I purchased this as a gift, and can confirm that it works 100% as advertised on the iPhone 4S. The rubber on the exterior is surprisingly VERY comfortable to hold and rest against your neck/ear. No problems so far. The button on the phone serves a dual function, at least on the iPhone 4S. 1) Press the button to answer an incoming call2) Press the button to turn on/off music when not being used for a call. Sound will come out of the handset.
