Bought this to replace an older Zalman cooler that was making fan noise. This Noctua is perfect for my HTPC as its profile is only 125mm height which is perfect. None of the low-noise-adapters are being used and its still so quiet and cool to the touch. Even when I'm running HandBrake for 4 hours+ encoding DVD's it remains quiet and cool.So impressed I had to buy another for my HTPC server.system:MoBo: Gigabyte Z87X-UD3HCPU: i5 4440 HaswellPSU: XFX Pro1050 Black EditionSLi (2) nVidia GTX550ti'sSoundBlaster Pro sound cardSamsung SSD + 6x 3TB drivessystem is on 24/7

Will match in 4U case and on GA-P67A-UD5. Mounting method for heatsink is very good. i7 2600k @ four.five @ 55C load. Excellent cooling for its size. Fan attachment clips suck. Very good product for the value. Superior fan mounting would make this 5 eggs for its intended application.

Keeps the cpu at a good 30-40C variety beneath one hundred% load. Came with fans, mounting brackets for each Intel and AMD chipsets. Working with in a SFF case with restricted airflow, yet performs properly. Not certain if it was a manufacturing error or damage in the course of shipping, but the top rated-most 5 or six fins are slanted at an angle. They don't slide, so I assume the soldering job is nonetheless great. Surface region's nevertheless the similar though, so no actual efficiency concerns. If you want it quiet and cooling properly, the included fans are fine. If you're like me and don't care as significantly about the noise, I would recommend investing in a thing with a greater CFM. Either way, it appears to hold its own.Note for Lian-Li fans: WILL match into a Lian-Li V351 SFF case, but with incredibly tiny clearance to PSU (ɛmm on mine). But will stop the sliding tray from becoming removed.

at a room temp of 73 this thing runs the cpu at 32C࿹F) and 26C࿮F). quite quiet can not hear the ans run even at 1700rpm. lighter than most other heat sinks out there. the colour begins to develop on you, especially if you have an asus motherboard. got the conversion kit for cost-free from noctua web page got right here in about 5 days and installed quite very easily. heavy sufficient, when i have case standing up the fans/hs place enough weight on it to maintain cpu from creating clean make contact with...sort of worried about more than tightening. that's about it for the cons even though Noctua NH-U9B SE2 92mm SSO CPU CoolerWestern Digital Caviar Black WD7502AAEX 750GBCORSAIR Enthusiast Series CMPSU-850TXCORSAIR XMS3 8GB ƒ x 4GB)AMD Phenom II X6 1100T PowerColor AX6850 1GBD5-DH Radeon HD 6850

All components fit with no issues, utilised AMD kit. Operating a AMD Phenom II Q4 965 black edition. A very good engineer developed this system. Operating with each fans. They are quieter than factory cpu heat sink fan. Dropped idle temperatures by five degrees C. Decreased load temperatures by 10 degrees C. Incredibly pleased with method. Match in a modest case with no problems on MATX motherboard. Have clearance amongst heat sink and memory. I have not experienced any troubles so far.

I have an AMD 1055T X6 cpu operating at stock two.eight and it regularly runs only a few degrees above area temp. I am working with only 1 of the fans. The workmanship is wonderful and it is super quiet. The top quality of the fans is clear and why they are so a lot more costly the the competitors. It is a small huge, so a super modest case is out of the question. This is not a challenge for me. I ordered the 90 degree turn kit for AMD from the Noctua website and their response was outstanding. Not only is the item superb, but so is the organization.

Nicely engineered. High top quality parts. Precise safe match on my LGA775s which run cool and pleased. Unbelievably quiet fans. Fun to look at. Superb docs. It's apparent that a lot of thought has been put into this good product. Annoyingly long wire length when resistor and splitter adapters are utilised. Fan air flow path is not clear. Resistor wires should have labels as an alternative of requiring colour match with docs. This was my first Noctua acquire but I'm now a buyer for life. I was so impressed by the fans on this unit that I decided to replace four other case fans with Noctua 120s and 92s. If efficiency is much more significant to you than the color of plastic then give these a attempt you won't be disappointed.

