I bought these with the power supply gasket to reduce the vibrations of a power supply, together they did a good job. You can hardly hear the power supply anymore. I started with a fairly silent Antec TruePower on my Antec Sonata case. They did excatly what they were ment to do. |

I got this as I was unsure of how well it would actually work.All I can say is it really cut down on extra noise.I can see this maybe being used on really loud case fans, or really cheap cases that don't absorb sound very well.All in all, it works great. |

This is a nicely designed kit with washers, screws with plastic washers bulit in and a frame piece to go around the fan. While they may have been more expensive at one time, at $1.70 at present, it's not a big loss if you don't hear any difference.These won't do anything to make a fan itself quieter, what they will do is help eliminate any additional vibration cause by the fan. I have had cases where the fan has caused a fair bit of vibrational noise and this is where this lit comes in handy. Your more expensive cases are generally fairly sturdy and use heavier metal so vibration is usually not a factor. Cheaper/ slighter cases are more likely to benefit from these. These are well made but unfortunately it does not reduce the noise by one bit at all, I base my review on the fans that I used such as the Vantec tornados. Might work on other quieter fans or if you dont have a side window. |

I have the Sunbeam clear acrylic case with 5 Vantec green LED fans. Because the acrylic is very stiff it vibrates quite a bit if you are listening for it. I was hoping that this would make a difference in the amount the vibration in the case but it didn't. It did make a slight difference but not big enough to warrant paying $13 each. The total cost was $65+tax. They were easy to install, you simply push the fan into it before installing the fan or push it into the fan holder before installing the fan depending on your setup. I do recommend these to people who want a silent case, they are not good enough for me but they will cut down on some of the noise. |
What can I say about this, except that every little bit helps when silencing a system. This won't be very useful if you don't have vibration problems to begin with (slow moving fan). For the price (~11$) you get 2 80mm fan setups and additionnal washers which are a bit big to put on small screws. I think it's a bit expensive for what you get, 5$ would be more reasonable.
