I bought this for my sister, who travels is on the road almost continually. She needed something small in size, but still quick and under $1000. I shopped around quite a bit before coming on this one. The only thing that I didn't like about it before buying it was that it was 2nd gen i5 when 4th gen is just around the corner. Knowing that the changes from 2-3 and 3-4 gen have only been incremental at best, I wasn't too concerned since this ultrabook hit all of the other requirements squarely on the head. It is smaller than a 13" macbook air in every dimension, not to mention lighter. It has a nice display, sharp and easily readable in direct sunlight. Having the SSD versus the HDD/SSD combo that many cheaper "ultrabooks" go for makes it very responsive and quick to boot (can't tell you what the exact time is... it's on the road with my sister!). The Windows 8 OS has been a bit for my sister to get used to, but she has come to like it (though not all of the apps supposedly designed for Windows 8 work correcly... sometimes standard x86 programs are the only way to go. That's MS's problem though, not Samsung). The intelligent backlit keyboard is pretty awesome! Bright light? Backlight off. Dark room? Backlight on! And very seamless in it's doing so (you won't notice it switch unless you are purposely making it switch).I only have two nitpicks. First, and most important, is that a right click action on the clickpad can cause the clickpad to temporarily stick in that position. This means that if you start to navigate with the mouse before it unsticks, it is likely to select  something that you did not want to... can be very frustrating. There are ways around it (such as waiting for it to unstick), but it shouldn't have to be done. The other less nitpicky thing (because I knew about it before I bought it), is that the RAM and SSD are not upgradeable (at least, not without a major teardown).Otherwise, my sister has been extremely happy with it!
