We've bought this dock to have it connected to our eSATA port on the backup server. Works really well. Drives need to be pushed down so they insert into the sata and power ports after they are slid inside the docking spaces. |
This is a nice hard-drive dock that is a great companion to desktops and for laptops. It is useful also for backing up data to hard drives connected to the dock instead of necessarily purchasing an enclosure + hard drive.It supports 4TB hard drives (I've tested it with the Caviar Black 4TB) and supports two hard drives.One thing to note is that the included USB3 is short so I recommend purchasing an additional USB3 extension cable (A to A) or a USB3 A to B cable (male to male).
