High quality constructed cooler all about. Great air cooling capacity. It came with every thing I needed. Nice design and style. This factor is bigger than I expected, but it just fit. This cooler functions good and was worth the added cost.

reduced profile enables use of side case fan in cm 690 ii. the 140mm fan that comes with this is the highest top quality i have seen. its super quiet and drops idle temps by 15c and load by 25-30c. effortless to install. it provides tower style cooler benefits in a low profile design and style. fan colour its less complicated to attach the fan 1st and then mount the heatsink if you use a seriously lengthy screw driver contrary to the directions.

Unbelievably solidly constructed. I want all pc components were constructed like this. Really properly-written directions. Super quiet, quite successful cooling. A single issue I want it had was... I feel it's known as PWM handle. Meaning - the mobo can handle the speed, and you can handle that via application. It doesn't have that. It comes with two adapters that essentially enable you to run the fan at one of three RPM's. I'm utilizing the ultra-low-noise adapter, and the HDDs are now louder than my CPU cooler.Nonetheless five eggs in my book, even with out PWM. Verify their web site to see if your certain motherboard is supported. I'm making use of an ASUS sabretooth x58 mobo with an i7 950 CPU in an Antec Nine Hundred Two V3 case - it fits just fine.I was replacing an additional fan - EVERCOOL HPK-10025EA (NOT quiet) - and I had to pull the mobo to set up the backplate, even though the case has access to the back of the CPU mounting plane. The Noctua mounting plate was just a shade too huge to set up whilst still in the case. The extra function was entirely worth it.

I originally got this to go into m y Antec P182 Case due to the fact of the low profile. After installation, I watched the case temps for a week and noticed they have been on the high side primarily based off Noctua's benchmarks. I then tested it a single day with the case door off, and it managed to retain my overclocked i7 930 at a solid 32 degrees idle (I live in Florida and it's mega hot). Anyways, I tried all types of tricks based off the P182 mods forums and they hardly brought the temp down. I came to the conclusion that I require a new case. I recently bought an Antec 1200 and just place it togther today. Wow, what a difference! Even even though the fan is low profile, possessing the additional space and airflow make a big difference. None. Fan performs amazing. Super quiet.

Building, size are a big plus. It cooler my processor down 53 degrees from the stock cooler. I'm overclocking a I5 2.66 to three.05 and at idle I'm 92 degrees. Under complete load it only went to 118. By far the ONLY cooler everyone should EVER USE!!! The stupid rack pin you have to use to brace the fan kinda produced me mad , so I just super glued the fan to the shock pads and it works great. Not adequate to lose a egg tho The size is best, it sits suitable in between my other fans. Sturdy construction and that fact that it bolts suitable into the motherboard as an alternative of those stupid push pin other coolers use, I in no way knew about this firm but this is the only one particular I will ever acquire a CPU fan from period!!!!

Cons: Large, cannot access components unless it is removed, but easily removed. Difficult for first time install as it uses a large back plate to reinforce the weight of the heat sink which requires complete disassembly of motherboard. (really not a con)

Pros: Fan design - No noise, many CFM, Cools Motherboard, ball bearings last forever, keeps on turning.HS Design - Large spacing between platters, limits collection of dust, Thick platters don't bend easy by accident and allow for better heat transfer. Easy to remove for servicing (just two screws). Sturdy back plate adapter which keeps motherboard straight and true.Plenty of heat transfer compound, can install several times and the compound remains pliable after a long time.
Comment:
This is the best HSF across all manufacturers. I was hitting 95C when overclocking, and this lowered my temps to 45C when overclocking under full load (50C difference). Cooled my RAM as well and generally moves air in my case cooling everything due to it's MASSIVE fan diameter. Takes forever to get this heat sink dusty, and when it does get dusty, it is easy to clean as the fan clips off in no effort at all. Very accessible. Running 24/7 for over a year with no issues to date. (far better than any other after market HSF I used in the past)Why would anyone buy anything else, Awesome value!

