end mouses only to return it because of all the extra gimmicks that have been added. If you want a good gaming mouse with no nonsense and only the essentials, look no further, this one will do the job nicely.
