Picked up one of these a little over 3 years ago after my desktop of the time fried, so that I could retrieve data from my desktop HD and use it as extra storage for my laptop.Put the drive in and remember that it never game me any trouble at all. Been using it for the past three years without a single problem. Would definitely recommend if you've got an old IDE drive laying around you want to put to use. |

Very nice hard drive enclosure.Much more durable than some of it's flimsy, aluminum counterparts.Comes with all the cables you will need.Has a cool,bright LED that looks very attractive.Includes a SATA/PCI backplate interface for uber fast data transfers that are much faster than using a usb interface.One of the best and highly recommended. |

It looks great, its light, its great quality like all of vantec's products.I will defiantly buy this again. The guy posting on the forum was probably just using a really old thick drive. |
No problems with this product. It just works and looks slick.It comes with two USB plugs to provide it with extra power, but I have had trouble on some computers where it doesn't provide enough power to the HD even with both USB plugs plugged in. As well, after a few months of usage, the LED light stopped working.Other thing to be aware of is that it does not come with a carrying case even though the image above says it does.