This is a extremely well produced cooler. Quality is simple to see as quickly as you open the box. Installation was a breeze also. You don't have to be concerned about more than tightening any of the mounting screws due to the fact the directions say to tighten them till they quit. All the screws are this way. Very safe install and the integrated thermal paste appears to do a good job. I installed this on a Socket 775 P4 three.4 ghz Intel processor in a smaller Sony Vaio desktop which has an Intel board. Temps went down from 145-150 degrees F to 105-110 with the fan setting on Ultra Low. 鼮 RPM). The consumer wanted the Pc to be quieter and this cooler along with a Noctua 92mm rear fan completed the trick. From 58db to 43db noise level. I'm impressed and so was my customer. I didn't get to mount it the way I wanted also due to the heatpipes hitting the energy provide. Turning it sideways worked but looked kinda funny. Nonetheless performed perfectly though. The Sony case was smaller to commence with so the cooler even fitting in that box is a massive statement for Noctua's design. The Noctua fan colors are not fairly. You could mount a fan of your decision if you wanted too. Just make certain it's the identical size. 鳌 mm) It is not as heavy as most higher overall performance coolers. This will be my cooler of option for future builds.

Lighter than it appears. Good job at cooling even with minimal airflow. It's Big. Don't just check your case/mobo dimensions, but also compensate for fans on the back of the case and whatnot. I forgot to include that in my measurement check. Some of the welds from the heatpipes to the major fins look a bit weak and/or missing in little spots close to the ends of the heatpipes. I couldn't use the 140mm fan that came with it since I had not compensated for my two rear case fans. But with a 120mm Magma fan I ordered along with it, it match fine.I was honestly shocked at how light it was offered it's size. I have some old copper heatsinks that weigh close to what this 1 weighs. After installing the cooler, even with a decrease CFM fan than the 140mm that came with it, my existing full load temps don't exceed my old heatsink's idle temps. That's friggin' amazing.

Quiet and easy to install. Ambient temp 20c, cpu operating 27c idle with fan speed of 800rpm I'd have to remove cooler to pull out stick of ram closest to cooler. I removed a Zalmon CNPS9900MAX-B from my program to replaced it with a Noctua NH-C12P SE14. The Noctua runs quieter, same low temps and I've confidence the mount is providing suitable cpu to cooler stress.Create: AMD Phenom II X4 840 3.2GHzASUS M4A88TD-V16 gig G.Ability Ripjaws DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333SeaSonic X series SS-400FL fanless PSAntec Solo Black/Silver Steel ATX Mid TowerWD5000AAKS 500GBSamsung HD502HJ 500GBSFPX95GT1024U2H GeForce 9500 GT 1GBZALMAN VF700-CUUbuntu 10.10 64 bit

Very quiet, reasonably uncomplicated to install, no pushpins or other silly plastic clips. The fan is inaudible over GPU fan. As opposed to other critiques I had difficulties with the fan attachment its firmly attached with the clips provided. Like all other Noctua products its a tiny a lot more high priced than you'd expect. All round, the price is worth it, its a wonderful product.

Fantastic cooling. Fairly quiet employing the ultra-low noise adapter, which slows the fan down to 800RPM according to the RPM sensor. Tower coolers are all the rage these days, but I like the top down design and style and the airflow that it supplies to components around the CPU socket, like the memory, northbridge, and CPU power circuitry. Fan clips had been a nightmare to get on, but most are, this isn't some thing that's exclusive to Noctua. When you get it clipped on, although, it is *very* safe, the fan isn't going anywhere. High-priced (like all of Noctua's items), but they make some high excellent stuff. They also really stand behind their goods, for instance, LGA1156/LGA1366 mounting hardware is presented totally free of charge to owners of old versions of their heatsinks who want to mount them on these newer sockets. Many other producers would anticipate you to go out and acquire new mounting hardware. Actually most almost certainly wouldn't even supply new mounting hardware for sale separately, so you'd have to go out and acquire a entire new heatsink. As I mentioned, I like the best down style, but that's a lot more of a individual preference. According to most of the reviews I've seen, this heatsink is outperformed a bit by the NH-U12P SE2, and contemplating the NH-U12P SE2 is about the very same cost or slightly less costly (depending on where you shop), if you want the finest feasible CPU cooling and don't consider you want the prime down airflow for cooling components around the CPU socket, you ought to possibly purchase that heatsink alternatively.