Looks very good, nactua sent the free rotation kit for amd board, fits in case with substantially room, stupid quiet.....can barely inform its on and that without having lna or ulna, affordable. really should be some other colour, actually doesnt decrease temps over stock amd 1100T cpu fan at 3.three, runs at 40 when idle wish i had a quieter case fan mainly because this factor is like an owl flying via the air.

This is an outstanding heat sink, fan and thermal paste package. My CPU temp was lowered by eight Degrees C under maximum anxiety relative to the stock heat sink that came with my Athlon II processor. The fans are virtually silent, even at complete speed. On an Asus AMD motherboard, the path of air flow is up and down. With a bottom mounted power supply I'd have to cut a hole in the best of the case to get the air flowing because the upper fan was almost touching the inside of the top of the case. Noctua supplies a 90 degree kit to enable the air to blow out the back of the case with the rest of the hot air. I filled out the internet form on their web internet site and had my absolutely free kit in six days (shipped from Austria, I believe). There were some misunderstandings in other people's commentsɅ. The incorporated thermal paste, NT-H1, has gotten quite great evaluations--as good as Arctic Silver, so there's no need to have to obtain any other paste.2. The heatsink has micro groves which are designed to spread the paste, which is easily applied with a single drop in the middle of the heat spreader. So it's not suitable to lap the heat sink.three. I had no problems with the fan connectors, which operate very nicely, and allow you to raise the back fan as substantially as is necessary to clear the memory modules.four. The heatsink is a ideal match to the backplate that comes with ASUS AMD boards, each in the original path as well as with the 90 degree kit.In summary this is a fantastic package. The two fans sell individually on Newegg for ร each and every, and the thermal paste for บ. The heatsink is incredibly nicely manufactured, quite sturdy, and quite attractive if you like function over kind.

I chose this cooler over the equivalent 120mm cooler from the same corporation after reading a lot of critiques and scared myself about case clearance. I am glad I did. This thing is massive, I can't consider trying to squeeze a bigger 1 in my case. I didn't have any clearance troubles but I am sure I would have with the larger version. Tems on my Core i7 920 are 32 C at Idle and 50 C beneath full load. I haven't tried overclocking but and almost certainly won't for awhile however. Don't wanna risk it as well early. These beige fans are ugly. Can we get black fans Noctua? I put this in my very first computer construct without also substantially problems. When I looked at my pc's CPU temperature gauges, things seemed to keep quite cool, even beneath load. There were some issues for the duration of installation, but these only contribute to a sense of accomplishment. It's big adequate that I had some difficulties arranging cables. It also overlaps a bit with my RAM (on: ASUS M4N98TD EVO AM3 NVIDIA nForce 980a SLI ATX) but it worked out okay in the end. After I had ultimately installed it and took a step back to look at it, I worried that it may look like I was working with it to compensate for other aspects of life.

like all the noctua merchandise i've attempted lately, the develop excellent is second-to-none. set up was a breeze, outstanding documentation, SILENT operation, outstanding cooling. i initially attempted the NH-CP12P, but it did not fit in my HTPC case by a few mm - the U9B is a lot smaller sized and cools almost as well. completely none. i have identified this to be an perfect CPU cooler for silent builds where space is limited.