Quiet! I like that a lot, as I was dreading obtaining an additional rig with idling jet-plane syndrome. The pitch to the fan is also relatively pleasant, it's additional of a gentle "whoosh" than the annoying whine some fans emit. It also comes with some jumpers that reduce fan speed, if you're going for absolute silence.Even though it is nonetheless a huge cooler with a lot of surface location, you have lots of space to fit in in a tiny case that might not take a major tower cooler. Clearance around my RAM is plentiful, and it looks like the only predicament you could get tight clearance to the cooler would be if you have six sticks with giant fins on them.Installation is also easy, the fan clips are really not that tough to figure out, but you may well will need some needle nose pliers to wrangle it into position. When its there, it's rock solid. I took an egg off because the cost vs cooling ratio, at least in my case, leaves me feeling that I could have done much better. Of course, I'm making use of it in a micro ATX method so maybe it just doesn't like the tight spaces, and you have to issue in the fact that a more affordable tower cooler wouldn't have fit inside my case.Don't get me wrong- the cooling is very very good, but it's not wonderful. I'm going to add an additional case fan and see if that may well enable issues go a bit reduced. I was initially going to give this a much lower rating, but it turns out it was my personal dumb fault I was finding horrid temperatures.I had neglected to manually set some voltages in my BIOS when overclocking my i7, and of course the "auto" setting decided to jack them into the stratosphere... I was wondering why the heck I was obtaining 90*C plus on Intel Burn Test (yikes!)Rest assured even though, once I fixed that and dropped the voltages down to sane levels, it is chugging along fine. Running Intel burn test on "high" couldn't pop it over 70. For a notoriously hot chip that's overclocked, being ten degrees from the "danger zone" of 80 (which is even a 20 degree buffer prior to TJMax of 100) is totally fine.

I realely don't have any idea how this factor keeps my I-5 OC'ed at 29c in a 72 degree space, but it does.Beneath max load(beanch marking&vedio stress testing)maybe 40c.Quite quit for the job it does.Employed Arctic-5 thermo previous,as an alternative of past supplied.(Just since)I have no reason to feel that Noctou thermo compond is of any much less quilty then there product, and there product is of the highest quilty, bar none. A small on the pricey side, but for the quilty and workmanship of the item, not realy. An added bonus.(Not that it realy requires it)I have a EVGA P-55 mb with 16GB of ram.The ram slots are situated up close and private to the CPU.So the down draft from the fan, keeps the ram cool.(Not like that junk that I just sold on the bay)You know what I'm taking about. The point that tends to make cable management next to impossable, makes your case side fan usless.Ya that 1. It's costly, but when you see fit&finish of this product you'll see why.Overall performance, the finest I've ever owned.Come full with anything you require for Intel or AMD.A word to the wise.you do have to take away MB to install. When you do,it's mounts are rock strong. The issues going no were.

Outstanding mounting resolution, solid construction, smooth contact surface, big and astonishingly quiet fan. Does a really poor job of cooling a 125w Phenom II 965 at stock clocks and voltage. Idle: 30*C / 86*FLoad: 60*C / 140*F For ๘, I expected a LOT far more from this cooler. I've attempted with Arctic Silver five and the integrated NT-H1, making use of ArctiClean each time. Tried with a dot in the middle of the heat spreader, tried spreading an even, thin layer of thermal compound... similar final results every time. My case is an Antec SOHO with two 80mm intakes, two 80mm outputs, a 120mm output from the PSU, and a 120mm side intake straight over the CPU. Fundamentally, my case is really well-ventilated and the CPU cooler has a direct flow of fresh air. Either there's anything wrong with the a single I got or this is just the least bang-for-your-buck I've ever observed in a cooler. Stock clocks and voltage and 1*C inside the max secure temperature of the CPU? I've been building for 7 years, I know how to install a heatsink. This will be returned.

Incredibly straightforward to set up on an AMD motherboard (ASUS M4A79XTD EVO). The supplied mounting clips and nylon standees worked perfectly with the stock AM3 backplate. Phenomenal functionality; even with the fan turned down via rheostat, I have in no way noticed my Phenom II X4 965 reach temperatures above ㅚ-35° C. I applied the NT-H1 compound specifically per the supplied guidelines, and though it seemed counter intuitive (I'm employed to applying compound by means of the spread method), the results were extremely pleasing. There was negligible "bloom" of compound about the outside edges of the CPU heat spreader, which created for a incredibly clean installation. Based on the kind of situation you have, you might have a complicated time getting the mobo back into your enclosure. I had to eliminate the fan from the heatsink just before I was in a position to slide the tray back into a Lancool K7B as the heatsink and fan assembly was just also tall. Even with the fan removed, I seriously had to finagle the mobo tray back into its rails. Take the NH-C12P's dimensions into cautious consideration prior to you commit to paying for it, and don't scoff at Noctua's recommendation to apply a four-5mm dollop of compound in the center of the CPU and only install the heatsink. I can tell you from personal knowledge that this method works.