This issue is incredible! Setup and Installation was a snap. The packaging is really intuitive, separating the components for your AMD installation, your Intel installation, and your shared parts. The fans are ultra quiet, and the integrated sound dampening rubber strips are excellent. Mine had been a small oversized but I trimmed them about 1Ǟth of an inch to satisfy my OCD.It attaches directly to the board and is quite snug.It comes with its own Noctua brand thermal paste (I ordered Arctic Silver and utilised it alternatively, not positive how the Noctua stacks up.)I utilised this for my X6 1090T and the distinction in noise level is extreme. I feel like my computer isn't even on anymore.Installed on an Asus Crosshair II Formula board with Corsair Dominator (Memory a heatsink on best, as well as three fans you mount to/above the memory,) and it fit just fine, namely since the way it mounts on my board is in the UP/DOWN position rather than the FRONT/BACK position. So far absolutely nothing at all. Want it was a small less expensive, of course. It's huge! This isn't necessarily a con, additional of a caveat. Make sure this thing fits in your case and doesn't collide with your existing RAM or motherboard bridge. Don't believe the skeptics. A lot of folks bash this heatsink mainly because it didn't dramatically alter their temperatures correct away. The truth is that thermal paste requires anyplace from 25-500+ hours of use to completely become "broken in" and realize the lowest temperatures. I would go out on a limb and say a lot of the reviewers are expecting near-instant alterations in temperatures. Not only that, but there is a frequent misconception that a CPU need to usually run at a lower temp with a single of these. Your cooler/heatsink will only make your CPU X degrees cooler than the AMBIENT temperature of your case. This signifies on a hot day in August if your ambient temperature is higher, so will be your CPU's. Just a tiny insight.

• With my x6 1055T OC'd to three.5GHz, the hottest the CPU got was 43c immediately after a single hour of OCCT strain testing. CPU idles around 30c.• 8 year warranty from the manufacturer!• Comparatively intuitive installation.• Incorporates lots of thermal compound even if you need to have a few trys to get it correct. • Doesn't let adequate clearance for for a 'normal' installation of the fans that attach to the CPU heatsink when working with RAM that has a bigger heatsink (like Ripjaws, trident, and so on)• It will overhang on the very first dimm of most motherboards, which means that you will have to set up the RAM Just before you put on the fan(s), and you will also have to take away the fan(s) in order to eliminate that specific dimm. So my biggest concern in acquiring the fan would definitely be whether or not or not it fit because of 4 sticks of G.Talent ripjaws memory. The normal bracket that is included for the AM3 mounts the fans (I installed both) blowing up and down in a typical case. This place the clips to secure the fans in such a position that they just overhung into the 1st RAM slot, a single for every single fan. Regular sized RAM would have fit fine, but since of the taller ripjaws, I had to mount the fans about 1cm greater up the heatsink. It fits fine in my Antec 300 case and is performing fantastic, so it didn't end up being a major downside. Even with some overclocking, every thing is a lot cool. Effortless install (for a new develop - if you upgrade, you have to take the mobo out to mount the backplate). Good directions. Not in eight languages, English only, but effortless to observe, and that's what counts. Parts come obviously labeled in bags for each platform (Intel/AMD). Fans included are quite quiet. Appears to cool my i7 870 nicely (no overclocking) Had some difficulty attaching the fan employing the bracket. Intel guidelines were not incredibly clear (they had been on every thing else though). In the AMD directions it looked somewhat various and was much easier to comprehend... But then it could have just been me... Even although this is a small cooler, it was still larger than I had believed. No situation whatsoever even though fitting it on my mobo (Ausus P755D-E Pro)

I wasnt expecting this to cool as effectively as it does. The two fans are operating at 1800 rpm and are extremele quiet. I came from a shop bought hp machine with a dual core amd processor which had temps of 35-45 C idle to this newly built laptop or computer with an amd x6 operating at a cool 30 C and 50-53 C total load running Prime. I purchased other thermal compound to use just in case it didnt come with it and I used that for my build (MX-2) The thin metal clips that hold the fans to the heatsink stick out a tiny on the side and stopped me from installing my G Skill Tridents in the encouraged slots.

I purchased this to replace my gigantic Thermalright Archon. Although it does not give me the same level of performance as far as temps are concerned, I am willing to compromise because it actually fits in my case. I had been looking for a noctua heatsink for a while and i was looking for a fair price and a moderately sized heatsink. when this cooler went on sale for 29.99$ i had to get it. It was well worth the price! Fairly quiet too. One thing i was dissappointed with was that it blocked one of my RAM slots on my motherboard (Asus p8z68-v pro)