Intense quiet140mm FanLow height can fit in most scenariosThis factor is astounding. I bought this since I got seriously tired of how loud my OCZ Vendetta since it was usually at full 2800 RPM blast. So I purchased this and I set it on ultra low noise, which caps it at about 800 RPM fan speed. To my surprise, I believed it would boost my temperatures but as an alternative it DECREASED my temperature by 2 degrees. It is inaudible at lowest fan speed. I really like this heatsink. Quite wide, can block ram slots, expensive

Cons: None that should be unexpected - see below.

Pros: Easy installation.Extremely quiet.Additional cooling to motherboard.
Comment:
I like that it provides some additional airflow down on the motherboard and I've oriented the fan to help move air over my RAM. It isn't much but it helps by a few degrees and every little bit counts. RAM in the first slot of my motherboard(Asus Z77 Sabertooth) is inaccessible with this heatsink installed. I knew this would be the case but it is an inconvenience that should be noted. Won't be an issue once everything is installed unless you end up monkeying with the RAM frequently. The heatsink is not as tall as several other heatsinks I've used in recent years and I'd expect that it could fit in to almost all cases due to the lower height clearance. The actual size of the heatsink, looming over the motherboard, is quite large though and could make for a very cramped case in something smaller like a MATX case.It is definiely better than a stock heatsink and fan for cooling ability though it is not the best heatsink for cooling I've encountered. If extreme cooling is necessary then I'd recommend shopping around and possibly considering one of the liquid cooling kits available. The Noctua NH-C12P SE14 is probably the quietest heatsink I've installed to date. This scores huge marks with me and I give this a five-star review based off of the combination of good cooling and the complete lack of any audible signature. With a modest overcock, this heatsink and fan are inaudible when more than a couple of feet away from the case.I would definitely buy this product again and recommend it to anyone looking for a moderately priced heatsink with good cooling capability and virtually silent operation!

This cooler is incredibly straightforward to install. It gives excellent cooling for my CPU and surrounding elements. I was so impressed by the evaluations I've read about Noctua's items that I bought this cooler as effectively as three 120mm, and two 140mm case fans for my Antec 300 case. The excellent of this cooler and other Noctua products is unbeatable. I really like the fact that with all my cooling accomplished by Noctua I have top notch high quality, noise/airflow, efficiency, and a six year warranty! The case badge had a smudge on it when I opened the packaging that wont come clean. Not a big of enough deal to loose an egg but a little annoying simply because the badge is so cool I want it too look clean.I would actually enjoy a huge Noctua sticker to put on the side of my case. I essentially truly like the color scheme. I think that its great for it to be distinct and unique mainly because that's what Noctua products are, various and special.

It does fit on a EVGA E758-A1 three-Way SLI board, but just barely (Requires some function to get it in about the radiator on the board).Extremely quite. Integrated fan is nearly silent, even below a complete load. Complete aluminum construction is solid and lightweight. Mounting bracket is (as aftermarket coolers go) really straightforward to install on an AM3 motherboard, without even needing to replace the backplate. Included documentation is well written and has descriptive diagrams. Integrated thermal paste is amongst the ideal you can purchase, and there is lots of it to use several instances if required. Heatsink is cut out so you can still get rid of normal height memory modules with no having to pull the heatsink off, really great. Six year warranty on all the parts is a great bonus, too. Integrated 140mm fan does not use the PWM connector normal on most newer motherboards, just an older three-pin. (Shouldn't make a lot of a difference, but it did make me quit and look at other items.)Mounting hardware for Intel boards looked considerably a lot more complicated than AMD, but I have no expertise working with it. On an AMD board, the heatsink can only be oriented in two approaches, not four. (heatpipes will either stick out more than the memory slots, or more than towards the I/O shield.) I purchased this heatsink to replace the stock unit on my AMD 1100T. I'm still seeing practically identical temperatures, amongst 30c at idle and 50c below full load (Prime95). I thought these temperatures would drop some, but I'm perfectly content with the outcome as frankly I was pleased with everything about the stock heatsink except for the truth that when the temperatures began to raise, the little fan started to whine loudly. At the finish of the day, this heatsink is doing what its meant to - keeping my system at a stable temperature and not receiving as well loud.
